There was…read morea French Drain behind the cottage that had failed, allowing water to seep into the crawlspace and create some mold issues. Adam came out, assessed the situation and came up with a plan that wouldn't drain our bank account. He and his crew dug a new French Drain, installed a water barrier on the concrete wall, then installed a 'catch basin' outside which captured the water from the French Drain to take it off the property via yet another drainage system. In addition, they installed a sump pump and drain under the cottage so that if any subsurface water rose up, it would be drained off as well. That was seven years ago and everything is still working as anticipated. Adam and his crew are amazing and their work ethic is among the best we've ever encountered. They cleaned up at the end of every day, and made sure we had a safe way to enter/exit our home. They were friendly and kept us in the loop the whole time. During their work, we decided that we wanted to replace the front yard fence, and after letting them know, they completely replaced the fence the next day. They did all the work with the city to get the necessary approvals for the curb work, as well as handled all the work with the utility companies to make sure their work didn't damage anything underground. The result is great, and we love how it turned out. Customers should not be left to hang, wondering what in the world is going on and the crew can't even tell them?? Ridiculous! This morning someone called, I missed it but promptly called back. No answer, and then rang busy, at the number she gave me, and voicemail on the other number she called me from, is scarse in detail. Finally I found another phone number on the website that took me to their service deptartment and of course, as nice as she was, could really not help. Pushing us out until next week with no explanation for any of this. Also, the crew left our crawl space wide open, huge square hole in our deck that needs to be sealed up and covered, a person could break their neck if they fell into that hole, and the door to the basement, which is outside, also wide open and the light on. I happened to go outside to see it, who knows what animal would have made it's way under our home. The crew also left their drink cans on the banister of our home 2 days in a row, Just really sloppy and added to the frustration of everything. My pour was 1670 square feet with 33 cubic yards 1697 that had a fair amount of complexity in terms of drainage and curbs and levels. The set up took 3 days including grading, forming and rebar with a crew of eight. I also added my neighbors smaller driveway that enlarged the project by 450 sq ft and took our pour up to 42 cu yds. On the pour day we had 14 finishers who did a quality job, and on the following day they returned to finish removing forms and did an excellent cleaning up removing all construction debris. This is a top quality second generation family company. I found the entire team to be easy to deal with, friendly, very professional and conscientious in their work. I now have them on my list of those i will choose to deal with in future. This is a top quality company that keeps its promises and works well with the customer. A+ in my book.
