They seemed offended that I did not want to be receiving junk mail from them. This kind of jack-ass service isn't a surprise, since when we bought our gauge mount years back the guys were rude and unprofessional too. Its unfortunate they have no competition in the area for car parts because their heads are blown up so big, they've developed a "i'm-the-shit-and-you-need-me" attitude when it comes to doing business. Yuck. Jerk offs like these don't deserve business if they refuse to take care of their customers. Take my warning: they'll harass you with mail and refuse to help you years down the road. Moving? Don't worry, they'll find you, and refuse to find the source of the problem for you. They could give a damn less about their customers satisfaction. Small shop, poor location near Andrews AFB, and a shitty small show room. Most parts you'll need will most likely take time to order any how. And at that rate, I'd suggest you buying directly online from some other source that would take better care of you, and not harass you years down the road and hunt you down with your new address. And PS. No, it was not forwarded from the post office.

In the category of speed shops in the DC area, this place is about as good as it gets. They've…read morebeen in business for over 40 years, and have outlasted many other shops in the region - I think it's for three reasons. 1: location right off of the Beltway, 2: it's big enough that it has most of the muscle car parts that you will need, and 3: These guys know what they are talking about. Most of us buy parts off the internet, but if you get the wrong thing and have to send it back, that process can take two weeks total. These guys are there for returns, but more importantly, they'll make sure that you get the right carburetor springs in the first place. The cons: they can be expensive, but our carb was the same price there as on the internet, so price is hit or miss. There's always a racing DVD on the flat screens and there's a dragster simulator for entertainment. If you have to get an engine running and have one Saturday to do it, this is your best bet. More importantly, you'll usually leave with more HP than you came in with.

First I stopped by the AutoZone on Marlboro Pike (the gentleman who replaces batteries wasn't there yet) and the Advance Auto Parts on Silver Hill (they don't replace batteries right now). Advance Auto Parts in Marlow Heights came through in the clutch. Darius who helped was great. He gave me quotes for about 10 different batteries which I liked. Not having all those choices but knowing that I wasn't just given the 4 most expensive options and being forced to choose because I was desperate. The change itself was quick and easy. Darius stayed behind to make sure the car started and it did. I was more than pleased with my experience. 5 stars easy.

I was scrambling to see if I could limit the cost by seeing what I could do until I could afford a paint job. That is how bad the scrape looked. And it was OFF WHITE and HUGE ok? I go into the store and pic up what was recommended online to remove scrapes from your car. But Rain, one of the associates behind the register asked me if the scrape was a different color, and I said yes. Rain then informed me that what I was getting will not work, left the register and got me what I needed. It was cheaper and it worked. I buffed those damn spots out. I know I will have to get some body work done but shoot. Thanks to RAIN she saved me thousands of damn dollars on my car insurance! I've been back several times in recent months and this NAPA is back on the list of highly-acceptable options when buying parts. The folks behind the counter are polite, knowledgeable, and as fast as the customer in front of you will allow. Kudos to the current store manager for making this a place I want to go to again! It's still a NAPA, therefore most of what you want is behind the counter and this just isn't like the consumer-centric sort of autoparts store where you can browse the isles for bling, this get your parts and get back to fixin' stuff centric, so if you are looking for license plate frames, decals, and stuff to hang from the mirror, drive past and stop holding up the line!
