I recently brought in my dirt bike wheels along with brand new tires and tubes I had purchased elsewhere. I was told it would take around three days due to them being backed up and short-staffed, which I understood and was fine with. On the third day, I called to check in, only to be told that they hadn't even looked at my tires. The person on the phone was dismissive and arrogant, telling me they were very busy with other customers and that tires "aren't their priority." Not exactly what you want to hear after waiting patiently. I went down to the store to pick up my tires, and was told they were currently being worked on. I waited another 30-40 minutes, only to be told that their tire machine had broken--after another customer's set had gone through. At that point, I just took my tires and left. While the store may be decent for gear and general motorcycle accessories, the service department is poorly managed. Lack of communication, professionalism, and basic customer respect made this a frustrating experience. If you're looking to get tire work done in a timely and reliable way, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. read more

I would not recommend this establishment as employees believe they have the authority to demonstrate something by placing their hands on an underage person, any person for that matter. An associate, bigger person with glasses punched a child in the mouth portion of the helmet to demonstrate something that made the associate particularly giddy about his ridiculous example. Management did not seem to give it a second thought which explains exactly why associates are unprofessional, they're lead by a poor example. read more

Wow I had never been to cycle gear before but I'm so glad I found this place today especially since they're open on Sundays! I needed motul oil for my Ducati and I walk in to these super kind super helpful staff. Sarah and Kostas were able to help myself and my friend pick up a few necessities for our bikes and honestly they were just awesome. Not only did I fix my bike problsms, but I also left with a couple local ride recommendations! It's nice being a women rider and having a women who knows bikes help you since biking is so male dominated, but everyone on staff was helpful and knew their stuff. Thanks so much y'all! My experience with this Cycle Gear location is a mixed one make of it what you wish. The first time I went to this location no one seemed to care I was there. As a new rider I was looking for advice on what type of helmet would be best for me. Second time I went the salesman was very helpful and provided me with a ton of information. I found several helmets on their online store, and decided to have the helmets sent to this location for me to try on and make a final decision. I received a email notification letting me know that my items are ready and simply come on into the store, when I arrived the salesman had no idea where the helmets were. He said he's going to check the back but was stopped by another customer who asked him a question then the salesman no longer appeared to care I was waiting for him to check on the helmets for me. He completely went off and started helping other customers forgetting I was waiting on him. Nearly 10 minutes passed before I had enough and asked if he was ever going to get back to me. Needless to say the helmets were never set aside, he said he did have one of the helmets I wanted in stock so I decided I'd take that one. Well that's until he decided to go to the display wall and take the display model down to sell me!?!?! The helmet looked greasy and used from all the heads that have gone in and out of it, he didn't even offer to order the helmet for me to pick up at a later date. Needless to say I didn't purchase the greasy head bucket he was offering me and went elsewhere. I'm not sure how other people are treated at this location but my experience here was not a good one. Hopefully everyone else's experience with this location will be better. read more

My wife and I went into cycle gear tonight to pick up a few things for our first time. We were helped by Gen and she was very helpful and knowledgeable! We told her our budget and she helped us stick within it. She taught us a lot about the higher end gear and why it was better but we felt absolutely no pressure, we truly thought she was just trying to inform us. It is important when your are buying protective motorcycle gear that you have experienced and knowledgeable staff to direct people to purchase the proper gear. My husband and I stopped by to browse for new gear. The people who work there were extremely welcoming and most importantly, knew what they were talking about. Being new to motorcycle world, he explained how our jackets should fit and even went the extra mile to measure us for the appropriate helmet size. Obviously, they wanted to make a sale BUT did not pressure us into anything which I appreciated - I was not ready to purchase a helmet and two jackets ($$$). Good place to pick up gear but barely any aftermarket parts. Security parts is a joke. But helmets and gloved are great quality and price.

This place has a lot of great stuff, helmets, gloves, heated gear, all kinds of jackets. The price point is really low and most of the stuff is made in China, but this store is great for motorcycle beginners or people on a budget. You won't find big name stuff in here, No Shoei or Arai helmets for example. The big "but" here is that wearing safety padded jackets and full face helmets can save your life, and a lot of the stuff looks good. Quality is low to medium and they have lots of sales, so you be the judge, but having a store like this in Westchester is great! read more
