I have visited this shop twice. The first time was an underwhelming experience. I felt like the guy that performed my pedicure was going really fast. I kept thinking to myself "is there a race I don't know about?" They have time estimates depending on which pedicure. I had a French tip and whichever pedicure that was estimated as ~40 minutes. Trust me, it wasn't 42 or 43 minutes. It was probably 38 and some seconds. My second time was much better. I had a different person this time but the guy was a couple chairs down. He wasn't moving as fast as a couple weeks prior. Maybe he got the memo, I don't know. For the prices and the quality, this is the place to go. The staff is nice as well. They take appointments and walk ins. I'd suggest bringing cash to tip because they can't add it on. read more

So so terrible. Run! My nails were not even, the French tip was bulky, and when I asked for her to fix it (kindly) she started muttering to herself that "you people always never like nails". I have a video of the altercation of her telling me "I can't talk and be quiet." This altercation started When asking her to take off one nail that was crooked before she started painting. The reviews show mostly black women ( & one white women) complaining about mediocre work and bad attitudes from staff, I should've listened lol! The old lady in the front is the one that serviced me, and she was nice in the beginning I admit. I paid 40 dollars for nails with no polish and had to go home and reshape everything myself. I needed a pedicure to make my feet feel alive this Spring. I was taken in right away & was able to get a pedicure quickly. I did schedule it the night before online, but it seems they take walk ins and have enough people to help out with any type of treatment. I had the Lemon Spa package and it was so relaxing & delightful, I highly recommend it for anyone needing a little brightening from their knees down. This may have been the worse pedicure I ever had! My skin was filed with the drill when my old polish was being removed which caused a cut on 3 of my toes! So it burned! There was a mouse running around which no one seemed to care about. The clear gel was just thrown on my feet all over the place before the color. The color I got was not even the color I picked. This is your average walk in salon. Nail techs are friendly, lots of colors selections, and very decent prices! Not the cleanest and not the worst, just a decent spot, no bells and whistles. They get the job done! The shop is a bit run down, but they are always busy, and will always take walk ins! read more

I absolutely LOVE coming here! I've been going here for many years now. Everyone is absolutely nice and down to earth. My technician is Dee Dee and she is so down to earth and know what she is doing! But I know for fact of what I've seen a lot of the technicians ones I know (Lynn (owner), Hanah, Nina, Nga, Aline, Le, Hellen, MiMi, Sara, Ken, Alex, Judy and GiGi) know what they are doing and listens to the clients. Some are quiet so you can relax... but if you want to have communication just talk to them. I get the spa pedicure... which that is worth the extra money. You get a longer massage and full relaxation with different scents that you can pick out from the beginning. Personally I always get designs on my toes. Dee Dee always listens to what I would like and sometimes I challenge her with designs but she does a great job and I always get others checking it out (hee hee). For my nails I do the dipping method... I always do something different (she knows I like to sparkle). I'm a UPS driver so I need something strong and durable on my nails. Whether I do ombre, designs or something else she knows how to do it... and I can tell you I get complements on my nails all the time! They always keep the place clean. The pedicure chairs will need some tlc soon. Yes some things can be a little pricey but our economy sucks (hopefully will change).. this is a business and they are doing what they can to keep up with everything to make our experience better. read more

I've been going to this location for almost 10+ years! So glad they survived the COVID shutdowns as well! The staff had every precautionary measure in place to keep patrons safe and secure. When businesses began to open up more,Fantasy Nails adjusted to further accommodate patrons. My appointments are consistently made and kept. I am always satisfied with my nails, the options of nail colors, and the overall care that I receive when getting manicures/pedicures as well as their prices. I won't go anywhere else. I'm a loyal customer and take care of my nails and skin in between visits and know exactly what I want before I go so it is clear to who's doing my nails. Lynn is very professional as are most of the nail technicians, who aim to do the best job they can do. I've been to other nail salons where the service, prices and cleanliness of the salon wasn't the greatest. I've also purchased several gift cards as gifts for friends/family and they have become regular clients too! read more

