Extremely bad experience. I went into this store because online it verified they had the brake pads and rotors to fit my car. After waiting nearly 15 minutes for a clerk, I was assisted by a manager (I assume, because she was wearing a gray shirt instead of the usual red). I gave her the information, and was told they had the parts. After about 10 minutes, she came back and said they couldn't find the rotors, but had another option that was $10 more. I asked if they could provide these at the original price, saying I should not have to pay more just because they couldn't find them. She said I could go somewhere else if I wanted. I wanted to complete the job today, so I said I would take the substitutes. After another 5-10 minute search, she came back and said they only had one rotor. Without any apology or further explanation, she again told me I could go elsewhere. Her conversation was extremely rude and demonstrated total ambivalence to wanting my business. I have done business with AZ for years and have never been treated with such rudeness. I went to another auto parts store and purchased all of the items for $40 less. I don't expect much in the way of perfect customer service from Autozone, especially if you drive oddball machinery. So overall I am quite happy with the service here, and the new facility is right behind the old one and it's amazing. This location gets a legit 5 star review because they are open 24 hours a day! How many times have you been wrenching on an old hooptie late at night and needed a part? Odds are this location has the part (it's HUGE) and they are always open. Never in my life have I been so impressed by the way that the staff had treated me. My boyfriend and I had left home to your Houston. A 10 hour drive down my car was perfectly fine. Towards the end of the night on our way to the movies my car just would not start. I had to ask someone from the hotel I was staying at to come and help jump start it. We headed over to AutoZone which the fact this one is 24 hours blows my mind. So excited and happy the staff help me get a new battery in. They were so extremely nice and went OUT of their way to help someone who doesn't know Jack about batteries and cars. They helped in any way the could. Even down to trying to help me save as much money as I could with discounts and taking my old battery. I just can't express now nice it was to have the staff help me, they were inviting. I wouldn't be driving my car without my help. If I could I would rate more stars. The fact that these people saw me more than just a customer and saw me as someone in need. Hands down best customer service I have ever had. I'll remember this visit for a life time. I know I said thank you a million times, but really thank you. You saved our lives. The guy at the previous shop I'd been to said I needed a new battery, so I wanted to get a second opinion and pulled up at this place. The mechanic (wish I could remember his name) who attended to me was very accommodating and said I might just need to get the battery charged- which they would do for free. Said it would take about an hour. Okay. So I killed some time up and down the street for an hour. When I came back, he said my battery would not hold a charge and I may in fact need a new battery. He gave me a price range. I didnt want to wait anymore so I said thanks but I'll have my battery changed somewhere closer to my place. He was not pushy at all, and even gave me tips on how to clean the shell of my battery in the meantime. I was truly grateful for his help and for being so patient and accommodating that I bought him a snack and a drink from a nearby store for his trouble. It sucked that I wasted an hour for nothing, but I'm glad he was honest and thorough enough to investigate what was going on and rule out any other possible problems. Now I'm confident in knowing my battery really does need to be changed. read more

I was looking for the headlights of my car but I didn't know exactly which one I needed (because I don't know about cars) and he was asking me a lot of questions that I honestly didn't know what to answer and then he asked me so what are you going to get! And I told him "I don't know about cars that's why I come to you for help, can you help me or not" At the end he sold me the headlights but didn't even give them to me, he just put them on the counter with the receipt and left. read more

Horrible Customer service. Went in and asked for a battery to be taken out and changed. The woman told me to wait in my car and she would send the guy out. Only after 25 minutes of waiting in the car we called and she said the guy was late to work. We saw him drive up to work as we were waiting, probably 35 minutes of waiting at this point. The woman went out and talked to him and then talked to us. The guy takes forever to get out of his car and takes 30 minutes just to take out the battery. He goes back inside and after another 20 minutes of waiting we go inside and the woman helping us said we didn't need a battery and that she thought it was just to take a battery out. We had to tell her we did need a new battery. After another 20 minutes the guy finally comes out and replaced our battery. Not only that but he left his tools on our car, implying that he was planning on coming back out, but didn't until we went inside and told him we needed a new battery. Currently waiting in the parking lot after over an hour, hungry and displeased with this service. read more

