The girl attending us was extremely rude and dismissive. We came in twenty minutes before closing and she was too busy flirting at the register with a man that was not purchasing anything, who I'm assuming is her boyfriend. She rudely asked us what we needed and when two people walked in the door she annoyingly scoffed and said "I fucking hate when we get rushes at night." We were extremely nice so I'm confused why she behaved this way and even if we weren't I'm not certain why she would think that that type of customer service is appropriate. Terrible customer service. One of the bald managers was very rude. He didn't want to accept my return and said I have to go to the original store, which would be the Rosecrans store. By policy he has to accept the return. I had the receipt and product unused, absolutely no reason to deny my return and be rude about it. read more

Had to get some advice on a possible battery issue I was having in my truck. I called this locations as I had an AutoZone battery in my truck. It was starting to corrode around the poles. They said they had it so I went in. Jesus helped me right away. He checked my current battery, looked up the warranty for me and grabbed a new one. I just had the best service from the AutoZone on Alondra and Lakewood Blvd in Bellflower. Employee Abram went well above and beyond. He was already off work and he helped me by changing not one but both my break lights! One of them had melted inside the housing unit and was stuck but that didn't stop Abram. He took the entire unit inside the store so he could see it better and when he came out he had successfully dislodged the broken bulb. He then went on to change out the middle break light as well. Abram went the extra mile in all respects and even gave me suggestions where I cold go for additional services that I am in need of. The manager on site could see I was frustrated after realizing I was sold the wrong battery size for my car from the competitor. The girl that initially helped me was nice but she did a bad job installing my battery, she left it completely lose, I went back the next day because my car radio kept turning on and off. The manager or whoever it was a man was very rude and said that, her installing my battery was a Curtesy, I understand that but that doesn't mean that you do a shitty job at it. I consider Autozone to be a third tier auto parts chain. Their parts lines are cheap and not durable, and most of the employees I've interacted with weren't very helpful, knowlegable, or professional. Why should they be really, when the company works them hard and pays dick? I've seen them recommend the wrong parts with their "free diagnostic scan" especially oxygen sensors. Then they sell a cheap part to replace a high quality original part that isn't bad, and now the car has two problems. I believe the state Bureau of Auto Repair made them stop because they aren't licensed auto repair dealers, just clerks selling auto parts. Good if you need something basic like fluids or accessories, especially evenings and weekends. Also if you care about convenience and cheapness more than potential quality and longevity; amazing numbers of people choose cheapness over everything when servicing a durable item such as an automobile. I visited AutoZone yesterday to have my battery and/or alternator checked. I was helped by a young man named Wilmer. He checked my battery but not my alternator. My brother explained that both parts should've been checked. I called spoke with Edgar, the manager. He had me return and he checked it himself and because I had a warranty on the battery, he replaced it. Edgar took the time to apologize and explain that the young man tried to help because they were busy but it's not his typical duties. Ridiculous!!! 0 stars!!! I took in a battery that was at 50% to get charged and when I picked it up I was told it was completely dead. Then I took it to another auto parts and it was charged completely and was told it was a good battery. We bought a brand new battery Duaralast gold battery with warranty from this auto zone a month later for a truck. We decided to test this place out so we took the brand new battery to get charged without telling them that it was brand new. When we picked up the battery they told us the battery was no good and needed to be replaced, they said it was at 0% charged. I then told them that it was a brand new battery that was purchased 2 days prior, after I showed my receipt they wanted to replace the battery using my warranty. Do NOT take your battery here. It's a scam so that they make more sales off you. read more

I was changing fluids in my Corvette. So I went to AutoZone because I had a $20 off coupon. It took me a few minutes to figure out all the fluids and filters that I needed. Then i was a little perplexed and asked for assistance from a passing clerk. He assisted me, and went to the computer to get some information for me. Now I have everything I needed and went up to the register. The woman assisting me (Assistant Manager?) noticed I had a Bosch oil filter and asked me if I really wanted a Bosch? She said that another brand was on sale and proceeded to get it for me. Now I was ready to pay and the trouble hit, They were having computer problems and it took a while to get my transaction going. She was having trouble getting the computer to accept my coupon. So the manager stepped in to assist. He had the same trouble as she did. He then backed off a couple of items (almost $20) and gave me my coupon back for being so patient waiting for the computer problems. So I saved $20 and got to keep my $20 coupon. What a deal. They were helpful and efficient and nice. They just were having a bad computer day. read more

It's so crazy how stuff here is $5 to $10 more than at Walmart. I'm not talking about the total either, each item from the air filters, oil filters, oil and more. The Mobil 1 five qt is $22 at Walmart and $35 here. Fram air filter is $20 here and $12 at WM, Mobil 1 oil filter $15 here, $10 at WM.