My lovely, little neighborhood mail salon is wonderful. I know everyone, and the nail techs know my name. Everyone is cordial and accommodating. I speak up about my nail health and preferences and I've never been disappointed. Appointments can be made, walk ins are generally accepted unless of course, it's near a holiday or most summer weekends. Best bet is to make an appointment. Would give 0 if possible. Went in for a dip manicure. The nail tech did minimum to prepare (not cutting/filing/shaping). Went I noticed that she was going to apply the dip I asked to cut/file and shape, she said she would do it at the end. Well the end comes and all she did was filing. I told her multiple times that my nails were shaped different. At one point I stopped her to look at both hands at the same time. She was dismissive and rushed. All she did was file the nails. I should have known then she couldnt.. she proceeded to do a design AND IT WAS TERRIBLE! I asked her to take it off and she got an attitude and began to argue with me! My nails look like shit right now polish is to think and all over my nails...and because I didn't wanna cause a scene I had her take the crappy design off and she insisted to paint my the solid color... even when I asked her of there was someone else that can do designs...she told me no one else there can do them...really lady. Well don't waste your money and time on anything above basic manicure and pedicure. The technician provided no customer service , I spoke first from saying good morning, can I some water, just talk to me if you want my feet moved, etc. I simply just despise lack of attention to the customer. I can't believe I'm writing this review...but it's about that time and they truly disappointed me. After coming here faithfully for a couple years, I started to notice the dreaded infection that every woman who gets pedicures wants to avoid. On both of my feet. Just to be clear, I bring my own polish whenever I get a pedicure. This was the only place I would frequent, and as a result I have to spend $$ for fungus removal. It's disgusting. Manicure/Pedicure $30 is a great deal! For the regular pedicure they still do the salt scrub, oil, massage and hot towel. I never feel the need to do the spa pedicure because the regular pedicure is perfect for me! The nail techs are always polite and thorough with my cuticles and getting the right shape for my nails. I've never been offered a beverage so I'm not sure if they even offer them. Pro tip: I always get my manicure before my pedicure because by the time my pedicure is finished my manicure is completely dry and I'm ready to drive! read more

Initially had a not so great experience as you can see from the pics underneath. Bleeding pinky nail and a misshapen pointer finger. Nails were kind of thick but the design was nice. Today my pointer finger nail broke and I came in and they fixed it for free which I really appreciated. Really wonderful ladies in there. I wish I stuck to my gut feeling that this place was going to be what the negative reviews said. I've walked past this place so many times and decided to try it. I won't ever go again. My manicurist was mean and I didn't like how my nails looked after she was done. I came home and had to fix all the glue under my nails. Also, she never took care of my cuticles, didn't moisturize my hands, didn't give me the massage that was mentioned in other reviews, raised her voice at me twice and rolled her eyes. I stayed off my phone and tried to engage her a few times - oh, well. The salon has a ton of regulars, though. Maybe I was a dud! I am a regular at a salon near my job in DC and they spoil me there so I have very high expectations. Better prices, free beverages and friendly professionals. Good luck if you try it out! read more

I have been coming here on and off for years. I always do a gel manicure and it generally last for the expected two weeks. I love this place. I usually can be seated quickly and my techs are usually all great. It has been awhile since I've gone just because I was doing my own nails. But I went the other day and worked with Sophia. She was lovely and did a wonderful job. I did their deluxe pedi and it was great! This really is my nail salon of choice in this area. read more

My first time there - I would've expected better. She did a rush job with a gel mani. They were packed - waited for about 20 mins around 6pm and she clearly wanted to just power through me to get to the next. Did not cover the entire nail with polish. She also was very rough and cut deeply into my nail beds, almost making my cuticles bleed. It was uncomfortable. I've never experienced someone cutting so deeply into the side of the nail and been getting mani's for over 20 years. It was honestly bizarre - never seen or felt anything like it. Just went in for a much needed mani/pedi. Luna was fantastic! My toes hadn't seen a good pedicure since pre-covid and she made them look beautiful again. The shop is doing a great job of keeping customers safe. They have plastic barriers up at each station and make you hand sanitize and check your temperature when you come in. Masks are worn by both staff and customers. I felt totally safe the entire hour I was there. read more

Chi-chang-chang-chang is the sound of moneeeey! That money I'm speaking of is the money left in your pocket after scoring your $25 mani/pedi (Mon-Thursday.) It's also my obnoxious way of indicating blissful satisfaction with the service here. Both times I've given this Fantasy Nails location a chance, they've done me right. (And have made my eyes uncontrollably roll slightly to the back of my head during the lotion massage.) The nail technicians take their time to carefully clip, buff and polish your extremities and the environment is casual and yet professional. There are a nice selection of colors to choose from in both regular and gel, with plenty of Essie and OPI. I always leave feeling relaxed, satisfied and perfectly polished. Plus, the color on my nails seem to really last. My manicure usually lasts at least 4 days chip-free and the color on my feet lasts week into two weeks before my next trip. My "home" salon may be in trouble, because Fantasy (Woodmoor) is about to go from my mistress to my main! read more

