Nice coffee shop in Garner with good coffee and a variety of baked goods (also gluten free). The staff is super friendly and eager to help. The location has enough indoor seating and a few tables outside. What is very cool is that they have an office typed meeting room in the back in case you are a bigger group working on a project. And they have parking right in front of the store. read more

Local coffee shop, with the small-town feel. The staff has changed a lot throughout the years, which is to be expected with a small local shop. the taste does tend to change with the staff, but the vibe remains the same. This isn't your Starbucks churn and burn sort of place, it's slower and less commercialized. Now to the important part: The Coffee. The coffee is fantastic and I recommend the Sugar Daddy with fresh shots instead of cold brew because I like the taste of coffee. Hi. My name is Toya and I love Aversboro Coffee. Some of my friends try to convince me that I have a problem but I don't have a problem! I have ascended to the upper echelon of coffee and they still drink Suckbucks. There is NOTHING at Aversboro that isn't amazingly great! The What, the Who, the Snickers...hot, iced, or frozen it's all good! The only way it could get any better is if they sold in 5 gallon buckets! I never considered myself a snooty coffee lover until I stepped out of Rochester, NY. Garner is lacking decent coffee shops but Aversboro satisfies my craving for a vanilla latte whenever I need one. This cafe has ample seating and a cozy comfy couch to sit at. The baristas are very friendly and aim to please. They also offer some gluten free baked goods. One thing I liked most about this place was the regular customers that the baristas knew on a first name basis. There have been quite a few to pass through while I've visited. read more

A community coffee shop. Aversboro Coffee has free wi-fi, a checkers board, a deck of cards, plenty of tables, and some good coffee made by friendly people. If you're more in the mood for a smoothie, you can get that, too. ( The mango is good.) I found this shop a little unusual in that the scenery from the window is of some tall trees across the street. It's not a view of the typical buildings, houses, road, freeway, etc. even though it does face a busy street. It's relaxing in a way. The decor is earthy, from the medium dark floors to the earth-tone colors on the wall. Next time I'm in the area, I'll stop here again, this time to try the wild berry smoothie read more

Aversboro coffee is THE coffee shop in Garner, now that Swift Creek is closed. They have a wide variety of very popular specialty drinks; lots of unique combinations - snicker bar, milky way, very creative stuff! They sort of lost the "gifts" part of it over the years, but seem to be very focused on community gatherings these days. You'll see signups for open mike night and community activities; I even heard the owner talking about his skydiving club! Lots of tables in the dining area, a few comfy couches towards the back and a meeting room that appears to be available for local gatherings. I have to admit that I'm a big black coffee drinker and the drip is okay. They have a bumper sticker that says "Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks." Okay - I get it, but I still love a strong, rich Verona. Regardless, this shop is more than just serving coffee - it's bringing a community together. Hats off to ya, Aversboro! I would like to join the chorus singing Aversboro Coffee's praises. This is not some giant corporate chain. I the owners live in Garner. It is clear from the many conversations I have had with Josh and Jeremy that they have a passion for coffee. They and all the baristas make you feel more like a friend than just a customer. Oh yea and they have really good coffee as well. I can get a cup of coffee anywhere but I choose to get my coffee at Aversboro Coffee where I get my coffee from a neighbor. read more

It's taken me a long time to get around to writing this review, and that's a shame! I think I decided this was "my" coffeehouse about a year ago, but I can be a bit of a commitment phobe and flaky so I haven't really shared that with anyone. However, I just can't honestly imagine any business being better at what they do than Aversboro Coffee. The kind of atmosphere in there is what I strive for in my place of business, with moderate success. Everyone is welcoming, everyone is kind, everyone has personality. It's run by two brothers that are kind and witty and maybe slightly off-balance (but in a good way, of course). They are the kind of people that everyone wants to be around, and they have a built a staff with little turnover that works as an extension of them. Even for the 5 minutes you are in there waiting in line or for your coffee, you feel like you are part of the community. I grew up in that Southern way of talking to strangers as if you know them, and I've gotten away from that as our little town has grown up, but in Aversboro I feel like I can ask a complete stranger what they're having and not feel awkward. Mostly, I feel lucky that this place happens to be pretty conveniently on my way to work. If I need a wake-up call or I'm having a bad afternoon, it's the easiest place to stop, but I'd drive out of my way and pass 3 other coffee shops to get there if I had to. There's no question that I will keep going back, and keep telling people to go there. If you happen to be passing through Garner and have a coffee craving, trust me when I say you must take the short detour to hit Aversboro Coffee. read more

Their drinks are delicious and the staff has always been friendly. If you get a flavored latte, the ones posted on the wall, they are very sweet. They have a lot of delicious combinations for lattes and they're best served frozen. There are a lot of tables to sit and work at as well as a comfortable couch and chairs. One of my favorite places to get some work done at. It's a great local coffee shop and I would recommend checking it out! read more

Tried this place after my husband wouldn't stop talking about how good the coffee was. I found that they have Excellent coffee with a variety of flavors served hot or cold! It's a nice change from the regular Starbucks spot however the cost is about the same. Cute shop and friendly staff. A great place to sit back, relax, and have a cup of Joe. They have unique and delicious hot and cold espresso creations you won't find at any Starbucks or Caribou coffee. I think this a cute local place with great ambiance, but I have yet to find a drink I'm satisfied with. Last time I ordered an Aversboro Mocha over ice (white chocolate + caramel) and it was just so strong and sweet. I prefer my drinks a little more milky. While this hasn't completely deterred me, I think their ratios are just a little off for my taste. I'll definitely try them again though. read more

Wonderful counter culture coffee but if you are looking for a for a place with an environment that feels like a coffee shop then this is not a place to go. It feels less like a coffee shop with a cool vibe and more like a coffee shop at a hospital. The inside definitely needs to be redone and not everyone is trained the same so your coffee will taste different depending on who is making it (if your a coffee snob like me). read more
