Very rude and unprofessional staffs, especially NICK (young guy). I had an appointment, when I came, he ignored me, not even a greeting (so rude), until I talked to a woman, then a guy came to talk to me. They're so untrained. I've done my maintenance for many years, but with location and these staffs, the service was terrible. After the service is done, I saw the mile ticket was unchanged. Nick told me the machine was not working, he won't change for me (that's it). He even told to talk to his manager in an unprofessional manner!!!!! I asked a mechanist to change it for me, he did! Thee BEST MECHANIC with not only elite skills, but also with extreme professional customer service. I've legit never been treated so well at Walmart on Carson st. Never bad, but NEVER this well.. I tried to get a photo of him but he was camera shy! I needed a battery replacement and was under warranty (so it was an easy fix) but it's early AUGUST, hot as hell, and busy as Well. I was scared when he had to leave since his shift was over but he assured me I'd be ok and he had handled everything.. I was handed off to Feliz. A younger guy who is doing the install . DO NOT GET YOUR TIRE INSTALLED HERE!!! They BREAK parts on your car & claim they will reimburse you if you fix them- but then WONT!!! IT WAS A LIE!!!!! I AM LIVID Decided on Black Friday to buy a tire and have it installed at Walmart. $90 said and done NBD. So I make an appointment & head 20+ miles to pico Rivera bc that's the closest Walmart w an auto center. I get there 15 mins early and no one even acknowledged the 5-10 people waiting there until I said something. There was NO ONE there to help us for like 20 mins. Then someone finally came. I wasn't checked in until 11:30 am. Fine, they are busy. They found my tire & put in the back seat (& SAID they notated that- which is important for later) I SHOWED the guy that the pressure was on 20 (the rest were 40). I was replacing a tire w a screw in it. It's in a shopping center w some stores so I go shopping... 2.5 hrs later I check on it and notice it's "on hold" no one called to let me know this, so I called them. The guy on the phone told me that they couldn't change the tire because the Lugnuts were too stripped. TWO AND A HALF HOURS IN THEY ARE SAYING THEY CANT DO WHAT I CAME HERE FOR?! I was LIVID. I'm a NYer so I curse a LOT, & I had some choice words. The guy HUNG UP ON ME!! I stormed over there (I was at a store on the other side of the shopping center) even MORE upset bc the guy hung up on me!!! I talk to another guy, & he says they can't do it bc they COULDNT FIND THE TIRE. Meanwhile, it was IN THE BACK SEAT. When I pointed that out they said "ok we'll fix it now" acting like that's what the problem was I waited another 30-45 mins for it to be changed. The guy comes out and shows me that the lugnut was stripped and messed up, so I guess that was true. But if I KNEW that was the case I would have taken it, & had my mechanic friend do it & given him the the money ‍ anyway, I need to buy a new lugnut, but it's ok w 4 for now. Not a big deal. I pay $30 and leave. I get into my car and my sensor on that tire is now ZERO. Nothing. I thought it was odd so I asked my friend that is a mechanic, and he said that's not normal. I went back in and asked them & they said it should work in a few miles. I drove to the citadel outlets bc they were right there. 5 miles. Still 0. Called them again. They said the mechanic said there was no sensor when he took off the tire??? Impossible bc my mechanic said there was one when he did and it worked fine. And when I came in IT WAS WORKING. I showed the guy 20 psi on my dash (I wish I took a pic ) they said I could get it fixed and they would reimburse. I said how do I know that will be true if i do?! He said the manger already knew about it, that they would. This was either a boldfaced lie or they had no idea what they were talking about. I got it fixed by my mechanic, and he said it was BROKEN OFF in a way that my tire could have deflated at any moment. They put my LIFE AT RISK. I call back and leave a message for the manager, never heard back. I call back again- THE MANAGER SAYS THEY FIX IT THERE AND WONT REIMBURSE??!!! Then why did two people before you tell me that that was how it was done???? I am so mad I didn't get their names!!!! I didn't get anyone's names... but everyone there is a lair, bad at their job or just plain st*pid I got angry and the manager then hung up on me. Because that's what professionals do right? They hang up on customers after messing up their car?! and the funny thing is they only do tires and oil changes... How are you so bad at your job that the one thing you do you mess up?! UPDATE: I complained on Twitter/X & they had me send all the info via DM. took a whilllllle but JUST finally got reimbursed by Walmart corporate!! Nice people, under staffed, and there is no desire to add more people. I was #4 in line at 7 am only needing an oil change. I was told about 1 hour, at 2-1/2 hours I left. Most auto repair businesses have lots of customers at opening, as did Walmart, but in the case of Walmart they only had 2 technicians on the clock. Oil changes an minor service are money makers for businesses, yet it appears that the bonus at the end of the year that is obtained by cutting hours is more important than driving sales. The people are nice, while the management is out of touch. If Walmart adds more workers I would consider returning. It is not worth my time to wait. read more

