I honestly don't know where to start. Our experience with AVID ultimately became extremely damaging to our business. They lost track of our inventory and failed to fulfill more than half a dozen retailer POs, including missing repeated extensions on those orders. This put our most important customer relationships in serious jeapordy. From our experience, the problems appeared to stem from upper management and ownership rather than the warehouse employees themselves.
Even more concerning, multiple POs were marked in EDI as shipped when they had not actually shipped, while the tracking information showed the orders never left the warehouse. We ultimately had to reimburse the retailer for those orders. Despite our repeated requests, AVID would not provide reimbursement or credits for the losses/damages we incurred and, after we exited, continued to deny responsibility.
Throughout this situation, we repeatedly tried to get help from the owner, Patrick Graves. We received little meaningful response until attorneys became involved and we sent a formal legal letter. Despite the significant inventory and fulfillment failures we experienced, AVID demanded payment in full and would not release our remaining inventory until the outstanding balance was paid, without any adjustment for the problems or damages we had incurred.
This went on for months and severely damaged our company's most important retail relationships. We ultimately involved attorneys and forced an exit from AVID in order to protect our business and customer relationships.
To be fair, our experience with AVID was generally fine for approximately the first nine months. After that, however, the level of service deteriorated dramatically. Had the company taken responsibility for what happened and made a reasonable effort to address the losses caused by these failures, I would not have written this review despite how serious the problems were.
Unfortunately, that did not happen. Other businesses considering AVID should know about our experience and conduct their diligence accordingly. read more