When I think my nails are cute and done, she manages to sneak in some designs that leave me flabbergasted and she now has full control over my nails lol. Who knew that a $25 mani-pedi still existed in the DC area! Boom, here it is, and you don't even have to contract hepatitis or a funky toe fungus. They're clean, and they're organized, and, I've found, give accurate time estimates, so once you sign in at the front desk, you can go next door and grab a coffee or something. I've never had a long wait, though, because they have tons of stations and enough staff to cover the summer rush. The pedi chairs are super comfortable, with an attached tray that, I can assure you, can fit the full-size steak and cheese sub from Santucci's next door, a danish from the pastry shop a couple doors down, and and strawberry frap from Starbucks in the cup holder. And yeah, now I'm just bragging. I've had different technicians each time. They've all done a good job, and many have gone beyond what a standard mani-pedi calls for, which is always nice. They do brows and stuff, too, in the back corner. The $25 is an awesome deal, and the extra 5 pounds I put on as I actually make it a Fantasy is also well worth it. Yesterday, I called to make an appointment for 7 pm with Lynn. I was told that was no problem, but if I could arrive at 6:45 pm that would be better. I arrived at 6:45 pm as requested. I'll admit I was enticed by the Monday - Wednesday deal of $25 for a regular mani/pedi. When I walked into the nail shop, no one asked me if I needed help. I signed my name in their log and walked over to the nail colors (a decent, but not extensive selection), picked one, and sat down. Fifteen minutes later, I still hadn't been asked if I needed help. I went up to the first nail tech I saw and let her know that I had made an appointment with Lynn at 7 pm and that I wanted to find her. She let me know that she was Lynn, but that she was already working on two customers ( I assume they were walk-ins). Had someone asked me if I needed help 15 minutes prior, she would have known that her 7 pm appointment was already there waiting for her! Needless to say, she asked me if another tech could service me. Clearly, I didn't have a choice. Kim did my pedi and my gel mani. She was nice, and she did a decent job, which I appreciated (and the reason why this review is two stars and not one star). However, when I showed her the photos of the different designs I wanted for my mani, she said that my nails weren't long enough for one of the designs (which made complete sense, so I agreed), but she didn't try any of the other designs (which were VERY simple). This was my first time getting shellac on my nails, so I wanted it to look cute and that just didn't happen. In the end, I paid $55 ( I was quoted $45 for a gel mani/ regular pedi when I called to make my appointment). Also, note that they only accept tips in cash. I paid my bill and said thank you and went on my way. I'm disappointed more than anything. I know people who frequent this nail shop and have always said good things. My experience, however, was very different. I will not be back. read more

Prices aren't posted anywhere, the owner/boss sits at the front, so if she's doing your nails, she's also checking in everyone that comes through the door or answers the phone. Horrible and expensive. I went in for the SNS nails. I had to be soaked and I decided I wasn't going to do It again because my nails were getting weak. The tech urged me to get it , stating I would be fine amongst other comments . I agreed. It took foreverrrrrrrrr, so at the end I was just ready to go home. Next day my nails starting breaking, the color wasn't even throughout, the shape was off. I asked for coffin. I had square on some fingers Coffin on others. I even asked if she could fix it and she just made it worse ...It was just bad . I forget the lady's name but I was not impressed. Won't be back. read more

I went with a friend to get pedicures in the afternoon on a weekday. They did an OK job. The facilities are clean and I was serviced fairly quickly. I only went here because the location was convenient and close to my home. I would have given them four stars but I received terrible service. Unfortunately, I had to listen to the technicians talk crap about me in Vietnamese. When I went quiet, they even said "Maybe she understands us. She just went quiet..." and then giggled. I didn't say anything and just ignored it. However, before I was even finished, the technician asked me "Can you pay me now?" Turns out she was rushing me because she needed to send a few texts on her phone. After my nails were dry, the other technician who was talking crap asked me if I was Vietnamese. The lady then had the nerve to ask me a question in Vietnamese to see if I understood her. When I answered her in English, the resulting look on her face was one of pure shock. If you're just looking for "fast food" style nail service, then this place would be your go-to. However, I wouldn't recommend going here if you're looking for a thorough job done in a professional manner. read more