Came here on a week day and they were literally working on one car at a time. Took 4 hours to get a new tire on. The employees are always talking in the back and never working. Don't get me wrong, the prices here are hard to beat. Much better than other shops that offer similar services. But is it worth the wait? Employees could care less about customers. They will let the phone ring constantly and just ignore it. If you make an appointment it does not matter. Came in the morning once and waited hours and came in the afternoon and waited hours then I came near closing and it was 3 hour wait. Make sure you have tons of time on your hands. read more

I used to go here all the time for my oil changes and it usually take a hour or so to get it done. I recently went and it literally took them like 7-8 mins to do it. I work from home most of the time so I don't drive my car around besides driving around the area. After a few days I seen a leak under my car didn't think anything of it. Then a few days ago I drove it to my work office and the Oil Service light would pop on and off during my drive to and from work. I called a few times no answer. I went there any they refused to help me, to check it out, and said that they didn't mess it up. I don't know what else to do since this is my only car for work. read more

DO NOT GET YOUR OIL CHANGED HERE! I could not be more disappointed with the oil change service here. Brought in my little brother's Nissan with almost 200,000 miles and these guys put 5-30W oil when 10-30W is recommended in areas over 18° celcius which is 64.4 degrees! Now the oil light is on and the engine sounds like a diesel truck! I asked them to put the 10-30 in as recommended and they told me that I would have to buy the oil off the shelf and pay an additional $44.95 for them to put it in. Oh, and sign a waiver too. I would give them zero stars which accurately rates their customer service if that were possible. read more

I have been in need of two tires who were pretty bald and after searching multiple businesses my fiancé and I never thought to try Walmart. We came in at first to check my fiancé's tire that ran over a drill bit and Johnny was helpful in letting us know that there was no puncture. First Time here, I bought 4 Tires on Walmart.com and had the appointment scheduled, 10 days ago. 8:00 AM, I'm here 15 minutes early, as it stated in my Order. First Guy at the Counter don't know anything, calls someone else. (My Name is right there on the Screen on the Counter.) They can't seem to find the Tires, that I already paid for. Second Guy shows up, calls a third Guy, the "Manager". Talks to him in Spanish. Finds out the Tires are here, after all. Then, the Conversation starts: "Sir, we can't install these Tires on your Mercedes, because our Lift is out." I point at a Floorjack, they have many in the Shop: " What do you think that big red thing is with the handle on it?" "It will lift the Car." Manager is getting a bit confused, Says: "Well, that wouldn't be good, takes too long." And: "Our Lift has been out of Order for a while now, we can't work on a Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, etc". Me: "I can leave the Car, I got a Ride" Him: "Sorry, no can do. There is another Walmart some place, maybe their Lift is working...?" I was supposed to have these Tires installed for free, now I had to take them to another Tire place around the Corner and pay another $175 to have them mounted, balanced, etc. By the way, besides the attitude, how about cleaning the Shop up a little bit? DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE !!! Ordered tires online and made appt.. They cancelled the appt. and had to reschedule a week later. They installed the pre-purchased tires but failed to reset my tire pressure monitor gauge. I drove off and noticed pressure light still illuminated, went immediately back. Woman said must drive it for 15 miles and come back. Did just that, now she says only two workers in back, have to came back AGAIN in later afternoon. Did that and the auto service manager, who is so incompetent and lazy, said that the gauge must be broke. I told him "no, it was working fine when I brought vehicle in for installation". He grumpily and rudely took a little gadget to my tires only to find out the the one tire was 15 lbs, too low in pressure. Took him TWO MINUTES, they put the right amount of air in and gauge goes off finally. This all could have been avoided if they had done their job when installing. This nearly half my day. I am a mechanic at a shop in Burbank, my client Nicole purchased and had a tire replaced at this Walmart location. She had the WORST experience from start to finish. The TPMS sensor wasn't working after they replaced the tire. The mechanic said there was no sensor. When she called, they told her to take it elsewhere to fix, & they would reimburse her. When I broke the bead (term for separating a tire from the wheel) ,of that tire to check the sensor I realized that they broke the sensor itself, throw it away and left only the portion that allows to fill the tire up with air again, endangering the vehicle to loose pressure suden on the road and cause a serious accident, they tried to hide it by saying there was none. I have fixed this car before, I know there's was one. In fact the car was showing 4 signals when it came into their shop, When she called back to get reimbursed, they told her that they couldn't reimburse her, even though that's what she was TOLD to do. Mechanics can make mistakes, managers that cover these mechanics mistakes regardless of endangering peoples safety just to save themselves of their obligations to repair the mistakes are nothing less than lousy criminals. Don't put your car's occupants safety on the hands of these Walmart scoundrels of Pico Rivera Auto Center. read more

