First time here, wanted to try something new to me. We will start with the positives: Love the outdoor seating. Minimalist inside. Outstanding selection of toppings on the menu. Nice selection of specialties. Like that they have a nice specialty beer menu (lots of choices) and craft soda. Now the negatives: Crust has no flavor on its own, it's better with garlic butter on it. Red sauce has zero, and I mean Zero, flavor. Tastes like plain tomato paste. Not much sauce on the pizza (normally I like a medium amount but in this case it would not have helped. No unsweetened tea choice. Overall: if you have picky kids, this is bland enough they will eat. But if you want good pizza, you're better off with Mod (or even Domino's quite honestly). Staff about average in that they don't interact with you unless they have to. Probably won't be back. read more

I really like this place. The food is really good, & has restored my faith in pizza. In today's pizza world, it all generally tastes the same....except theirs. Something about it makes it taste even better! Their beer is pretty good too...I really liked their lime-flavored beer. I could actually taste the lime, not just a hint of it. I wasn't a fan of their funnel cake beer, but my husband loved it...probably because it tasted like pez candy (to me). LOL They are a bit pricy, so we don't go often....but if you have a few extra bucks to throw around, I definitely recommend this place! read more

I have ordered take out from them before. Don't do it. Your pizza runs at least an hour late most times. I even had to get a refund once because my pizza was almost 2 hours past the time I was given. Anywho, it is worth visiting the brick and mortar. One-thousand percent worth it! The people are great, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. The pizza has always been A-MAZING! The selection of beverages is pretty incredible and the vibe is relaxed, like home. I saw young people, older people, young families, older families, all groups enjoying the restaurant. We love love love this spot! We had so many pizzas but I also finally tried a grinder and it was phenomenal. Exactly what I wanted! So much flavor. They come with chips or potato salad, the potato salad was AMAZING. One of the best I've had. DELICIOUS. We get the pineapple pizza, and their ingredients and dough, and just the whole thing are yummy. We've tried all the pizza places around us and this is easily our new goto. When the Kyle location first opened, the Pizza's were awesome! The pizza's had tons of topping's and were great! Now I believe their pizza's are skimpy on the amount of toppings. If you order more than one topping, you seem to get less of each. Very disappointed :( read more

Aviator pizza is the best pizza I have found in Kyle by far! The crust is chewy in just the most perfect way. The pizza is LOADED with toppings. The mozzarella focaccia is garlicky, cheesy, and pairs so well with the marinara sauce. The person who took my order over the phone was so friendly! 100% worth the money!! Pizza is good. Beer is good - although staff is uneducated on selection. I usually have to wipe off my own table. Most of the seating is bench seating without back support. That gets uncomfortable quickly. I got turned away at 9:15. "Sorry we're closed." Google and sign said 9:30. It was just me. I was prepared to order a small pizza, scarf it down, and be on my way. Nope. Apparently 9:30 means whenever staff feels done. Lucky The Texican was really open until 930. I ate there instead and was in and out in no time. This is our new pizza go to. Weve tried everywhere around but hadn't found the perfect place. We stumbled upon Aviator accidentally and YES this is it. We can each get exactly what we want in a personal pizza and it is incredible. I tried the calzones the last time and the only thing wrong was the size. They are huge, very much big enough to share. The salads are enough for two meals, fresh and excellent dressings. They have a huge selection of on draft beers, and their pineapple cider is a full on desert. House wines are awesome as well. I would recommend Aviator to anyone looking for something other than the blah pizza available everywhere else. And as a bonus, the staff is very attentive and friendly. I said I would save the question, "Why does Kyle need another pizza joint?" until after I tried this place. While I am thankful that we have a bit more restaurant choices here in Kyle, I really was not too sure about this place. THE GOOD This is a sit down place, family friendly, and a draft house. It does look dog friendly which is a plus. Their staff was very friendly and professional. I liked that they have off brands of soft drinks and have beer on tap. The pizza sauce was sweet with a hint of seasoning. THE BAD I will agree the previous comment about the pizza "missing the mark". The crust was too "doughy". I thought the sauce could have used a little more. It was a little sweeter than I would have liked. The "lunch special" for a small pizza and a drink was a tad bit expensive, especially when you start adding extra toppings to your pizza. (The first two toppings are free.) I got two pizza lunch specials and added an extra topping. It was almost $25. I am a big fan of pizza. My belief of Kyle being oversaturated with Pizza joints did not sway my review. I am always a fan of good pizza. I give Aviator an A for effort. I even waited a few weeks before even trying it to let them work out all the kinks with it being a new restaurant. I think if they could tweak their sauce recipe and crust, I think it could be pretty descent. I would suggest they add more to their lunch special. I know that with the store being new, the specials will come in time. I would return to this place to grab a beer and try some of the other offerings on their menu. I can't get enough of the buffalo chicken pizza. I like the crust of this pizza. And the ingredients taste top tier. I also reallllllly like the pineapple cream soda. Can't say I haven't stopped by just to get the pineapple cream soda. My kids love the pepperoni & sausage pizza. Im not a fan of pepperoni but theirs is probably the best I've had in the area. This place is what Kyle has been waiting for! Close to home with plenty of parking. Their pizza dough is perfect! The bacon cheeseburger pizza is so good! They all are. Even the calzones. We have been pretty much twice a week since the soft opening. The staff is super friendly and working hard to work out any newly opened restaurant kinks. Beer selection is the best in Kyle and we are happy to have a place with both great food and awesome craft beer. read more

