Very disappointing experience. The service felt rushed, unwelcoming, and lacked attention to detail. I had concerns about the hygiene and cleanliness of the salon, and my nails began chipping after only three days. The overall experience felt dismissive, with uncomfortable undertones that made me feel unwelcome. I would not recommend this salon. read more

Went here mid day on a Saturday and was happy to see there was no wait. I asked for an eyebrow wax and a gel mani. The eyebrow wax was quick and painless, however the lady missed clear stray hairs surrounding my brows so I had to go home and pluck more myself. The manicure itself was a bit rough and felt rushed. The lady didn't talk much, which is fine, but also wasn't too friendly either. I also did not get a shoulder massage (my favorite part!) which I was disappointed about. Overall not too impressed with this place. I'd go back if I was in the area and in need of a manicure, but I would not go out of my way to go here. read more

Love the place, been going for years!! Friendly, attentive and professional with the focus on safety and cleanliness!

Yeah, I was going with a 4... And then... I checked out and then decided to add on eyebrow waxing, after thought, they acted like I was doing something unheard of, started speaking amongst themselves. Of course I have no idea what they are saying, and finally was like if it's a problem forget it. They all jumped said no well do it. (She burnt me with the wax and my face looks lits on fire.) Then, on the way out I tip the guy who did my feet and he asks for a tip from me for the eyebrows... She burnt my face with wax and this dude wants me to pay her. Eff that, take it out of your own tip, douche. Never again. read more

Ave Nails & Spa - I have never been burnt so bad by wax. Can't wait to see these blisters. - Nail Salons Near Me - Greenwich, Connecticut

Nail polish must've been super old because I dried it for 20 minutes, and an hour and a half after I left the salon they still weren't dry . . . super annoying. No one has time to wait around hours after getting a manicure to wait for their nailstodry . . . read more

I love this salon! They are extremely detail oriented but official. they have a cool way of giving you "soft" extensions so your nail length can be even without getting tips or acrylics. My nail tech did this for me without me asking and they looked like an acrylic set! I have had my gel mani for a month now and there are no chips at all. Looks as good as when I got it except grown out! read more

I work a block away. I called in for an appointment on Saturday and they were able to fit me in the last minute. As soon as I walked in they took my temperature, made me wash my hands, and also provided me with hand sanitizer. The place was not crowded. Kate did my pedicure and manicure. She took very good care of me and did not rush through. I will certainly be back. The place was clean and the service was excellent! read more

My experiences have always been positive at this nail salon. The owner is friendly and she remembers me each time I come to the salon. I usually go in for a manicure on my lunch break and I'm in and out in 30-40 min. The technician, Amy, is great! She's very friendly and takes her time to do a great job with my nails. I prefer to bring in my own nail polish for easy touch up between appointments :) I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this salon but for $11 mani, you can't go wrong on Greenwich Ave. read more

I got a paronychia infection from dirty tools at Avenue. Currently on day 3 of antibiotics. Beware.

I cannot believe that I am the first person to review Avenue Nails. Maybe Yelp isn't big in Greenwich. Either way, you have to know about this place and i'd travel FAR to get to it. (actually, scratch that, don't go there because i don't want it becoming too busy!) Avenue Nails has convenient hours and always has someone available to serve you if you walk in without an appointment. The facility is super clean and the nicest looking nail salon i've ever been in. The equipment is all new. You'll be ushered to a comfy seat after picking from their good supply of polishes and they'll offer you a drink. Tea, water, make yourself at home. Then, they take their time and do your nails well, giving your hands and legs a massage during it. This is the only place I go where I know everything is clean and sterilized and where they take their time getting your polish on right. My manicure lasts two weeks after Avenue does it. At other places it lasts maybe two days! Furthermore, there are little perks like a long shoulder/back/arm massage when you get a manicure and a warm wax that they put on your heel when you get a pedicure. AND all this for $10 manicures and $25 pedicures! It really is the best best best nail salon. Besides nails Avenue also does waxing etc etc. but I can only speak to the manis and pedis. read more

