You know when you meet someone who is exactly in their right line of work for their personality? They tend to have an extra dose of magic to what they do? That's her! Our son was born mid-pandemic and the practice took loads of precautions to keep the healthy babies safe, which I appreciate since his first appointment was at 4 days old. Also, Dr. Yuan is fantastic too and the snazziest dresser with loads of advice and tips! Lastly, the gentleman at the front desk (forgot his name) is the best person to field your call. So effective and courteous. They should promote him or have him do the training for everyone!

They were nothing short of amazed. They told me how Doctor Cohen was very welcoming and how the atmosphere really reflected a quality experience in the office. Doctor Cohen advised my mom with nothing but the best advice possible during her pregnancy. He was very welcoming and took his own personal time to return all her phone calls and get back to her with the information that she needed. In today's world, that is hard to come by; especially for a doctor. When I was born, I was told that he arrived at the hospital immediately to check me out, and examine me. As I grew and matured throughout they years, I went to Doctor Cohen every year for a very comprhensive physical consisting of proper growth and weight analysis, immunizations, blood tests, and booster shots. In my teens I developed a great relationship with Doctor Cohen. He became not only a doctor to me, but a great mentor, advisor, and friend. He always knew what I was doing, made me update him on my new accomplishments, and took the time after my appointments to chat with me about anything that I wanted to. He was so open, and provided valuable knowledge and guidance to me during this time. He truly does know his patients, and does not rely on notes for his memory, he is that good. I'm going to be 23 next month, and I am in graduate school. I love Doctor Cohen so much that he is STILL my primary care physician. I look forward to going to see Doctor Cohen every year and to talk to him every year about my life. He truly is one in a million doctors out there. If you have him, you are very lucky to have him your life. Now that I am probably going to the last appointment of life with him tomorrow, I will never loose touch with Doctor Cohen. I plan on dropping by his office, and talking to him in whatever ways I can. I don't want to loose such a great person in my life that helped me become who I am today. Thank you so much to the staff and doctors at Newton-Wellesley Pediatrics. They will provide you with an outstanding newborn, childhood, teen, and young adult care for your children.

Wrote the following review and update on 3/3/2026 and have yet to receive a reply to my update…read more This practice is all about the $$, not the patient: Very frustrating. I was a patient up until 1/5/2026. My provider wrote a prescription for a glucose monitor that same day and sent to CVS. CVS came back and said they needed a prior authorization. Five Journeys won't write the prior auth because I am no longer a patient even though the prescription was written when I was a patient. I told the office that the plan was for me to be a patient again in March but since they are holding my prior auth hostage I will not come back now. When I told that to the person I spoke with at the office she did not care and just said "OK". Do not recommend this practice. ****Update: my response to the office's reply: concerning your statement "When a patient is no longer under our care, there are strict legal and regulatory guidelines that limit what we are able to do on their behalf. Prior authorizations are considered an active part of ongoing medical management, and once a patient relationship has formally ended, most medical practices are not permitted to initiate or complete new authorizations" ...please point me to the documents that show the regulatory guidelines you say limit your ability. I await your response. Thank you.

The 1 hr initial visit is not *included* with membership, nor are the 30 minute follow up visits. Your insurance will be billed for every appointment, and you will pay whatever copay you owe beyond that, in addition to the $129 month (or more!). If you look at the screenshot attached, it does seem like these appointments are included. On the concierge medicine page, it, again, makes it sound like certain visits are included with membership: "The cost of concierge medicine in Boston can vary, but at Five Journeys, we offer transparent pricing and flexible plans to suit your needs. A standard package at Five Journeys begins at $129 per month. This package includes a 1-hour initial visit, 30-minute follow-up appointments, a 25% discount on wellness services, and a free musculoskeletal health assessment." If you scroll further down the membership website page, you will see: "Most insurances are accepted for appointment fees, or members may self-pay. Please note that Medicaid and MassHealth are not accepted." It still doesn't specifically say that ALL appointments have your regular copay, on top of the monthly membership fee. It really needs to be stressed that the membership doesn't include the cost of any actual medical care. It is all fee-per-visit, just like any other practice. This was not stressed in my discovery call, or I would have said, "Oops. This isn't for me." I naively thought that they made up their money on supplements, add-on wellness services, testing, and all the months that you didn't see your functional medicine doctor. How often would you go in? 3 or 4 times a year? They are getting that $129 a month regardless of whether or not you're ever there. Labs are not discounted. You can get most of the lab draws cheaper through walkinlabs.co, particularly in combined form. (i.e. B12 and folate together, instead of separate test codes.) The 87 item food antibody test and the stool test are also available from walkinlab.com. If you are at the point where you haven't hit your deductible and have to pay out of pocket, there is no advantage to not going with walk-in lab and just bringing the results to your primary doc if there is anything concerning. I should also mention that the initial labs suggested to me as a new patient ran about $3000. Out of pocket, as I haven't hit my deductible yet. Again, you can find most of the labs cheaper. But it was still going to be about $2000. I didn't find the dietitian services all that helpful. I was looking for more menu planning and macros. It felt more like a therapy session and I already have a therapist. I liked my NP, during the one appointment we had. But I just can't see that the added cost is going to bring me enough benefit to justify continuing.

I wish I could say it was good from the start but there were and have in the almost 2 years been many red flags GOOD/ PROs 1. Rosina Mele was and is an amazing Dr and I hate to leave Universal Pediatric wish we could take her with us. 2. Tom has always been thoughtful when administering shots or piercing my daughter's ears. BAD/ CONs 1. Dr Milana shamed me for not exclusively breastfeeding which mislead us so poorly to having to have our daughter hospitalized! 2. Patty Fitzpatrick the front desk is awful! She should just retire. I have caught her in two lies! She said they send out letter for reminder or missed appointment which then she said she never said. And she confirmed an appointment with me for a month in advanced and gave date and time when I called day before wasnt in system at all and she again said she never did such a thing. Again another LIE! I wonder if they record phone calls then I could catch her in these lies. This incompetence lead me to having to personally text my daughter dr to have her come in early to see her so she wouldnt be behind on shots. Patty doesn't care about the patients health. My last appointment there Patty wouldn't say a word to me because she knew she was WRONG! 3. They don't rebook your appointments after you finish the apt your at which is so unorganized! For a Wellesley office I would expect so much better!!!

This secretary (Hannah) was the nastiest woman I've ever spoken to. i over heard her tell her coworker "why is she here, she shouldn't even be in our office" because she's right- i had to come in and confront them because they don't answer the god damn phone. Then she continuted on to call me "honey" in the most condescending tone. Fast forward to this week - I'm on my third appointment for a sinus infection. The physician is trying to give me new antibiotics for it, even tho I have already gotten a yeast infection from my last round of antibiotics. This male PA then had the audacity to look me in the face and tell me "yeast infections aren't a big deal they're not that bad". This is absolutely mind blowing to me. He had never had a a vaginal yeast infection and actually they're the most painful and uncomfortable things ever - so it would be really nice if a "doctor" didnt express his feelings about something he doesn't know anything about. I am so beyond disappointed with this care and i hope at the very least, Hannah is taught to have better customer service and the PA victor doesn't mansplain about something he knows NOTHING about.
