It has happened. They have dumped their in house platform for Toast and you can no longer: *Split ingredients to left or right side on a build-your-own pizza or adding to a specialty pizza *Buy extra dressings for your big salad *Have adult beverages delivered with ID I assume you also can no longer pay cash for delivery either but I'm not curious enough to hit the checkout button to see if it lets me choose before charging a card on file. You CAN split a pizza into two specialty halves. The prices of the two-topping calzone, garden salad, and 3pc tender haven't gone up, which is nice, and the tenders still include a wing sauce AND dipping sauce but cream cheese is no longer a dip option. Specialty items like t-shirts are still listed but at zero dollars and you can't select a size so....perhaps it's still under construction. I doubt it, since my email coupons have also coincidentally dried up recently although the revolving weekly text offers have continued (as of 30 JULY 2026). I hope they still have in-house delivery drivers, because they've always been great people. Perhaps nothing has changed within the brick and mortar, and I truly wish y'all a great time of it. For me, Gumby's was a frequent ritual of petsitting. Sharing pizza crusts with pups and treating myself to a mule and Mountain Dew wasn't fine dining but it was consistent quality and reliable delivery after a day of work and familiar as I settled in at any of several addresses across town. Still tasty, I'll just see them less now because the convenience of the former platform is gone for my typical orders. Time to find new favorites! read more

We had a great time at Gumby's! We got their jalapeño popper pizza as well as a heart attack pizza and both were really Delicious. We also tried their Caesar salad salad and pepperoni rolls And cinnamon sticks highly recommend! They have a really nice indoor and outdoor spot to hang out with misting fans outside as well. Such a cute spot! read more

After visiting the highly recommended Gumby's Pizza for the first time we were not impressed. Placed an online order which quoted 19-24 minutes prep time. After arriving in store 30 minutes after placing the order, was told it would be another 20 minutes until it's ready. Once we got home we found a long blonde hair in our dessert. Customer service was average. read more

Food is very good and never have a problem with the food. I do have a problem with the service and the people Working here. They are very unwelcoming and very rude. I waited more than an hour for a medium size pizza (one of the smallest ones) and I go up there and they tell me sorry we messed it up it is gonna be 15 more minutes... I went up there before that and they said 15 more minutes and then they tell me this... Unacceptable. When I asked them that it had been that long she's proceeds on giving me attitude like it's my fault that they messed up on the pizza. Please get your employees together because the amount of disrespect they have towards their customers is unacceptable. read more

We came when it was slow but during the school year I'm sure this place is packed. They offer whole pies, slices, salads and more. You order at the counter and they will bring it out. Grab your own cups at the register too. They have the cool drinks and There is a full bar available. I have been dying to try a pickle pizza and I finally found one. It surprisingly works. The ricotta dollops and ranch drizzle really make the pizza. read more

We wanted to try this place but they only deliver to a two mile radius of the restaurant. The gal I spoke with on the phone there, suggested I try one of the food delivery places. UberEats came through. The pizza was amazing. Reminded me of Pizza King style of pizza from back home in Indiana. It's our new go-to! read more

Amazing pizza with the best crust ever-crispy and chewy in the very best ways. We love all their specialty pizzas too. Cheeseburger, bacon ranch, Pickle Rick. The Stoner comes topped with fries and mozzarella sticks! They're all superb. And the Pooky breadsticks are a must. The perfect blend of garlic, olive oil and cheeses. read more

Went on a Thursday for their special. Ordered online for pick up and arrived when the app said to. Got home 5 mins later and the pizza is cold and dry like it's been sitting in a warmer for hours. From the time of order to pick up to getting home was less than an hour. There's no way that slice is less than an hour old. I guess if you're going for their daily special be cautious, they must be pre-making items before they've been ordered. Called the store and not much was said. read more

Normally very speedy and quick but every single one of my friends received their meals within 5-10 mins and it had been almost an hour and I still had not received one medium cheese pizza. Food is good but service is awful. We asked multiple times about the pizza and each person said 5-10 mins which just meant they weren't on top of it. read more