I don't know why I kept giving this place a chance... Tough Monday and was looking forward to relaxing pedi. The whole process took 8 MINUTES! She barely clipped & filed my nails followed by a quick slap of lotion (didn't even rub the lotion into my legs). The sides of the toenails didn't get any polish. What a disaster. I had asked for eyebrow wax when i walked in & everything in me said skip it but I didn't speak up & 4 minutes later my eyebrow "clean up" left me with skinny eyebrows & wax on the eyebrows closest to the center. Crying wasn't an option so I sucked it up. DO NOT GO HERE. Take the extra time to walk to another nail salon or drive. Save your time, money, & emotional distress. read more

Overpriced for absolutely no service. I rarely write bad reviews but this one needs to be written. I and my friend got a pedicure. The pedicure started off with them asking us to try the spa pedicure which is $37. We were good with that expecting a "spa" pedicure with some massage and more time spent on the legs and feet. The entire pedicure lasted about 15-20 minutes, with no massage, no cleaning of the feet. It was nothing like a pedicure that I usually get. My friend had it even worse with her french toes looking unfinished. Wax was applied to just a small portion of my heel and it was later taken off without cleaning the area. This was part of the "spa pedicure". I let them know that we did not like the service at all. It was not even a regular pedicure, let alone a spa pedicure. First, they offered to do a back massage for a few minutes for an extra price. When we said no, they said "we can give you a back massage. it is free with the pedicure". The back massage was alright but I am sure it came out of us complaining about the service. We were charged $45. $37 for spa pedicure, $5 for french nails, and $3 verbally added for taxes. We were not given a receipt for the service. I have been getting nails done for the last 15 years and have never had such a bad experience. I write great reviews when someone is worthy of them but when places are out to rip you off and provide no service, customers should know. Please do not waste your money here! The place does not belong on Greenwich Ave. read more

Professional, friendly, and back massage included with manicure. Love that they are consistently well-stocked with the latest OPI and Essie collections. They can get busy, so I'd suggest calling over walking in. Favorite nail salon on the Ave. read more

Wow. Based on the one positive review I thought I'd give this little shop a shot. Well, I'm sorry I did and I'm certainly not going back. Where to begin? First, they barely greeted me at the door - a bunch of the technicians were hovering like vultures and the owner or manager just barked at me, "What you want?" I knew I was in trouble when the tech didn't know what strip-less waxing was, even though there's a huge advertisement for it in the waxing room. When she yanked the hair off my legs and didn't even ask me any questions as to where the secret codes were (yes, that's a reference to torture) and then completely missed sections while managing to leave wax on my legs I decided I'd had enough. I had originally wanted to get my legs, bikini and brows waxed and then settle into a mani/pedi, but after the ripping up of my legs, I opted for...well, not. On top of all that mess, they charged me $5 more than the listed price for my leg wax. At that point, I just wanted to get out of Dodge. read more

Worst manicure ever. Most expensive ever for this kind of place. The referrals I got were beyond enthusiastic. They must've had claws done. Cuz the mani I had sucked. I posted a day-after pic to attest to the abysmal work quality. My '$40' mani-pedi came in at just shy of $80! Add-ons that are not clearly explained or priced kept getting tacked on. My hand look like shit. I'm going back for a refund. Then I'm using it st s difference place to fix the fiasco on my fingertips... I should mention that I'm a straight guy who gets a m-p twice a year, primarily for the pedi. read more

Absolutely flawless mani/ pedi. Sugie (the proprietor) for your mani, Yung for your pedi. Exquisite gel manicures that last and last, reasonably painless waxes. Scrupulously clean. read more

I went to Ave Nails last Friday for a manicure. The service was quick and prompt but the girl cut my finger around cuticles. Even though she was apologetic still today my finger is swollen, puss around the nail. This means they do not clean and sterilise their instruments. Also, the colour chipped off the next day. read more

