Purchased a gauge mount from them years back for my car because it was the only aftermarket car parts store we could find around the area. We recently moved, and some way, some how they've found our new address and I'm receiving mail directly to our new home. I made a friendly call asking to be removed from their mailing list and their two employees, including a manager I talked to were completely rude, didn't give a f*ck, were lazy and basically would not provide any help what so ever. They seemed offended that I did not want to be receiving junk mail from them. This kind of jack-ass service isn't a surprise, since when we bought our gauge mount years back the guys were rude and unprofessional too. Its unfortunate they have no competition in the area for car parts because their heads are blown up so big, they've developed a "i'm-the-shit-and-you-need-me" attitude when it comes to doing business. Yuck. Jerk offs like these don't deserve business if they refuse to take care of their customers. Take my warning: they'll harass you with mail and refuse to help you years down the road. Moving? Don't worry, they'll find you, and refuse to find the source of the problem for you. They could give a damn less about their customers satisfaction. Small shop, poor location near Andrews AFB, and a shitty small show room. Most parts you'll need will most likely take time to order any how. And at that rate, I'd suggest you buying directly online from some other source that would take better care of you, and not harass you years down the road and hunt you down with your new address. In the category of speed shops in the DC area, this place is about as good as it gets. They've been in business for over 40 years, and have outlasted many other shops in the region - I think it's for three reasons. 1: location right off of the Beltway, 2: it's big enough that it has most of the muscle car parts that you will need, and 3: These guys know what they are talking about. Most of us buy parts off the internet, but if you get the wrong thing and have to send it back, that process can take two weeks total. These guys are there for returns, but more importantly, they'll make sure that you get the right carburetor springs in the first place. The cons: they can be expensive, but our carb was the same price there as on the internet, so price is hit or miss. There's always a racing DVD on the flat screens and there's a dragster simulator for entertainment. If you have to get an engine running and have one Saturday to do it, this is your best bet. More importantly, you'll usually leave with more HP than you came in with. read more

First of all. The guy that wrote the review in 2011 is completly wrong. There is NO way they " track people down" to find someone's address. He must have purchased something and they had him on file. That is the ONLY way they would have that info. HE provided it. And let's be real here, you received a flyer about a sale that happens once a year. Really? This was my first time in this store. I was referred to go here from a friend that has been here before. I was looking to purchase a lug nut for my back tire that was missing one. As I pulled up I seen a guy standing outside that I noticed later worked there. I looked through the store as the two gentlemen helped other customers. Once they were done I ask did they sell lug nuts. Being a female I thought he would of been more helpful than he was. He asked me what kind of car I had then went to the back. Once he came back he asked if I had a short or long one. Then he proceeded to tell me that he doesn't only have one they come in a pack of 4. I told him that was fine, i didn't mind purchasing the pack. Then he said but I need to know which one you have. I asked him if he could come outside and look at my tire because I had no idea what he was talking about. He had the nerve to tell me no, I had to bring the other lug nut into the store so he can see it. As if I was going to really go outside and take it off the tire. He said "sorry I can't help you." I felt like this was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Being that the other person seen that I pulled up in a Dodge Charger and could have gave him some insight on my tires. He looked my car up and down almost as if how is "she" driving that. I hate to pull the race card but being that one of them was already outside clearly told me they just didn't want to help me. These two older white men was not at all helpful to a potential customer trying to give them my business but seemed pretty helpful to the other "white" customers in the store. I hesitated for a second because I didn't know how I wanted to react at that moment. Instead of being angry I said "have a nice day" and went to the Dodge dealer. They sold me an incorrect part after I gave them the correct part number after getting passed around from Pete then to Joe they both been stringing me along for over 3 weeks. Although I purchased the part over 3 months ago and they told me it was the correct one it took me 4 months to save money to get the part installed only to find out that they sold me the wrong part and refuse to take it back or even exchange it for the correct part. If that is not lieng and stealing I don't know what is and car car is still not running and now I owe a mechanic for starting the work but can't finish because these people stole my money ...... thanks for nothing Parts Unreasonable. read more

Never had a bad experiance with these guys, every time I call them to ask if they have a part in stock it is and when ever I got to pick it up its always ready behind there counter even if I dont tell them Im coming to pick it up. Them also being open on Sundays is a big + for people like me who only have time to work on my own cars on the weekends and there prices are not that bad compared to online prices. I purchased a distributor, ignition coil and bracket for my Pontiac GTO back in 2012. I worked with Pete. The distributor turned out to be defective, I had to have a muscle car specialist call him and confirm the part was bad. Speed Unlimited took the part and was going to send it back to the manufacturer but never replaced or refunded $512.12 I spent. Customer beware, stay clear of this place. i went to get tires mounted and balanced and i had the worst service ever. They didn't want to change them at first and when they finally did they made me take off the wheels in the parking lot and they got an attitude when i told him i needed all four of my wheels replaced with the new ones i had. i already had valve stems in the box and i told him and they said i don't feel like looking for them and he charged me for new ones. needless to say i would give them 0 out of 5 but it will only go as low as 1 star and i will never go back to that place and i would not recommend that to anyone. read more

Worst customer service ever!!!!! I don't even want to give them a "one star" rating but I have to click on at least one, they are horrible! They pick up the phone and immediately put you on hold w/o saying anything and will keep you there for over 5 minutes. When they finally pick up they are all rude. If you ask for a manager they just pass the phone around to whoever is available to play "manager" and then that person is rude, laughs about it and hangs up. I was hung up on for asking about their return policy. Online orders can be returned with the full purchase amount within 14 days but if you walk into their store, buy something and return it that same day you can only get store credit.
