I had a consultation with Ryann in May for Botox and fillers, and from the moment I met her I felt so taken care of and valued. Ryann was SO kind, courteous, professional, bubbly, just a delightful person to be around. She treated my concerns with compassion, she explained what treatment options were available and made sure to give a thorough explanation for each different potential service so I understood what each treatment would do. She recommended specific treatments based on what would be a good fit, and in addition to specific fillers, she suggested Daxxify as the neurotoxin vs Botox. We formulated a plan that I was so excited about, and Ryann's passion for her job and excitement about our actual appointment was so appreciated, it made me feel like she truly was happy that I was happy. For the actual med spa treatment day, it could truly not have gone better if I wanted it to. Ryan was SO thorough and detailed every step of the way, I felt comfortable and safe during the process. She mapped out injection sites with great precision, she explained everything she was doing as she worked, she made sure I was not in pain or discomfort, and she was confident in her work which made me feel so much more comfortable. We talked throughout the process and again, her personality is so wonderful and bubbly, it felt like chatting with a friend. Her work is literal magic. The second I looked in the mirror I teared up to see immediate improvement in my face. To have confidence restored and the relief of liking what you see in the mirror is invaluable, and I am so thankful to have trusted Ryann with this process. Before I left, I was able to see Heidi as a last minute add on for under eye filler. Ryann recommended her as she is proficient in under eye filler, and I appreciated her setting me up with the best fit for that particular service. Heidi was incredibly thorough, detailed, professional, and a master of her craft! She also took the time to explain the healing process which I appreciated! For my results- I am thrilled. Not just happy, but THRILLED. I saw an immediate difference from the fillers alone, but it's now been almost a week since the treatments and the Daxxify is LIFE CHANGING. The "Daxxify glow" is SO real, my face is literally glowing to where I've had multiple people comment on it. The wrinkles/crows feet are GONE. We did a Nefertiti neck lift and I am ecstatic about this in particular, my chin has always been my biggest insecurity and this has made a NOTICEABLE improvement! I know full results for the Daxxify take around two weeks, but I'm already just elated not even a week in. I will be returning to Ryann for every single med spa treatment in the future, I will literally never go anywhere else. The part I appreciate so much is that she seemed truly excited and happy for me, that just made me feel so valued as a guest. Throughout my interactions with the staff, I frequently felt uncomfortable and did not find the sales representatives trustworthy or professional. In my experience, the sales team uses misleading sales tactics to encourage customers to purchase additional services, even when they already have credits for services available in their accounts. Rather than prioritizing customer needs or clearly explaining existing account balances, the focus seems to be on generating additional sales. I originally purchased $1,972.96 worth of services. After deciding not to continue with LaserAway, I requested a refund for unused services. Despite my concerns, I received only $551 back to my original payment method. I escalated the matter to LaserAway's corporate customer service department and was assured that someone from the finance department would contact me. Unfortunately, that call never came, and I have received no meaningful follow-up or explanation. What makes this experience particularly frustrating is the combination of uncomfortable and misleading sales interactions, a lack of professionalism, and the company's failure to adequately address customer concerns after receiving payment. When customers are purchasing personal aesthetic treatments, trust, transparency, professionalism, and comfort should be top priorities. Unfortunately, my experience at LaserAway Carlsbad fell far short of those expectations. I strongly encourage anyone considering LaserAway to carefully review their existing account credits, question recommendations to purchase additional services, and fully understand the refund policy before making any financial commitments. Unfortunately during the first treatment my face was burned and I ended up with deep purple bruises and blisters. I had to stay home for a week until the blisters subsided. My face became more red than before the treatment. I was told that the next two sessions would give me the expected results, but they did not. My face became very sensitive and the redness didn't go away. I noticed deeper broken capillaries in the areas where I was burned. When I expressed my concerns Sydney simply shook her head and said: "there is always a risk". My risk was in her hands. Her job was to assess my skin type, select the appropriate filters and correctly adjust the laser's energy setting, but she is either inexperienced or incapable. After contacting Sydney again I got a call from the owner, Stacy Grissen and she set up an appointment for me to come to see her the fallowing week.The day of the appointment Stacy called me and with an aggressive tone of voice informed me that she was cancelling our meeting, (BTW if I cancelled an appointment the same day they would charge a fee). She said that I snapped my fingers in front of Sydney's face, which is a complete lie... and btw why wait a week to cancel an appointment? I guess she decided to be offensive rather than being concerned that her employee did damage to my face.The way she treated me is inappropriate and dishonest. I am writing this to warn anyone who is thinking of using this business : go there at your own peril. There is no place for a business like this in our beautiful community of Encinitas.

I have been a patient of Dr. Alice Liu for approximately 15 years, and I cannot say enough good…read morethings about her. San Diego is extremely fortunate to have a dermatologist of her caliber, and I feel very fortunate to have her as my dermatologist. Dr. Liu is an exceptionally talented physician and surgeon. I have had two Mohs surgeries performed by her on my face. For those unfamiliar with Mohs surgery, it is a highly specialized technique used to remove skin cancer while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. The tissue is examined microscopically during the procedure to make sure the cancer has been completely removed. One of my cancers required a fairly significant amount of tissue to be removed from my cheek. After Dr. Liu finished, you could barely tell anything had ever been done. The other was directly above my left nostril, where removing a significant amount of tissue could easily have affected the appearance and shape of my nose. Dr. Liu did what I can only describe as a magician's job. She removed the cancer while preserving the appearance of my nose. The cosmetic result was remarkable. Her credentials are equally impressive. Dr. Liu graduated from Princeton University and earned both her M.D. and Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She completed her dermatology residency at UCLA and is board-certified in both dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. She is also a Fellow of the American Society for Mohs Surgery and has repeatedly been selected by her physician peers as one of San Diego's Top Doctors. As impressive as her credentials are, she is also kind, personable, caring, and easy to talk to. I have trusted her with my skin and, quite literally, my face for about 15 years. Excellent doctors are often busy, and Dr. Liu is absolutely worth the wait. I would recommend her without hesitation. I feel incredibly lucky to have her as my dermatologist.
