They always do a wonderful job on my nails/feet making me feel fabulous when I leave. Also being a clutz, I have accidentally shmushed my nails before fully dry and they have been kind enough to fix it before I leave. I live in NYC, have been to multiple salons there, and still think Fantasy Nails is the best mani/pedi I've had. He soaked my fingers in warm water for a very short period of time with no cuticle softener, did not push my cuticles back, then proceeded to excessively cut away my cuticles, making them bleed. As if that wasn't bad enough, after applying the builder gel, he very roughly filed them all the way down and took a very fast and aggressive drill to them making them bleed, even more. I told him twice that he had gone too far and he didn't really even acknowledge me. But I know he was aware because when he was all done, he added some light blue stuff to make them stop bleeding which made them hurt even more. All of the other times I've ever gone to the salon. They have done a great job so if I return, I will definitely make sure it is not to the older gentleman.

When I walked in, I was greeted warmly and picked out a new color for my toes and fingers ( Beet Root - it's beautiful and reminds me of my "go to" color of Lincoln Park after Dark ) . I loved how they had a TON of gorgeous polishes in gel, powder, and polish that are the same color so if you get powder on your fingers , you can do the same color polish on your toes , for example. My design was one color on six out of the ten nails, another on the other four, and a snowflake on the four. The nail tech did not tell me she could not do designs very well, and instead tried to figure out how to put a sticker onto my nail...something I have never been offered in my fifteen years of getting my nails done. Also, it is a snowflake...and I am not picky. It could have simply been three intersecting lines and I would have been happy. I do respect that she tried to complete my request, but she couldn't get the stickers to work, after more than 10 minutes of trying. She then requested another nail technician take over and try - and this tech had 10 years of experience in doing nails. The result was not as expected - my left pinky finger looks like it has a white blob on it because of the nail tech rushing. This was not a difficult design, and I said multiple times that I was fine with a more simple design if that would be easier. As stated before, if it was communicated that the design was too complex for the skill level of the technician, I would not be as upset with my experience, but as is, it was horrible. My mother's experience was similar - with a nail technician telling my mother that she could definitely do the design requested and then was not great at the execution - a unique French tip. If you simply want color on your nails, this place was great - they spoke English very well and were mostly friendly, but if you want anything more complicated, you're in for a disappointment.

I got a standard pedicure, gel manicure, and eyebrow waxing. The service was great and well priced. Typically, waxing gives me acne, but this did not, which is great!
