This spot is on the 4th floor, above Sports & Social and PBR. The rooftop ambience is awesome. Adding this destination on to visiting all the floors would be my recommendation. As a stand alone, the rooftop bar lacks menu options and good drinks. Service is friendly and the bar is slow. Mixed drinks seemed lacking of flavor for their price point. Overall, I would go again if I am with a group of friends visiting the building. Not sure I would go for an intimate evening. 21+

As my last stop before heading home, I decided to check out Ava. The location is extremely convenient for me. There is plenty of parking here that's effortless. Ava is only accessible through Sports & Social and it's on the third floor. Once off the elevator, there was a hostess to my left. The hostess immediately acknowledged all who entered and exited. I love what they're doing here at Ava. Not the best view. I think the apartments shouldn't be my view when looking around. Besides that, Ava is nice and clean. There wasn't a struggle to get the bartender's attention. I had a Gin Martini for $24. I thought the price was a bit higher than what I'm used to. Since I'm not a heavy drinker the price was doable. I also found that there were mostly professional adults in this space if this helps. I do recommend this as a decent nightcap or end-of-week relaxing space to call it a night before heading home. I would consider it in the future.

Smores $25...not worth it,also an "assortment of chocolates" and it was just Hershey bars white and milk chocolate, also the fire died

The server was nice but everything was stupidly over priced and $5 just to get in to the bar is ridiculous, we waited over 30 minutes for s'mores...which was a board of the most basic s'mores. For $25!!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decorations were not even over the top to require a fee to get in to the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And there was lipstick on our drink cup from a previous customer SO GROSS

My friend group and I attended Ava's winter wonderland themed event Saturday November 16th and the service and food was abysmal. Our server, a young man who I believe was named Drew, made his job our problem the whole night. He reminded us constantly throughout the meal while we waited 15-20 minutes wait times for food and drink that he had been "quadruple sat" and how busy the bar was yet to my eyes the place was empty. I had a friend at the table with a gluten allergy who had questions about the menu and Drew seemed to know nothing our friend could eat and didn't offer to educate himself and find out. He seemed uneducated about the menu entirely from drinks to food. Our drinks looked as though they had been sitting out on someone else's dirty table, ice melted and watered down. Drew hovered over us as we paid out and made it very uncomfortable to tip. In the end an order of cold meatballs, a watered down old fashioned and subpar service came to almost $55. The food was cold and had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp for a while by the time we got it. Either new staff needs to be hired on or the staff you have needs better training.

This spot is incredible! A couple friends and I stopped by on a Sunday for some mimosas and they were incredible! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a little warm in the sun, so I definitely recommend going when the weather is cooler.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is adorable and the service was spectacular![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got mimosa flights and each one was delicious. Definitely recommend checking out their daily deals, they have some great ones! 9/10!!

When the weather is nice this is the perfect place to hang out. Very relaxed vibe and great cocktails. I had the Aqua de Valencia. Mediterranean tapas are delicious, too!

First time visiting this new rooftop bar to the Cary area. And the ambiance is very cool and trendy would be awesome for a date night or a spot to hangout after work. The only downside for me is there is not any type of overhead covering, luckily the DJ did have an awning over him. So if you're looking to try this on an NC summer day I would say wait until the sun go down or prepare to wait until a seat at the bar is free. I didn't try the food so that's why I gave it 3 stars. But the food was delivered covered to those that did.

Stopped by RBF recently for an afternoon drink and really enjoyed my experience!…read more First, we ended up finding street parking right next to RBF, but I think there may also be a dedicated parking lot outside the back patio? Not entirely sure since we still have no idea how to access it, but maybe look for that lot if street parking is challenging :) Anyway, RBF is located in the basement of a building, so we had to take an elevator down from the entrance we took. Inside, it's got chill vibes - it definitely feels like a wine bar :) We ended up sitting inside on a high top, but there were various couches and a good amount of outdoor seating available as well. It took a while for our server to come check in with us, but she was super friendly and helpful with the wine selections once she came over. I got a random glass of red wine (they do not serve beer, in case you were wondering!) while my wife tried out a couple of tasters and then picked out a white wine for herself. The wine was pretty tasty and it was definitely a generous portion. After sitting there for a while, we also decided to grab some bread with pesto on the side. It took a sec for it to come out, but it wasn't bad! Nothing extraordinary but I wasn't expecting anything super gourmet, so it was totally fine. Overall, we had a great experience here and I would definitely stop by again on a date night.

