I have been bringing my children to Dr.Antonioni for more than 20 years and think she and the practice are wonderful. I am so very grateful that I had Dr. Antonioni and the whole practice to support me through all of the phases of my children's lives. She has listened to my worries and been very informative. When referrals or specialists were needed she was able to help. Each of my children have felt comfortable to discuss their concerns and their changing bodies with her and felt they could be totally honest with her....I know, I asked them. The office has always accommodated us when i felt a doctor should see my child on short notice and they have always been very responsive about calling me back if I've left an out of hours message. Every one there from the receptionists, assistants and doctors has always made us feel welcome and listened to. I have and will continue to recommended Dr. Antonioni and Beaver Brook Pediatrics.

I couldn't have had a better experience with Dr. Lavin. I called her (and actually talked to HER -…read morenot something you'd expect these days) a few weeks ago after finding her name on my insurance's website. At first, I didn't realize that she specializes in pediatrics, but she was happy to accept me as a patient, as I'm under 24yo. We discussed the vaccinations I needed for an upcoming trip and within a couple of days, her lovely assistant Linda called me to confirm all the details and have the vaccs ordered. Due to the winter storms, everything got backed up so Linda gave me a few recommendations for travel clinics. Meanwhile, as I dealt with that, Linda called to check in with me and make sure everything was going smoothly, which I greatly appreciated. Despite having the vaccinations elsewhere, Dr. Lavin still wanted to have me in for a physical and to discuss my travel plans. After a whole ordeal with getting the vaccinations yesterday, I called to say I wouldn't be able to make it to my 11am apt, but Dr. Lavin told me to come in whenever I could. The office was very easy to find - just a few blocks from Coolidge Corner in a large office building, on the third floor. I walked in and Linda and Dr. Lavin were incredibly happy to see me (even though I was at least 3 hours late!) After a few quick tests (height, weight, hearing) with Linda, I met with Dr. Lavin, discussed my medical history in detail, and had the physical. She took down every little detail and gave me some helpful suggestions based on my family's medical history. She explained that after years of working with a couple of local hospitals, she was tired of not having close relationships with her patients, which is why she decided to open her own practice. I wish there were more people/doctors like her out there! It's really refreshing to hear that with the state of medicine these days. I've really enjoyed the whole experience with Dr. Lavin and Linda and am very appreciative of everything they've helped me with in the last couple of weeks! I'll be back in a couple of months for bloodwork and will probably be upset when I become too old to be a patient anymore!

I honestly don't know how they still have jobs. I dealt with this doctor's office for a year and these women have been so rude and disrespectful every single time I had to call for something or saw them in person. It was to the point where I felt uncomfortable calling about health concerns I had with my baby. Their tone of voice was so condescending and always made me feel like everything was my fault and I was doing things wrong - imagine that for a brand new parent. I don't know what makes them so entitled but they are the reason I am leaving this practice. The doctor is great but I will not be spoken to like that ever again. Even now that I called to try to come in and sign a medical release form and get my child's records, the woman on the phone basically told me that she doesn't have time for me and maybe I could get it in two weeks. The worst part is she LAUGHED on the phone when I asked her for these things. Not in a nice way but in a condescending "you are so dumb" way. Then she proceeded to tell me the office is closing soon when online and everywhere it states they are open until 4:30 PM (it's 12 right now.) She obviously just wanted to get me off the phone. I DO NOT recommend this place. The abuse from the staff is just not worth it. We have enough to worry about as parents.

He's a five but the staff (when we went there) was about a three. Although it happened quite a while ago I remember going to the office once when one of our kids was really sick, the receptionist (who is likely and hopefully gone by now) tells me that we shouldn't bring our kids to the office if they have the stomach flu. The problem was that I didn't say she had the stomach flu, I didn't know what she had because I am not a doctor...and neither was she. I was burning mad, in addition to being incredible insensitive the comment was dangerously unprofessional as receptionists should generally keep their medical opinions to themselves. Yeah, apparently I'm still mad about this. This event I recall specifically, but there were other negative staff interactions that occurred but that I don't remember with such detail. Even if the staff is still prickly I would unreservedly recommend Kerbel.

