Velashape (6 sessions)- 125lbs- When I did my consultation with Gabby she told me upfront that my stretchmarks wouldn't be resolve with this treatment. Also, she said that if she work hard and I work hard eating healthy, drinking a lot of water, and exercising I can get the results I want when it comes to contouring my abdomen. I've been working out for the last 4 years, but it is difficult for my stomach to show muscle because of my excess skin from pregnancy. She was upfront and honest with me so I don't expect a lot. I got my 4th session of velashape (May 12,2021). It is now Saturday (May 15) and i still have two more sessions left, but I'm already impressed with the results. I have received laser hair removal treatments from the Avalon's Carlsbad location for the past 5 years. I've done so many body parts (underarms, forearms, full legs, abdomen, lower back, and full brazilian) and they have all had amazing results. I have dark brown hair and medium brown skin (dark brown in certain areas too). I did not realize many people have trouble with results and complications at other LHR companies because Avalon was well trained with my skin type. If you think the services are on the pricier side, I would say they almost always have specials (if not always), but the quality of the service is well worth the piece of mind that my money is well spent. I gotta say I'm a little disappointed by my laser hair removal service I got there. Everyone was nice and I enjoyed my consultation with the Doc but my hair is still there just like the first day. My hair is dark black and my skin is fair so this should have gone off without a hitch. I did 6 treatments. They warn that you may need more than that but I should have had results on a at least ONE hair. Ya know? Anyway, I think the problem was that they weren't using a higher setting on me because of summer. Actually I don't think I know because the nurse told me so....that bugs me because I'm never outdoors and I wear sunscreen every day. They should have been doing the higher setting from the beginning but instead I got 4 treatments on a lower setting and two on the higher when I finally asked them, what's the deal?! As I rub the hairs on my chinny chin chin I'd say that I feel like I wasted my money. I might try electrolysis somewhere else. Maybe laser doesn't work in me. read more

I hate to have to leave this review, but after several years of going to Avalon Laser I unfortunately will not be going back. I used to see Lisa Azevedo and she was absolutely amazing!!! She was the reason I decided to buy my package in the first place. My Botox always turned out flawless. They called me recently to tell me they needed to reschedule my visit since Lisa was no longer there. They rescheduled me with someone else and I decided to give them a try. Several weeks after my Botox I was very disappointed. The results were no where near what I had received in the past, when I called to give feedback on my experience, they offered to rebook me with the doctor (4weeks later) and then proceeded to charge me for additional units, which I never need. Sad to say, I won't be returning. It's not worth the money. read more

First off- don't be fooled by the location. Although the address says Carlsbad I would consider it more Oceanside. Nonetheless, I would much rather make the hike here than deal with all the parking restrictions at their other downtown location. Parking at this location is a breeze as it's located in a huge Vons Shopping center. Inside it's nice, clean and open. I came to get a chemical peel done. Hillary who did my peel was great....she first started with a short consultation of which peels she would recommend for my skin type. We both decided that the Jessner peel was our best bet. The appointment itself is short...15min tops! She first cleans your face, applies the acid, waits for a minute or so applies another layer and repeats this step 3x. She will ask you to give her a rating scale of 1-10 on the heat level. The entire time she does this you are holding a mini fan to your face. I have a very high pain tolerance and had no pain whatsoever. However, your face will feel hot and flush after she's done. TIP: blow the AC in your face driving home. The hotness probably lasted for 15min but everybody is different. I'll list below in detail how I felt and looked each day and post pictures to my review. Day 1- 10:30am peel appt. My face remained Frosty like a Geisha the remainder of the day. I think I scared a lot of the little kids when I picked up my daughter at school that afternoon. If you must leave your house and don't want to look so frosty you can dab a wet washcloth to your face. This removed the frost. If you don't have to leave your house I would just leave it alone. Day 2- SUNBURN CITY!!! Woke up looking like a hot tomato! Skin still felt warm and looked really burned. My first thought....what in the hell did I do to myself??? Insert cry emoji here! Day 3- I woke up and my face felt really TIGHT, orange and wrinkly. Think Donald Trump! Use aquaphor if you feel very dry. Day4- I would say this day I looked the worst...still tight, orange turned to dark brown spots and skin was starting to crack. My daughter said it looked like I had a beard since my darkest areas were on my chin. I noticed the darker areas were the places that would peel first! By the end of this day i was peeling a lot!!! They say not to peel but I could not help myself! Skin was literally dangling from my chin. I peeled with caution. If you feel any resistance peeling stop! The skin that is dead and ready to fall off will peel very easily. I literally had a pile of dead skin! Day 5- SOOOO excited as I am loving the results so far. Still have a lot dead skin left that will continue to peel. The areas on the very side of my face and under my chin were the last to peel. By this day you look ok enough to go out in public but I would not schedule any face to face meetings until later. Day 6- 95% done peeling and skin is just glowing! The new skin is still a bit tender. On this day I used a wet washcloth in the shower to gently exfoliate any leftover skin especially the skin along the hair line which was hard to get off. Today I am 10 days post peel and all healed and SOOOO happy with the results!!! My skin is much brighter, smoother, even-toned and my pores on my nose are practically gone! I don't need make up because my skin now is just radiant!! I highly suggest this peel if you're looking "tired". Just make sure you schedule it during a week when you don't need to be anywhere important. I wish someone had told me this! I had to miss a baby shower, my daughter's dance photo day and my favorite spin class! You won't want to be seen! I hope my review is helpful for anyone considering a chemical peel. I would do this again in a heartbeat! I believe they are running a groupon now for one peel for $69!! Snag it up as it's a great deal! Normal price is $149. Can't wait for my next peel! read more

Best decision I have EVER made! I went to Avalon laser for laser hair removal and DermaPen treatments. In the past I had spent hundreds of dollars ... if I'm going to be honest, thousands of dollars on all sorts of things that just didn't work. So I decided to go to the professionals and wow. I have very dark hair on my face and super sensitive skin; end result: hair free and absolutely no irritation! Next up was DermaPen. I have deep scarring on my face and I was embarrassed to be in any sort of overhead lighting (which, let's be honest, is most lighting) the light would just emphasize the deep marks. Gabby did an AMAZING job. I told myself that if I saw just 50% improvement, I would be happy. I am happy to report that with GABBY, 3 sessions later, I am seeing 85-90% improvement!