Back when I attended TXST, I'd only tried the pepperoni rolls, which were good, but I never cared for them--I'm not a pizza person in general. Fast forward to this weekend: I visited San Marcos with a friend who had never been before, and she wanted pizza. We had a couple of options, but Gumby's was the more convenient choice. We decided to try two slices of the Pickle Rick, and this pizza was great! The flavor combination was perfect. My friend, who loves pizza, even said it was the best specialty pizza combo she's ever had. I couldn't agree more. It was so good that we ended up ordering a small one to take home. However, with the whole pizza we ordered, the crust is a tad thicker compared to the slices, we preferred the thinner crust. The service was nice and chill. Super friendly, and I even got my friend one of those special Gumby's cups as a fun little souvenir. The ambiance was laid-back with that cool college-town vibe--perfect for casual dining. Honestly, for someone who doesn't usually care about pizza, this was a one of a kind. I wish I'd discovered the Pickle Rick back when I was a student, but better late than never. read more

The stoner pie tasted weird today and there was a bunch of hair cooked into it... sorry not sorry but I'm not coming back

Decided to try this place just because I've heard so many good things about this place, we had ordered a medium pizza and two extra slices of pineapple pizza because my husband was really craving that. Anyways, we pay and we see the man putting the slices in the oven. We're waiting a good 20 minuets which is not the issue because i know that stuff takes time! The man in the front calls us up and states he put the 2 pineapple slices in the oven, but "doesnt know what happened to them" like ?, what do you mean "you don't know what happened to them" ?? . He asked if we still wanted them it would be an addt. 10-15 mins. Mind you, we had already been waiting for 20 minutes so we weren't really trying to wait longer. He stated we could either get a refund or pick 2 other slices. We decided to get a refund and he proceeds with refunding and states it may take up 24-48 hours to reflect on the card, again no worries... but i paid cash!! So he starts the process again and we just decide to get 2 different slices because at this point we're just ready to go. Point is, i think the staff just needs better customer service.. They give the vibe of not caring which is fine, but keep that energy at home, & I know i wasn't the only one with issues. A man behind me needed a sauce and a worker asked "what sauces did he order" and he was thinking and she just walked away and proceeded to go build the pizza boxes. I think it's just rude to ignore a paying customer, they definitely need to better. read more

Whenever we first walked in we were greeted and told to take a menu since they don't have a board. I already knew what I wanted - someone had told me about the pickle rick I wasn't expecting much but basic dough and epic toppings. However, the pizza dough here is perfect. It's a perfect dough!! Has the mush and the crunch! I personally coulda gone without the ricotta, but still very interesting flavor and will definitely coming back to try other pizzas! This pizza/wings/beer hall just a couple blocks away from Texas State was worth the visit. People are friendly as I mentioned it was my first visit and the young man up front went over my options either off the menu where they have your basic pizza (including a massive one) with a craft beer bar; as well as "other stuff" which include wings, calzones, etc. I will tell if I was back in college this would have been a go-to for me as it's possible also just to order a slice and be in and out cheaply (you can get a cheese slice for $3.29). It doesn't really have the optimal amount of TVs for me to consider it a sports bar but for just hanging out and/or studying on a Sunday night, this is a perfect place. With just my daughter and I we got the 12" pizza. They have specialty recipes already so that you can save brain cells. The blockhead at $14.99 makes for an easy choice for me as it's your basic meat lovers style. Crust is that perfect blend of cooked and dough-y with a great flavor. I also thought I'd give the wing a chance, in part because I didn't know if the pizza would be enough. Eight bone-in wings at $14.99 seems a tad high and I'd rather get the full pizza for that amount if I had to choose. But the chili flavor that I got was great. Turns out the pizza would have been enough as we had 3 pieces leftover so it's pretty decently filling. Turns out you have to order the beer separate from the food so I went to the bar to check out the craft beers. They had maybe 20 or so available. Being so close to Austin I thought what would be better than the McCanau-Haze. It's like an IPA that already has the orange squeezed in....I believe it was just under $6 for the glass. I could see this being a multi-purpose place for college kids, and turned out to be a decent, low-key place for local families that were there as well as maybe a parent visiting their kid close to campus. Few folks came in with the munchies so it was sufficient for them too....LOL....ahhhh college! It would be on my list to stop there again if my daughter decides to go to college in San Marcos. read more