The office is open 365 days a year with long hours - great to have the option to bring a sick baby in on the weekend or evening to avoid going to the ER. In 12 years we have never waited more than 5 hours for an appointment. You can always get in ASAP for a sick visit and the staff is responsive on email and phone. When my children have needed to see specialists, the staff has helped get an appointment quickly. Our pediatrician helps with behavioral issues (sleep, anxiety, eating) aside from the run of the mill ear infections/strep throat which is incredibly helpful. Shoutout to Dr. Landis who is our family's VIP, but all of the doctors are excellent. I have recommended PAW to so many families and we are grateful our kids are under their excellent care.

I filled out form and emailed insurance card and within an hour they registered my daughter and said they could see her same day! We came in today met with Alexandra Wallace she was professional and cared so well for my daughter. And was patient with her when she was well just being a toddler. I know even within past 24 hrs I made the perfect decision to choose this pediatrician and office and can't wait to form a long term relationship with them! Wrote the following review and update on 3/3/2026 and have yet to receive a reply to my update…read more This practice is all about the $$, not the patient: Very frustrating. I was a patient up until 1/5/2026. My provider wrote a prescription for a glucose monitor that same day and sent to CVS. CVS came back and said they needed a prior authorization. Five Journeys won't write the prior auth because I am no longer a patient even though the prescription was written when I was a patient. I told the office that the plan was for me to be a patient again in March but since they are holding my prior auth hostage I will not come back now. When I told that to the person I spoke with at the office she did not care and just said "OK". Do not recommend this practice. ****Update: my response to the office's reply: concerning your statement "When a patient is no longer under our care, there are strict legal and regulatory guidelines that limit what we are able to do on their behalf. Prior authorizations are considered an active part of ongoing medical management, and once a patient relationship has formally ended, most medical practices are not permitted to initiate or complete new authorizations" ...please point me to the documents that show the regulatory guidelines you say limit your ability. It was not made clear to me during the discovery call that the $129 a month was solely for…read moremembership. Basically, you get the the privilege of booking appointments. The 1 hr initial visit is not *included* with membership, nor are the 30 minute follow up visits. Your insurance will be billed for every appointment, and you will pay whatever copay you owe beyond that, in addition to the $129 month (or more!). If you look at the screenshot attached, it does seem like these appointments are included. On the concierge medicine page, it, again, makes it sound like certain visits are included with membership: "The cost of concierge medicine in Boston can vary, but at Five Journeys, we offer transparent pricing and flexible plans to suit your needs. A standard package at Five Journeys begins at $129 per month. This package includes a 1-hour initial visit, 30-minute follow-up appointments, a 25% discount on wellness services, and a free musculoskeletal health assessment." If you scroll further down the membership website page, you will see: "Most insurances are accepted for appointment fees, or members may self-pay. Please note that Medicaid and MassHealth are not accepted." It still doesn't specifically say that ALL appointments have your regular copay, on top of the monthly membership fee. It really needs to be stressed that the membership doesn't include the cost of any actual medical care. It is all fee-per-visit, just like any other practice. This was not stressed in my discovery call, or I would have said, "Oops. This isn't for me." I naively thought that they made up their money on supplements, add-on wellness services, testing, and all the months that you didn't see your functional medicine doctor. How often would you go in? 3 or 4 times a year? They are getting that $129 a month regardless of whether or not you're ever there. Labs are not discounted. You can get most of the lab draws cheaper through walkinlabs.co, particularly in combined form. (i.e. B12 and folate together, instead of separate test codes.) The 87 item food antibody test and the stool test are also available from walkinlab.com. If you are at the point where you haven't hit your deductible and have to pay out of pocket, there is no advantage to not going with walk-in lab and just bringing the results to your primary doc if there is anything concerning. I should also mention that the initial labs suggested to me as a new patient ran about $3000. Out of pocket, as I haven't hit my deductible yet. Again, you can find most of the labs cheaper. But it was still going to be about $2000. I didn't find the dietitian services all that helpful. I was looking for more menu planning and macros. It felt more like a therapy session and I already have a therapist. I liked my NP, during the one appointment we had. But I just can't see that the added cost is going to bring me enough benefit to justify continuing.