My brother and I were driving from Laredo to North Carolina when the driver's side windshield wiper arm started to malfunction during a storm in rush hour traffic, making it impossible to drive. After the rain subsided I drove to this autozone where they were able to not only replace the bad blade but also to tighten the nut on the arm of the wiper mechanism where it had been too loose. I love the customer service here. They are always so helpful and will install basic things free of charge. Things are more expensive here than places like Walmart but I still choose autozone bc of the customer service. I once ran into a mailbox and my rear view mirror exploded. The arm was still in tact but I took my car to two different body shops who said bc of the sensors I needed to repair the entire arm not just the mirror and was quoted $600-$800. As a last ditch effort I went to autozone and asked if I could simply replace the mirror and they said they weren't certain but we could at least try and that they would refund me if it didn't work. I spent $20 on a mirror, the employee installed it for me and it worked like new! I ended up saving a fortune. Love this place. read more

My car was having trouble starting... So once we got it started, we drove to AutoZone. And a young guy came out to help us and took the battery out and told us exactly how long it would take for them to charge the battery so that they could do a test on it to see if the battery was truly dead. We walked home to get our other vehicle, and when we got back they were ahead of schedule, even though they were busy... And told us that indeed, my battery was dead and needed to be replaced. I walked into the auto zone and i got hit with this energy i've never get before... it was like positive, well anyways i was walking around trying to find some sick mods for my 2011 corolla, and this nice young gentleman by the name Alan J Lopez comes up to me and tells me. not to buy those mods for your vehicle, he explained to me why, for example he said it'll look like a "ricer" and when he explained that to me i put those items back in the shelf's where they belonged and i walked back into my car and drove off. then a few minutes later i notice i've been getting a lot of attention. especially by some females. so i step out the vehicle and all of a sudden i've had females all over me. I was amazed. i was in shock, because i have never gained this much attention. and so some time goes by i meet this amazing woman. and we start talking for a few minutes. and get to know each other. and after we left i had texted her saying if i she wanted to go on a date and she agreed, well some time flies by and we're on this date. after we watched some movies we went back to my car and had some fun in the parking lot. biggest regret if my life. now i have aids. l read more

First things first, I suggest do your research and know what part or item that you're looking for before calling or visiting the store. (and possibly shopping around) Normally, this store is pretty basic, most of the time they have what you're looking for but again, I suggest calling before hand. Recently, we stopped here to buy a starter for my Honda Civic, we called in advance to make sure that they had it in stock. The guy on the phone (Abel?-not 100% sure) was smug and acted like he knew exactly what were were needing, I told him I needed a starter for a 2003 Honda Civic automatic and he tried to offer me one for a manual transmission???? Yeah, I'm pretty sure lots of people may know more about cars that some of the employees but that's just me. It's pretty much your typical Autozone. They're never overly busy, and I can get in and out fast. The staff is friendly, although I nor my husband have never really needed their help for anything so can't vouch for the customer service all that much. I like the location because it's usually a hot day when we visit, and I'm with my husband who is doing something or other with the car, and I love that a Subway is next door where I can buy a large light lemonade to sip while I suffer the heat and watch my husband tinker over the latest car failure. (Don't worry, I always offer him a sip :p) read more

Just stopped by to get a new battery as mine has stopped turning the car on. Being a female and going to the auto parts store is always a craps shoot as to the service you get - but I was very pleasantly surprised! I have to give a shout out to Brian as he was the one who helped me. It was time for him to get off work but in order to help out his fellow workers as well as so I didn't have to wait until one of the other guys could install it - he happily went out in the Houston heat and uninstalled the old one and put in the new one. He was thoughtful enough to have me try and start the car before disconnecting the old one so my radio and other settings didn't reset. Not a huge deal in the long run but was just another example of his customer service. Was on my way in less 15 minutes from the time I first walked in the store. read more
