In fact, we had to sit at the bar because a few tables were reserved - I didn't know you could do this but good to know now for the future. I would recommend getting a reservation if you can for a Friday evening. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful time. The space is so gorgeous and leans into women's empowerment. We had a bottle of cava between us as well as the extra kneady board, which had bread plus 3 spreads. For our spreads we got goat cheese, garlic butter, and hummus. Um WOW, the goat cheese was SO GOOD. Like so good. You should visit simply to have warm bread and goat cheese for girl dinner. This is a great space to spend an afternoon or evening. We ended up leaving to explore other places in downtown Cary and wish we had just stayed at the bar. What a wonderful experience!

They do not have a bottle of champagne on the menu that you can order so the bartender just charged us 3 glasses of champagne so roughly $33, which is about what I would expect for a bottle of champagne. The champagne was okay. I think this space focuses more on liquor drinks. The inside of the bar is nice and moody, and we went downstairs to the outdoor seating area, which had a lot of space. Overall, a nice spot to spend a summer evening.

Tucked above downtown Cary, this cocktail club delivers specialty drinks that are both creative and dangerously easy to keep ordering. The vibe is relaxed without trying too hard, making it equally perfect for catching up with friends. The real standout for me though? The massive outdoor patio. Spacious, laid-back, and ideal for lingering over cocktails way longer than originally planned. Cary keeps getting cooler, and this place is a big reason why.

Their roast beef panini is on par with Portillo's a long standing Chicago beef restaurant (IYKYK). I've NEVER had a beef sandwich that was better than Portillo's but Postino you managed to take a hometown classic and elevate it to a point beyond my expectations - if you get this sandwich I recommend getting it on the ciabatta bread versus focaccia. Let's not overlook the tomato soup - it's so rich and flavorful. For a lighter lunch my go to is the tuna panini with broccoli salad. They are known for their boards, I've not had the bruschetta yet but it looks delicious. My favorite board is the hummus. One thing I hate is when a restaurant gives you a big bowl of hummus and not enough pita. That is not the case here, you'll get pita, toasted bread, and a variety of vegetables to scoop up the velvety humus covered in cherry tomatoes, red onion and feta. For date night enjoy a Violet Femme a gin cocktail that tastes as lovely as it looks. The service here is top notch! Everyone is fantastic. I'll have to come back to this review to note the serves names we've had because they have all been exceptional. Now let's talk about the vibe! Postino's nailed the indoor/outdoor feel. Plenty of windows that are open on nice days, plants galore and the decor gives you a cool like rockstar but classy feel. 5 stars doesn't feel like enough.

We started with a build-your-own charcuterie board featuring soppressata, prosciutto, Manchego, Pecorino, Cheddar, and Camembert. The meats and cheeses were all excellent, and the variety made it a perfect pairing for exploring Cru's extensive wine list. For my entrée, I had the Wagyu Picanha steak with papas bravas and the "jumbo" asparagus. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and was wonderfully flavorful. The papas bravas were equally delicious. The asparagus, however, gave us a good laugh--it must have been on a diet because there was absolutely nothing "jumbo" about it! We also ordered the Barolo-braised short rib, which was incredibly tender, rich, and packed with flavor. It practically melted in your mouth. Dessert was the Tiramisu Cake, and it was outstanding. Rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, it was the ideal ending to a great meal. Between the fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere, and seemingly endless wine selection, Cru is a place we'll gladly return to. Just don't judge the asparagus by its menu description!

The music while not blaring, was definitely too loud for the type of establishment CRU is meant to be. The layout was not at all cozy, the chairs were hard and uncomfortable, the bathrooms were not tidy. We ordered a flight of white and a flight of red white. All were OK, nothing memorable. The food was a huge letdown. We ordered the fritto misto, everything save the 3 large shrimp was way, WAY overcooked. Whoever fried the food had to have seen it was over because all the breading had fallen off. They obviously didn't care as they tossed it in the bowl anyway. The charcuterie board was Food Lion quality, the cheese in particular (goat and Manchego) were bland and devoid of character. Our server was obviously in the wrong line of work. She never checked how our food was but instead spent her time chatting with another young (very disheveled) lady. When we asked the country of origin of the ONE prosecco that CRU offers, our server replied, "Dunno, it's European."
