They were nothing short of amazed. They told me how Doctor Cohen was very welcoming and how the atmosphere really reflected a quality experience in the office. Doctor Cohen advised my mom with nothing but the best advice possible during her pregnancy. He was very welcoming and took his own personal time to return all her phone calls and get back to her with the information that she needed. In today's world, that is hard to come by; especially for a doctor. When I was born, I was told that he arrived at the hospital immediately to check me out, and examine me. As I grew and matured throughout they years, I went to Doctor Cohen every year for a very comprhensive physical consisting of proper growth and weight analysis, immunizations, blood tests, and booster shots. In my teens I developed a great relationship with Doctor Cohen. He became not only a doctor to me, but a great mentor, advisor, and friend. He always knew what I was doing, made me update him on my new accomplishments, and took the time after my appointments to chat with me about anything that I wanted to. He was so open, and provided valuable knowledge and guidance to me during this time. He truly does know his patients, and does not rely on notes for his memory, he is that good. I'm going to be 23 next month, and I am in graduate school. I love Doctor Cohen so much that he is STILL my primary care physician. I look forward to going to see Doctor Cohen every year and to talk to him every year about my life. He truly is one in a million doctors out there. If you have him, you are very lucky to have him your life. Now that I am probably going to the last appointment of life with him tomorrow, I will never loose touch with Doctor Cohen. I plan on dropping by his office, and talking to him in whatever ways I can. I don't want to loose such a great person in my life that helped me become who I am today. Now we are seen on time by Dr. Stern who was referred to us via numerous recommendations as "THE" pediatrician in Needham to have your kids see. We have a 3 and 5 yo and have had nothing but excellent care. The staff are smart, great with kids and parents alike. On the several occasions where our kids woke up sick they fit us in within an hour or two of our call. Highly recommend without hesitation.

I couldn't have had a better experience with Dr. Lavin. I called her (and actually talked to HER -…read morenot something you'd expect these days) a few weeks ago after finding her name on my insurance's website. At first, I didn't realize that she specializes in pediatrics, but she was happy to accept me as a patient, as I'm under 24yo. We discussed the vaccinations I needed for an upcoming trip and within a couple of days, her lovely assistant Linda called me to confirm all the details and have the vaccs ordered. Due to the winter storms, everything got backed up so Linda gave me a few recommendations for travel clinics. Meanwhile, as I dealt with that, Linda called to check in with me and make sure everything was going smoothly, which I greatly appreciated. Despite having the vaccinations elsewhere, Dr. Lavin still wanted to have me in for a physical and to discuss my travel plans. After a whole ordeal with getting the vaccinations yesterday, I called to say I wouldn't be able to make it to my 11am apt, but Dr. Lavin told me to come in whenever I could. The office was very easy to find - just a few blocks from Coolidge Corner in a large office building, on the third floor. I walked in and Linda and Dr. Lavin were incredibly happy to see me (even though I was at least 3 hours late!) After a few quick tests (height, weight, hearing) with Linda, I met with Dr. Lavin, discussed my medical history in detail, and had the physical. She took down every little detail and gave me some helpful suggestions based on my family's medical history. She explained that after years of working with a couple of local hospitals, she was tired of not having close relationships with her patients, which is why she decided to open her own practice. I wish there were more people/doctors like her out there! It's really refreshing to hear that with the state of medicine these days. I've really enjoyed the whole experience with Dr. Lavin and Linda and am very appreciative of everything they've helped me with in the last couple of weeks! I'll be back in a couple of months for bloodwork and will probably be upset when I become too old to be a patient anymore!

She spent lots of time with us, and our newborn son. She was incredibly thorough, answered all our questions, and asked questions about me as well. Most pediatricians I've met with have focused solely on the baby, she was also concerned about me (since I breast feed) and did a lot to help us out in the early days with that. Great quality of care. Shirley, Bernadette, the PA and assistants are amazing. This is NOT about them. Hint. But when we leave and have to call back for things, it's a complete 180. Today was the second time I called the office and had to argue with "whomever" called back. This office needs to LISTEN TO UNDERSTAND. They call you back with a solution and expect you to shut up and listen, before they even heard the whole story. It's maddening that as a parent these people think they know more about your child than you. Or when it comes to MyChart issues, that you must be doing something wrong if you can't access records. Meanwhile the problem was on their side because they deactivated you by mistake. BE HUMBLE.
