Justin, the owner, is incredibly nice and informative. He got my car right in and out and gave me some great advice about maintaining my car. Bad experience. Came in for an inspection and was told my car didn't pass because it needed new brakes. Got handed a bill as if the brake job was a done deal. I paid for the inspection only and took the car to the dealer. There it passed the inspection, and I was told that the brakes would be fine for at least another year. I know, I just look like a gullible old lady. read more

The guy who answers the phone (sounds like a middle aged white man) asked me over and over who I am when I was asking an estimation of how much I should bring for an inspection (3,000lbs VW Jetta 2014). When I said my name and told him that I just wanted an estimate, he proceeded to call me rude. That's when I had enough. I called him back "I'm a customer trying to give you my money you call me rude do you talk to your mother like that". I guess his mom is dead or something because he went OFF after that saying I'm not from this town because of my accent and overall just being a misogynist POS telling me he will call the police if I call again. Guess what? I called again F that misogynistic POS if you have a mother, daughter, or female friend do not give this man your business. I live in Ardsley he does not how is he going to tell me I do not belong here. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Just called to get a quote. I had the repair list from the local VW Dealer repair shop. They said they charge a couple bucks lees in labor than the dealership and to just have it done at the dealer. The guy I spoke to seems pissed that I was calling for a second quote and that I had not brought it to them first. Must be nice to not need the business. read more

These guys are the best. I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S. I love my car, but it was having problems. I took it to the dealership and they told me that for $4,000, they'd "do what they can" but that it was probably a lost cause. Now, Mini's are great cars, but they need to be serviced by people who know what they're doing. After my bad experience at the dealership, I didn't know what I was going to do. Then we found Ardsley motors and Justin. Justin's great. Justin drives a Mini- and he loves them. These guys are at the "top of the food chain" in the automotive industry. They came recommended by my auto body shop guys in Manhattan. I was told they specialize in automotive computers and automotive technology (the stuff that runs and controls our modern day cars) and that their wholesale division caters to their shop and many other body shops after car accidents. I decided to give them a try for routine service on my late model BMW and have them look at a annoying engine management light that the dealer gave up on. I was able to make an appointment in advance and arrange with them to take me to the local train station. Within two days Ardsley Motors was able to take care of all my needs the first time around in a very courteous and professional manner. I bought a used 2000 Jag XK8 from a dealer in Waterbury CT which turned out to be a real dog even before I got it home to New Rochelle via the Merritt Pkwy warning lights were coming on. My head was telling me don't buy it but my heart suckered me in. Luckily I opted to have it towed to this place and could not be happier with the outcome & service. They have had the Jag in the shop at least 3 times in the last 4 months re-doing shoddy work from another mechanic that the previous owner had service it, rebuilding & rehabilitating. Ardsley Motors came highly recommended from a few of my neighbors in my hometown of Scarsdale after asking them who they use to service and maintain their vehicles. I was always under the impression that I had to bring back my vehicles back to the dealership to get the "dealer mandatory services" otherwise it will not get done the proper way and affect the manufacturers warranty. After explaining my fears to my neighbor a business lawyer and a customer of Ardsley Motors, he explained to me that the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for companies to void your warranty or deny coverage under the warranty simply because you took your vehicle an independent repair shop. After hearing this I decided to give Ardsley Motors a call. I was greeted by a professional and well-mannered gentleman who told me "you have to make an appointment for service, we are a high volume shop, and that to make it more convenient for you to drop your car off we offer our customers a company shuttle ride to your home or to one of the local train stations". This sounded great especially given my hectic work schedule. I arrived at Ardsley Motors to drop my vehicle off and was surprised to see how meticulously clean the facility was given the amount of cars that were there for servicing. A very nice man named Mark took me to the station to catch the train to work. Was called later in the morning to be told that my car needed more work than I expected, and was explained in great detail what work needed to be done and that when the car was completed they could pick me back up at the train station, I gave the approval to have the work competed. I picked up my vehicle at the end of the work day and was welcomed with a fixed cleaned car. The whole experience from beginning to end was very personal, professional and like nothing I have ever gotten before at the dealership. This shop definitely offers a high level of service and is very fair in the prices they charge. You don't get what you don't pay for. I will bring all my vehicles to Ardsley Motors from now on.