In fact, we had to sit at the bar because a few tables were reserved - I didn't know you could do this but good to know now for the future. I would recommend getting a reservation if you can for a Friday evening. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful time. The space is so gorgeous and leans into women's empowerment. We had a bottle of cava between us as well as the extra kneady board, which had bread plus 3 spreads. For our spreads we got goat cheese, garlic butter, and hummus. Um WOW, the goat cheese was SO GOOD. Like so good. You should visit simply to have warm bread and goat cheese for girl dinner. This is a great space to spend an afternoon or evening. We ended up leaving to explore other places in downtown Cary and wish we had just stayed at the bar. What a wonderful experience!

The food was pretty good. I started with the tortellini soup and had the French toast from the Brunch menu. For drinks, I tried the pineapple mimosa, but it was warm, which really affected the flavor. I also ordered an espresso martini, and unfortunately it had an artificial taste that I would not recommend, especially for the price. One issue we ran into was the number of flies around our table. Even though we were seated inside, there were several constantly circling, and one ended up landing in my water. Our waitress tried to help, but the problem continued. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the service, but I would come back for the food only and not for the drinks.

We started with a build-your-own charcuterie board featuring soppressata, prosciutto, Manchego, Pecorino, Cheddar, and Camembert. The meats and cheeses were all excellent, and the variety made it a perfect pairing for exploring Cru's extensive wine list. For my entrée, I had the Wagyu Picanha steak with papas bravas and the "jumbo" asparagus. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was wonderfully flavorful. The papas bravas were equally delicious. The asparagus, however, gave us a good laugh--it must have been on a diet because there was absolutely nothing "jumbo" about it! We also ordered the Barolo-braised short rib, which was incredibly tender, rich, and packed with flavor. It practically melted in your mouth. Dessert was the Tiramisu Cake, and it was outstanding. Rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, it was the ideal ending to a great meal. Between the fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere, and seemingly endless wine selection, Cru is a place we'll gladly return to. Just don't judge the asparagus by its menu description!

THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED…read more I had high hopes and those were quickly dashed when we entered. The music while not blaring, was definitely too loud for the type of establishment CRU is meant to be. The layout was not at all cozy, the chairs were hard and uncomfortable, the bathrooms were not tidy. We ordered a flight of white and a flight of red white. All were OK, nothing memorable. The food was a huge letdown. We ordered the fritto misto, everything save the 3 large shrimp was way, WAY overcooked. Whoever fried the food had to have seen it was over because all the breading had fallen off. They obviously didn't care as they tossed it in the bowl anyway. The charcuterie board was Food Lion quality, the cheese in particular (goat and Manchego) were bland and devoid of character. Our server was obviously in the wrong line of work. She never checked how our food was but instead spent her time chatting with another young (very disheveled) lady. When we asked the country of origin of the ONE prosecco that CRU offers, our server replied, "Dunno, it's European."

The North Hills spot ( 4421 Six Forks Road in Raleigh, beside Total Wine) feels settled in the best way. Comfortable, Welcoming, Cozy. We started slowly. A wine flight. Truffle fries with truffle aioli, parmesan, oregano. Marinated olives layered with citrus and herbs. Nothing too over the top, but generous and satisfying. The kinds of plates you keep reaching for without realizing it. For dinner, we had the the NY Strip (North Carolina pasture-raised Angus with Diane sauce and a French onion potato gratin). And the roasted whole fish (with hazelnut gremolata, citrus beurre blanc, and confit sunchoke). Both cooked to perfection, nothing missing, and absolutely delicious. The business was clean and there is also a bar inside. The restaurant has a large selection of wines and offers flights for purchase. The restaurant had some people dining in but they were not overly packed. Initially our server was pleasant and attentive. I got a blood orange sparkling water. It was ok. I ordered the whipped ricotta for an appetizer to share and a burger with fries for my entree. The whipped ricotta was ok. It would taste better with some sort of seasoning in it. My fries were served hot but needed some salt. I asked for my burger to be cooked well done but I was brought a burnt burger. I took one bite but it was too overcooked. I then requested that my server have my burger be cooked medium well so I didn't get another burnt burger. When my burger was brought back out, our server had me cut into my burger to make sure it was to my liking. The preparation was better but it was bland and tasted like there wasn't any seasoning on it. After this our server wasn't as attentive anymore. For dessert we got the donuts. They were served warm and I enjoyed them with the cherry sauce. I did not like the chocolate sauce that was served with the donuts.