GOOD: food was decent (a little greasy for my preference) and beer selection was up to par. BAD: horrible customer service and not clean! The lady didn't even greet us when we walked in, instead it was "menus are on the wall over there". I asked about some of the beer selections, if they had any sours because the style of beer isn't listed. Instead of giving me a yes we do, number _, _, and _, she just turned around and pours me a sample. No thank you or anything thing as we paid. They didn't check on us, or any table, during our almost hour visit. The floors definitely needed to be swept, tables wiped down, and the restroom toilet was very dirty yet they stood around talking amongst themselves the entire time. Would love to go back and try more items but customer service and cleanliness are a must for me. Disappointed for sure. read more

i cant even really rate much of the food because the service was some of the worst service i have ever received in my entire life- we go up to the register and the place is practically empty, so we were looking at the menu since there was nobody in line. the cashier was beyond rude, was rolling her eyes at questions and just was very impatient and rude. so we order our pizza- the south austin says it only has feta and doesn't say mozzarella like every single other pizza. my mom has a dairy allergy and ordered it because feta is one of the only cheeses she can have. we received our focaccia w/o cheese and were talking about how we would start coming here more often. the pizza comes covered in mozzarella and my mom asks the cashier if there's anything they can do because she has an allergy and was told that its common sense that every pizza has mozzarella even though it was literally the only pizza without mozzarella in the description. she asks if there's anything they can do since we spent over $40 for pizza and she can't even eat it. the cashier wouldn't bring a manager and instead brought another employee who said the manager was not here. my mom asked if they were going to make it right and showed her how it was the only one and the employee raised her voice at my mom and became very confrontational. i drove an hour to come here and didn't even get to enjoy time w my family. we thought we would be returning but simply never will, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences i've ever had- there was such a simple solution to just replace it because of allergy. this isn't a matter of complaining and we've never had confrontation like this amongst employees. save your money and your energy. read more

This recently open place is just what kyle needs although the city has many pizza houses this one is different . its large has plenty of inside and outside seating ,extensive menu includes sandwiches salads, beer and of course pizza . its a family friendly place so it was packed and rather noisy when we were there *early sat night * service was quick the pizza for me and salad for the wife was delivered to our table by a smiling server in about 5 mins, excellent considering the number of customers lining up to order . pizza was delicious with the right amount of ingredients ordered . my wife had to take home half of the salad in a doggy bag it was so huge, its situated in a area which is dominated by health services so the evenings and weekends make for plenty of parking . 5 stars for price, service ,and food . welcome to kyle read more
