Didn't check for any actual issues just upsold me on parts because I don't know about cars. Took my car to 3 other shops who all confirmed it was fine and didn't need a new part. Sold me a battery that was on the shelf for 6 months and didn't charge it. Just terrible costumer service and does not care about you just making money. read more

I really needed a rear wiper for my Hyundia Elantra Touring and finding the small rear window wiper is always hard to find even at the Hyundia dealerships. Cody did try his best and when I went in the other day it was a zoo but I felt he did his best to put out as many customer issues as fast as he could and displayed a real earnest attempt to squelch complaints. I purchased the full set of wipers but only one was the right one. I quickly received a refund and got the other remaining 2 wipers. Sadly, again while the other 2 wipers were the correct size they wouldn't work with my car. I returned again tonight and Anthony and Alex made sure the last remaining wipers worked and Anthony installed them for me. IMHO I was happy with the efforts of Anthony, Alex and Cody as I have experienced issues finding just the right wipers in the past at different locations so I know sometimes the books on the correct wiper replacements are wrong. Please remember folks that we're talking about parts for a 13 year old car and these guys are trying their best. These guys deserve more respect so please don't be a KAREN and leave nasty comments and reviews. Don't sweat the small stuff and if you see people trying to do their best, put yourself in their shoes. Stuff happens in this imperfect world so please be kind, be patient and don't over-react on every petty detail. read more

Surprisingly helpful and polite staff. The assistant manager knew his stuff and was able to point us in the right direction for our needs. Yes, you're grumpy, something is up with your ride and you need help but don't take it out on the staff that works here; they're trying to help with the available tools they have at hand. I bought a battery and ordered a rear wiper for my car. Battery no problem. The rear wiper I never got an email stating it was in as I was told would happen. I call and he tells me it's in. I go pick up the wiper. I park at home and decide even though it's raining I'll go ahead and change it, what the heck I won't melt. Well, they've ordered totally the wrong wiper blade. Wrong size, totally wrong type. I call them and he says I'll take care of you right away. I wait a few minutes for him to come back in the phone, no problem. Then he tells me he ordered the part his computer says but unfortunately it told him the wrong part and they don't sell the correct one. Come on back in and return it for a refund. No problem. I google the part. Guess what store came up first for the part I need? Picture and all is correct. Auto Zone in the Bronx. I'm just going to return the part and get it myself. I can't believe he did that to me. It's not hard to give good customer service. There are so many auto part stores around. I'll never go there again. read more

The employees need to know more about what they're selling. Never take their word when they search items. We asked for new windshield blades for my car and the kid automatically gives us the more expensive brand instead of telling us exactly what they have in store. The lady at the counter was very helpful with replacing my wife's windshield wipers. The guy she asked to put them on was rude. I think his name was Lucas, he had a bald spot. He asked me, "You don't know how to put these on?" I said no, I studied computer science. He put them on very flippantly and walked off. My suggestion: Don't advertise something you are not willing to do graciously. read more

AutoZone workers rob me for my old battery I came into you guys with my old battery and I purchased a new battery I took my old battery and never gave me money for it and never even told me about it until I came in to buy another battery and one of your other workers told me that I should've got money back for that battery which I never did never got nothing so now I'll call AutoZone about it the supervisor never wanted to get on the phone with me it is very nasty people that work is very very nasty and I didn't get no help they saying it's just nothing we could do about it by hung up the phone on me and I don't appreciate getting robbed for my money and by law yeah supposed to tell people about the $22 or $25 yeah supposed to give for y'all taking peoples old batteries so yeah I took my old batteryYeah I took my old battery and I I didn't receive a thing for it it's like I got robbed right in my face so now I'm calling to resolve it and nobody can help me and I see this is highway robbery so I advise anybody going to AutoZone make sure you ask questions because they like scamming people there so be careful CANT BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED TO ME SMH OVER $25 wow AutoZone must be losing money read more

Do yourself a favor and go to the Advance Auto Parts down the street. The manager of the store, Jose, was at the cashier and told me I had to wait for him to attend to the people that were behind me in line because I was requesting a free service. I wanted my battery tested which is free but it would have lead to a sale if a battery with better customer service. read more

AWFUL experience, ordered online and when I came they didn't have it ready. They passed my confirmation from one to another until somebody went to find my already paid items. They are rude people, brought the items to my car and took stuff out from my trunk to make space meanwhile they called police and claimed I was trespassing private property. WTF?! I was apprehensive...not knowing what to expect......? I was in a real bind and I needed a battery. It was the second time within a month that I got stuck and needed AAA's assistance. (AAA's service said my battery was good, but I knew it was 4 years old and when I got stuck the second time, a women alone in a cemetery at dusk, I decided not to fool around.) I needed a battery fast, on a Sunday morning, and a funeral service that day, I called a few places, all seem like to be all day project, I needed help fast.....I finally called Autozone and spoke to Pedro. He checked his stock, they had it, installed it that morning within 10 minutes. I would have never got through the funeral the next day, lights on, stop & go....... he really saved my day. I will never go back to this Autozome store 5288 -286 S Broadway, Yonkers! Lack of respect and horrible customer service. They lost a loyal customer today. Yesterday I bought a pair of rotors for a Honda CRV. When I got home I opened the box and saw they were used. Someone else must have switched and returned them. I immediately rushed back to store. After some doubt, on their end, and discussion they finally gave me a refund and I ordered new ones. I went back today to pickup new ones and the stupid young cashier, don't know his name, he is the youngest employee there, said I returned the used ones. Basically he accused me of stealing rotors. My rewards account has two CRVs on it. Not that it is any of his business but they are not the same year or generation of CRV. Idiot said I returned used ones to have new rotors for both CRVs. I said no I did not do that and walked out. I am an honest person no need to steal autozone rotors. I should have asked for a manager and put in a formal complaint. They should fire this employee for lack of respect- maybe only then I would return to this store! Stay away from this disrespectful and unprofessional store. They are selling used items as new and have the nerve to accuse the loyal customers who are spending money. They should open the boxes before selling to customers. Lesson learned i will never trust a store. I will open box first. In regards to the South Broadway AutoZone 5288, stay away!!! Go elsewhere. i was in area after dropping a friend at the empire casino and remembered that my sister needed anti freeze and new wiper blades. this auto zone on yonkers ave in yonkers has been around a bunch of years and seem to be busy as from the crowd inside . the place is a good size with plenty of stuff for your car . the antifreeze which i was able to get on my own and notice how expensive antifreeze is, damn i last time i get some it was almost less then half. the wiper blades, i needed some help cause i am too lazy to look in the guide book so i ask the worker behind the counter and he was able to find me the correct pair. the prices are a little more then pep boys or online but sometimes time saved is money not saved and thats ok. overall a typical auto zone with all the stuff you need or dont need for your car. p s. parking lot has more cars then customers . read more

This auto zone need new staff!! Every time you go in they are super busy besides that they never have 5W-30 Motor Oil in stock. And they don't have a line order. There is always people skipping other people and cashier are too scared to tell them that you are not next. read more
