One of the best nail salons in this area! I've lived in the DMV area for close to 5 years and it has been hard to find a good nail salon that offers competitive prices. I'm from California where beauty services are so much better and prices are great. I have sensitive skin around my nails and so don't like to go to get nails done since in the past, I've bled and technicians are not skilled. Now I like getting my nails done and only come here! The prices are really great here and for the price, the work is top notch. Also they are also really nice people! read more

I came straight from another nail salon very unhappy because I got up and left after waiting an entire hour to find out there was still someone else ahead of me. I called this salon as soon as I walked out to see if they could see me immediately. I only had to wait 10 minutes to be seen for a spa pedicure. The young lady who attended me was kind and did a very good job on my feet. Definitely a well satisfied customer! read more

As a first time customer, I can say that this place is my new nail shop! The place is new and very clean! The employees were very friendly and welcoming to me. They offered to stay open a little later because it was busy but they wanted to make sure they could fit me in. I got a basic pedicure and SNS mani for $60! I believe they are offering 10%off because it is a new salon. My nails are amazing and were carefully done. I will definitely be back! read more

AV Nail salon has the best technicians in the Silver Spring Wheaton area led by Kim, formerly of the Fantasy Nail shop at 16th & Georgia Ave. I highly recommend AV Nails and Kim who I have been a client of for over 10 years. She leads a team that is experienced in a variety of nail services and art, are kind and friendly. The prices are very competitive. You won't get a better manicure, fill or pedicure anywhere. If you're a few miles away it's definitely worth the trip a few miles over to Wheaton. Outstanding Nail Salon and technicians. read more

The employees are nice and the place is clean and pretty cheap. Now to the bad part my nails were honestly the ugliest nails I've ever had.The design I picked was completely off. My cuticles were not nice and clean like they usually are. I guess because it was Sunday before Memorial Day, the job was rushed. I got my nails done on Sunday today is Wednesday and they are already chipped (this is a gel manicure that usually lasts 2 weeks). I am very disappointed. If you are in a pinch and can just want a solid color this will do but don't expect anything that great. read more

This was a really good experience! The regular pedicure is $23 and spa was $35. My husband and I got the spa pedicure, and it felt great. The massage chairs are really nice. The technician was very detailed in each part of the pedicure, which doesn't always happen. Will definitely be going back. read more

They're always very kind whenever I go. I like how welcome I feel. Everyone is very friendly and they try accommodating my sister and I so we can be near each other when getting our nails done. The place is clean as well which is a plus! read more

I love this nail salon, I've never felt more appreciated at a nail salon! I'm not from the area but I needed a quick full set for plans the next day. They were closing in an hour but were still nice enough to take me. The woman doing my set asked each time she filed my nails if I liked them and throughout the entire process (when she cut them, after using the nail drill, when polishing, and even after glueing the nails on). She made me feel like my input on how I wanted my nails to look was very important to her and she'd make sure I got them the way I wanted. They're quick and efficient here, definitely coming back for a fill! read more

The reason why I give them 3 stars is because after they say hello the nail tech does not even say ten words to you afterwards. However, they talk the entire time to the other nail tech from their country in their LANGUAGE. It is very disrespectful and not good customer service as well as unprofessional. They all know how to speak english because when it is time for them to receive the money they are able to tell you how much it cost. Customers should always feel like they are comfortable in any place they go. read more

The team at AV were terrific. I had my nails cleaned up and dipped in color and it looks great. The person who helped me was very attentive and took her time so that my nails/cuticles looked really clean and perfectly done. Thank you! read more

The products and techniques used aren't quality. A few of the staff are very sweet though.

Amazing attention to detail; I absolutely love the gel manicure and regular pedicure I received. It was a clean, safe and kind experience. Tracy made beautiful designs on my big toe and is a real gem. She has such attention to detail;, this was the best I've had. This is my new go to place! read more

first time visitor. It's clean and walking distance for me so I like it. The nail tech took her time. The staff is very friendly and there was no wait. good alternative to lalu'a if you just want a basic gel mani and pedi. you'll be in out versus waiting forever and getting a rushed job. read more

This is the second time I come here and both times I have had good experiences. I didn't catch the technicians name that did my gel pedicure but she was thorough and did good job. They lack nail technicians so the wait for someone to do my full set acrylic was about 15-20 minutes, eventually Andy did my nails I showed him a picture of coffin shaped ombré nails that I wanted. He took his time and I am in love with my nails. read more

Normally love getting waxes here, but only because the lady who normally does my brows never double dips. Today I went in (sweaty from the walk over) and got my eyebrows waxed by someone else. She did an amazing job, but I noticed she dipped the same stick in FOUR times. Not to mention the stick already had wax on it when I came in. Not only is my sweat in the pot of wax ,but who knows who else's bodily fluids are in there. Absolutely disgusting. I already know I'm gonna break out real badly after this... read more

Yes, yes, yes!!! This is a brand new salon, I love it! I have went a couple of times, and the atmosphere is nice. I have only went to Andy (he only works on fri & sat), who has done a bomb job every time. I recommend him. They also have 10% percent off since they are new. It is not a crowded salon which is amazing. read more

I went for the first time this week and I was impressed. I received a gel manicure and a regular pedicure for $48. I think that's a very reasonable price. The place was clean and well decorated. They gave me a cold beverage upon arrival. Now, let's just hope the gel nails grow out well. read more

I got a pedicure and the lady cut my toe open and I got an infection that turned red and yellow and lasted for weeks! they clearly don't clean the tools well enough. my polish chipped and got divots in it that same day I got my nails done and it looked awful. they didn't even paint the entirety of my sister's nails, she complained, and they "fixed" it by poking the polish it so it would spread out. the only good part about this place is the massage chairs and the kind workers. don't understand why everyone else gives it good reviews. read more

The staff was nice, but do NOT get dip powder done here. My dip powder set was not done well at all. Again, great staff and customer service. I saw them do a great job with regular polish, gel, and acrylic on other customers. Dip powder is a newer technique, so I understand why some aren't able to do it properly. My pedicure was nice though! Give them a chance, just skip the dip. read more

Great nail salon! Went to another place that had a 3 hour wait. I went here and 5 minute wait! And they were so nice when i walked in unlike the other place where they barely looked at me as I walked in just told me to grab a polish and wait. This was my first time here. It's a brand new salon and has only been open for a little over a month. The prices are very affordable and even more now with their 10% discount on all services due to their grand opening. My technician was named Chuong and he did a great job. He did both my pedicure and gel manicure. The massage chairs were nice as they are brand new and massage all around including your actual seat. I would recommend giving this place a try. I did not give it a 5 as the massage chairs were very far apart from each other. Therefore, I couldn't speak to my friend the entire time unless I chose to be very loud. Nonetheless, I know I will be coming back. read more

Just coming here for the first time today, both my daughter and I. I have no complaints! I don't know either nail techs name but it looked as though everyone there was doing a great job. They all were nice, the tools were clean and they took their time. Both of our nails turned out really good. No polish on my skin and my feet are soft. Prices are reasonable and they don't push service on you. I would definitely go back again. I change my mind. I had an appointment at 6 but I've been sitting here since 5. A person walk in and is seen immediately!! I walked out! Never again! And I tip well, I guarantee she won't tip. It's a guy that work he that's very apologetic but I'm just too mad right now. Just called Star nails on Randolph Rd and thank goodness she's back from vacation. They honor appointments and it's first come, first serve. I've tried 6 or 7 nail salons in the area over the years, and this is by far the best. Great service, nice people, staff get along with each other, fresh nail polish, nice results.
