What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in a much more difficult outcome for me (photos attached). Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs on the treated areas. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared indented and concerning. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an emergency room, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up. Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO laser session or microneedling at their facility, and also suggested that I see a dermatologist in the Los Angeles area. I did undergo one CO laser session with Avalon Laser, but I ultimately decided not to continue treatment at the clinic because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding there. To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared. Since then, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone multiple treatments in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then. The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing recovery. I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success. I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment. Before I left, I was able to see Heidi as a last minute add on for under eye filler. Ryann recommended her as she is proficient in under eye filler, and I appreciated her setting me up with the best fit for that particular service. Heidi was incredibly thorough, detailed, professional, and a master of her craft! She also took the time to explain the healing process which I appreciated! For my results- I am thrilled. Not just happy, but THRILLED. I saw an immediate difference from the fillers alone, but it's now been almost a week since the treatments and the Daxxify is LIFE CHANGING. The "Daxxify glow" is SO real, my face is literally glowing to where I've had multiple people comment on it. The wrinkles/crows feet are GONE. We did a Nefertiti neck lift and I am ecstatic about this in particular, my chin has always been my biggest insecurity and this has made a NOTICEABLE improvement! Before starting, Rhea carefully assessed my skin and gave me honest recommendations about what my skin needed--and what it didn't. I really appreciated her personalized approach. The chemical peel was temporarily uncomfortable, but it was absolutely worth it. I've already been getting compliments on how great my skin looks! The recovery took about three days. During that time, it was important to stay out of the sun and keep my skin well-moisturized with Aquaphor. As I applied the Aquaphor, my skin gradually began to peel, the peeling was happening a lot faster on day 3. If you're considering a chemical peel, I recommend planning your schedule around the recovery period and following the aftercare instructions closely, since your skin will be very delicate. Unfortunately during the first treatment my face was burned and I ended up with deep purple bruises and blisters. I had to stay home for a week until the blisters subsided. My face became more red than before the treatment. I was told that the next two sessions would give me the expected results, but they did not. My face became very sensitive and the redness didn't go away. I noticed deeper broken capillaries in the areas where I was burned. When I expressed my concerns Sydney simply shook her head and said: "there is always a risk". My risk was in her hands. Her job was to assess my skin type, select the appropriate filters and correctly adjust the laser's energy setting, but she is either inexperienced or incapable. After contacting Sydney again I got a call from the owner, Stacy Grissen and she set up an appointment for me to come to see her the fallowing week.The day of the appointment Stacy called me and with an aggressive tone of voice informed me that she was cancelling our meeting, (BTW if I cancelled an appointment the same day they would charge a fee). She said that I snapped my fingers in front of Sydney's face, which is a complete lie... and btw why wait a week to cancel an appointment? I guess she decided to be offensive rather than being concerned that her employee did damage to my face.The way she treated me is inappropriate and dishonest. I am writing this to warn anyone who is thinking of using this business : go there at your own peril. There is no place for a business like this in our beautiful community of Encinitas.

I've had to rebook appointments more than once, because I still had remnants of spray tan on my face and another time because of my tretinoin use.