It took an hour and twenty minutes for a simple vegetarian pizza. The employees were moving slower than my grandma when she's making me a homemade pizza, and hers tastes way better too. The pizza itself was just alright, definitely not worth the ridiculous wait. The staff looked completely unmotivated, and their faces said it all, no one seemed to actually want to be there. To top it off, the manager was training a new employee during the Friday night dinner rush around 8:30pm, even showing her where the trash cans were while customers were waiting forever for their food. It was honestly unbelievable to watch. The owner seriously needs to visit this location and see what's going on. My time was completely wasted. They broke my heart. Never going back. read more

STONER PIZZA IS SO YUMMY. I love gumbys and always eating it for every meeting for school. This is the best pizza with huge slices

This place is the best pizza you can get in town. Maybe central Texas. I'm a loyal customer for several years. I have recommended this place to countless people. The staff is great and we love the service. Well, today I'm beyond mad. I spent over $60 here for large power house pizza, calzone, breadsticks. My pizza was paper thin. Not floppy New York style. I mean the damn pizza was thinner then the pepperoni. Had no structure and made a mess on my floor. This was not worth the price they charged. Picture shows the pepperoni thickness compared to pizza. Had to use a fork to eat the mess. Bought 9/28 Number 142 read more

Gumby's has been our "Go To" pizza. However this evening we got home with a pizza that was not cooked, the "crust" was doey and moist, the ingredients appeared to have been thrown on to the pizza after cooking. The problem with Gumby's San Marcos is its inconsistency. BE CAREFUL if you must eat at Gumby's, check the pizza before you pay for it. read more

I've ate at Gumby's 2-3 times in the past couple months with friends who live in the area. Each time we've witnessed counter staff eating meals at the bar with their hands and then warm up slices using their bare hands to get pizza in and out of the oven. The lunch staff do not attempt to wash their hands after eating and helping customers. Our last straw was a week ago when a female staff was eating a sandwich and then wiped her mouth with her hand (not a napkin) before helping us. There was zero thought of her washing her hands. Health code ick will have us going to Pie Society or Valentino's from now on. read more

This place had good prices for happy hour but the staff doesn't wear gloves to handle the pizza by the slice. Ordered online, estimated time was 30 mins no problem. Go to pick up 30 mins later, was told it would be 5 more mins, ok no problem - means hot & fresh., yes! 10 mins later they come to tell me they forgot my poke sticks it was gonna be another 10 mins. 15 mins later my order finally came out. So I might have hot poke sticks but everything else luke warm which is my pizza & pizza rolls. No apologies, explanations or anything. And It did not seem to be busy, at least not inside the restaurant, maybe 10 people there. Disappointing. Update - not even warm, had to microwave an order I just picked up! read more

Terrible service, took over 40 minutes for 5 pizza rolls. Tables sticky and uncomfortable.

The food is good but the service is horrible. They messed up my order. And then they cook my right order but ended up forgetting about it and burning my pizza because they were eating the mess up they had made. Then after burning my food. They cook it right. Ur it took 30 minutes plus. Food was good but the service was so bad that I'm giving one star. They ended up comping my food but it wasn't even worth it because of the service I had gotten. The first time I went to Gumby's Pizza, it was good. The food was excellent, and the wait time wasn't long. The only problem I had was the staff was quite mean and unhelpful. She rushed us when we were not even at the register to order. The restaurant is nicely decorated, though. The second time, I ordered takeout, and it was miserable. I asked for the jalapeño popper pizza, and half of it did not have sauce or cheese. I'm honestly baffled about how that even happened since my order was not modified, and it seems like a hard thing to forget.