Im sorry but this Walmart's Auto Center has some very unprofessional employees. We pull up and we see 3 employees standing around joking with each other while 1 employee jumps in another customers car and drives it like a bat out of hell, no care. So i try parking and the main person handling the cashiering gets in the car next to me but is still standing outaide the car. He didnt even care that i was trying to park. Smh We go inside and theres 2 customers waiting for service. The main cashier/tech comes back in to help the first customer in line. Another employee comes inside and stands there to watch the news on the tv thats in there, ignoring the customer service. He helped the line AFTER he was asked to help the customers. Like, u see a line why dont u come and help? Bad customer service. I ordered 2 tires online to pick up at this location and received a email stating my order is ready but for only 1 tire on a tues (which was expected) Walmart tells us to wait for the other tire to come in before picking the entire order up. So we received another email the next day (wed) but was too busy to check the order. Thursday we call to make sure that both tires are ready for pick up. The 1st lady that answered the phone sounded rude. I told her my situation and gave her my name and puts me on hold. A male picks up the phone and i tell him my situation and hes replying to me like he doesnt know if my tires are in, but hasnt even asked for any order # nor my name to check it until I ask him if he can look it up by my name or order number then he says yes n askes for the last 4 numbers of the order numbers. He then places me on hold. A female gets back on the phone and informs me that both tires are in. Smh Seeing that this department at this location is handled UNprofessionally I will never do any type of auto service! I came here to have tires put on my 2017 Sienna. They had the best price I could find. Within a month of getting the tires, I ran over a nail & shredded my tire. The store Manager Johnny took care of quickly and replaced the tire for free, and made sure to add Road & Hazard Warranty on all 4 tires since I wasn't able to add it when I purchased the tires online. Do not waste your time coming here ! My car had trouble starting up so I assumed it was the battery. I called this Walmart to confirm that they had the battery in stock before coming in, whoever answered said they indeed had the battery I needed. I go in and the female cashier asks how can she help me. I stated that I believe I needed a new battery but wasn't entirely sure so I wanted to see about possibly purchasing a new one. Her response was "ok so how do you want me to help you" I explained what the issue was, again trying to confirm it was the battery before just jumping up and purchasing one the male cashier interrupts and tells her to run a test on my battery. We go outside she can barely figure out how to open the hood and has no idea what kind of car it is. Mind you I drive a very common basic vehicle, I obviously understand asking for the year but you're standing in front of my vehicle and have absolutely no idea what it is. Anyways, it is indeed the battery she takes me back inside to see if they have it. She tells me they don't have the battery in stock. I told her that's weird I spoke to someone on the phone who told me they do. I showed her the number I called because she claimed I probably called a different store. She finds the male cashier which I assume was the manager of the department and he's telling me he's been in the front all day and he's the only one that answers the phone. He didn't tell anyone anything about this specific battery. So I'm like okay well can you check to see what store would have it in stock. He proceeds to tell me he can't check any stores inventory and that he also can't call for me but maybe the app will tell us. Then tells me the app says Lakewood has 4 in stock and Cerritos has 4. I left this location and decided to go to Cerritos, I get there and Cerritos Walmart doesn't even have an auto center !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ended up calling and going to 2 other Walmarts with also rude unhelpful employees that wasted my time but I'll save that for their review. Stay far away from this location !!! read more

Came in at 7 AM to get an oil change. Employees were nice and since it was slow, my oil change was done in about 15 minutes. When I came in I requested the "good" oil change. I should have drank my coffee sooner because I was obviously not completely awake when one of them said something along the lines of "ok so a synthetic oil change?" I agreed and signed even asking to the cashier "this is the 'good' oil change right" and he said yes. He must have thought I was just asking if it was a good type of oil or something like that. I felt really stupid when I went to check out and above the cashiers head I read that the good oil change was referred to as standard. I really needed to get my oil change done and I didn't want to go to a different one after work because I knew it would take longer. But at this point I may go back to the different company that always goes over the different oil changes and prices. However, I do understand that it was my fault in regards to just agreeing to pay $50 for a synthetic oil change that my car did not need. 2/5 for quick service but obviously overcharging me because I was naive.