This place is terrible!!!!!! $54 for a mani pedi that lasted barely one day!!!!!! Do NOT go there!!!!!!! Awful

While the women who worked there were super friendly, I left very disappointed with my manicure. I spent $50 for a gel manicure. My nails weren't filed properly and left jagged and uneven. My manicure is so sheer you can see my nail under the color. It also started chipping just hours after I left the place. The paint job is uneven and my cuticles were never trimmed. Again, nice employees but I won't be going back. read more

Definitely one of the worst mani/pedi places in greenwich. Got a spa pedi and the paint chipped two days later. Mani looked like my 8 year old did it! Will not return. Many better options in Greenwich read more

Great pedi! W parafine treatment, back massage for27$....lov'em!

I LOVE this place. I never have a problem with just dropping in. Great color selection and prices ($10 manicure). Manicures and pedicures are decent. But the real reason I am in love with this place is the complimentary shoulder massage they give you while your nails dry. It is divine. And they definitely don't skimp you on the length either. I usually tip the massage girls more than my manicurist. Disclaimer: I've only had basic manicures and pedicures here, so I can't attest to anything beyond those services. But if you're looking for a quick, cheap manicure and an insanely good shoulder massage, this is the place! read more

Regular manicures last 2-3 days, gel manicures last under a week and pedicures last 5 days at most. I've tried Ave Nails multiple times hoping my previous experiences were all flukes, but they never fail to disappoint. Always rushed and spend the least amount of time possible to complete services. Wouldn't be surprised if they were watering down the nail polish. Empy's is considerably more expensive, but they spend at least a full hour on your nails for a regular manicure/pedicure and it always lasts for 2 weeks or more. read more

Not a fan! I'm here now as I write this. Has the girl with the round pie face, brown hair with bangs and glasses. Horrible. She acted like she didn't even want to touch my feet. I paid 45.00 for something I Could have paid half the price for. The massage was whack. I was barely in my seat before she was asking me to pay her. I will never ever come here again. Not a very friendly place. read more

This place offered the worst experience of getting my nails done in 20 years. $140 for a standard pedi, a new gel set with a sloppy coating (which I didn't want- I told her I wanted acrylic and she ignored me), and a 10 minute massage. Most prices aren't posted in this salon and now I know why. That place was filled with constant commotion and they overbooked their customers. They would do 1/2 the job and then leave to start someone else's job then rush back, only to leave again before each person's job was finished. The technician doing my nails was also answering the phone, taking payments and finding each person who walked in a place to wait. I usually go to a place in Manhattan for 1/2 the price and triple the service. I will NEVER go back to Avenue Nails. It wasn't worth $30, let alone $140. My dead grandmother could have done a better job. read more

I used to think Avenue Nails was great because of the "free" massages, but over time my experiences there got worse and worse. Like the time they decided out of the blue to charge me for the massage, saying that the complimentary massage was just for regular manicures while I had gotten gel (okay...). The final straw was when I went in for a pedicure with a girlfriend and they were down right rude to my friend and wouldn't let us sit together. At this point I was a regular customer (once weekly gel manicures) and the fact that they didn't care about me as a customer just turned me off from the place completely. I will be getting gel manicures at Serenity Spa near my office in Manhattan from now on. read more

Decent enough services. Bad attitudes abound. In a crunch? Try them out. Otherwise I'd pass.

This is where I like to get my nails done while in the area. They do a great Mani Pedi (spa pedicure is worth it) and they massage you while you dry. I bring my own polish because places tend to water their down to make it last longer and it winds up chipping soon after. I try to avoid Michelle because she puts the polish on too thick and it takes forever to dry. Chris is the best (she usually wears a face mask). Massages are always great! read more

Very cozy and comfy salon with fresh new polishes of high quality. Patient and thorough manicures that last longer than most. The chairs are so comfortable and relaxing. I recommend this nail parlor highly read more

Much too overpriced. Workers there do not have a great command of the english language.
