Bringing them up to 5 stars. My sons Dodge Charger had the engine light come on. We drove it over and spoke to a very knowledgeable young lady who loaned us the code checker. We uploaded the code and she ran it on the computer and it showed that the number one cylinder had either a bad spark plug, or a bad ignition coil. Which made sense since the car was running rough. I bought a new set of spark plugs and a new set of ignition coils ($250 total), which were formerly spark plug wires which ran off of one coil, now each plug has its own independent coil as it's an electronic ignition system. We drove home, changed out the easy side (as I need to go out of town), and we will change out the other side (hard side) next weekend. We drove it back over and she loaned us the code checker to plug back in and then clear the check engine light. It worked and I was happy. I didn't catch her name, but she was very helpful, very professional, and very knowledgeable. Thank you very much !!!

My Mom was on the way to run errands and her 2010's era Kia Soul car wouldn't start. We jumped her…read morebattery and her engine started revving again! While her battery was already way past its expected life at 5 years, we wanted to see how far it could go! After all who doesn't want to stretch their car battery's life!? We needed some groceries and my Mom was happy to make a quick run to HEB. Her car started up and a smooth-drive-up-Anderson-Mill later she made it to HEB's parking lot on the corner of Anderson Mill and FM 620! Fast-forward one hour, after a pleasant grocery shopping experience, her car stalled when she put her keys in the ignition... Fortunately a gentleman from our wonderful Cedar Park community saw my Mom was in need and helped her jump her car again. A few cable connections later and she was on the way home! I'm still grateful for that gentleman's help! Turn the clock forward a few days and my Mom was ready to get on the road again with her list of errands in hand. *Click... click... click*, my Mom's car battery wouldn't start... We stretched it as far as we could. This time it was time to get help from the Good, Professional People at Autozone! Our Amazing neighbors who are like extended family members came over to help us remove my Mom's car battery! We kind of tried a few things and then our neighbor Michael recommended that we just jump my Mom's car again and drive Together to Autozone! Thank God my Mom's car started one last time! We got on the road, nervous that her Trustworthy & Dependable Kia Soul would stall along the way. With anxiety at the wheel, we vroomed up Anderson Mill and onto White Stone! We both sighed with relief when my Mom's car was neatly parked in front of the Autozone doorway! When we went in, a kind, hardworking, cheerful staff member named Kilani greeted us and asked us, "How can I help you?!" My Mom shared about needing a new car battery and Kilani was quick, professional, & effective at finding us the right battery for her exact Kia Soul car model! She shared pricing & warranty options as well to fit our budget! Once my Mom chose the best battery for her budget, an older staff member & gentleman helped us complete the purchase! A few minutes later, Kilani had the new battery in her arms and asked us to follow her to the car! She got to work with removing my Mom's previous battery! Turns out Kia Soul's are a little complicated, haha! With the screws removed, the battery wouldn't budge! Kilani tested a few things and then asked the store manager for help! He was quick & professional as well and excited help us! He found a tricky panel that needed to be unscrewed and then the battery slid right out #TeamWork ! We thanked him for his help while Kilani put the new battery in! Just a few minutes later, my Mom had her keys in the ignition with the engine rumbling nice & smooth! We were back on the road with confidence! Thank you to Kilani and the rest of the professional team at Autozone on White Stone! We are Grateful for your help & service! We look forward to bringing our cars to you next time we need a replacement or repair!

Other than high battery prices (which seems to be the case with all the standalone parts places as…read morecompared to Walmart), I enjoy visiting the Cedar Park AutoZone. They are always well stocked and have about anything you need for your automobile, from actual parts to cleaning solutions. Their prices include installation of basic parts like windshield wipers and batteries. I am always greeted by the friendly staff when I arrive. Sometimes the checkout process is a little confusing. There is one main register that is rarely manned. Then there are a couple of computers down the counter where the employees look up available car parts. Customers can also pay for those parts there at those computers. If you only buy something from the salesfloor, and the 2 or 3 employees are helping customers needing parts, there is nowhere to pay. You don't know if you should go stand at the main register and wait or get behind one of the parts customers and wait. It doesn't happen often, but it does when they're really busy. The prices are in line with other parts houses, and they also collect used motor oil without charge. So if you, like I, change your own oil, you can take the used oil there for disposal.

Stranded on Thanksgiving Day, needing a battery replacement. Everything else was closed except…read moreO'Reilly in Cedar Park - even Walmart was closed on Thanksgiving. We arrived to find a salesman of few words. Not rude, just not in the mood for conversation, I guess. We explained the situation, and he asked questions about the car, make, model, and year. Then he says, "The only one we have that fits that car is $290.00 plus a core charge of $29." I had already checked Walmart's prices, not realizing they had finally begun closing on Thanksgiving. The Walmart price for the same size, amp, volt, etc. battery was $179.95. So we paid the price of needing something in a holiday emergency. I expected parts houses to be more expensive than Walmart, but I didn't expect them to be nearly TWICE the price. Anyhow, we said, "Sure, we'll take it." So he rang us up, and we paid. He brought the battery from the stockroom and set it on the counter and mumbled "Thanks," and walked away. I said, "The sign says you install batteries free of charge, is that right?" He kind of grunts, "Yes." Then he went into the back again, and I wasn't sure if he was coming back or not. But after a couple of minutes, he comes back out with tools to change the battery. I am sure he was hoping we would just take the battery and leave. It took him a while to change the battery in dead silence. When he finished, he just turned around and went back into the store. I followed him, however, and when we got inside, I handed him the receipt back and said, "Now, you can refund the core charge." He took the receipt without saying a word, completed the $29.00 refund, and returned the refund and receipt without saying a word. By this time, a lady had come out of the back and was standing behind the counter also. I took the refund slip and looked at her and said "Happy Thanksgiving," to which she kind of smiled but didn't speak. After we got home, I looked at the receipt again and saw that WITHOUT ASKING -WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW IN TEXAS- an added a $4.00 "Extended warranty" to the bill! It was too much trouble to return for a refund. If it is customer service you wish, along with a battery that is priced almost double the one a mile down the street, and a hidden charge for a worthless warranty you didn't want, this is the place to go! If you're not in a jam on a holiday, then there are many other places to purchase overpriced batteries that offer a much more congenial service experience. The only really good part of this experience was that they were OPEN and we were able to get the replacement and be on our way. But I only live a few miles up the street from this store and I'll be sure to avoid it like the plague in the future.

I mentioned I had bought it roughly 2 years ago and the Auto Zone associate stated it should be under warranty but they didn't carry that brand and advised me to go to O'Reilly, hence, why I was here now. The O'Reilly associate reviewed the logs to see how long ago it was that I actually bought it and to ensure I could get it replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately, they didn't carry this battery either but he double checked my car to make sure the previous employee was being truthful about the state of the battery. After inspecting it, he noted that it was an Advance Auto Parts brand and even called the store for me before he sent me on a fool's errand. Fortunately they were in stock and he informed them he was sending me over to get it replaced. I appreciated the extra mile he went even though I didn't purchase anything! I might have to come here instead next time :) Thank you so much for the great customer service!

I was replacing my windshield wipers, knew exactly what size I required, and knew I wanted the replacement warranty. The employee who helped me was surprised and said he didn't immediately offer it because he said I seemed like I just knew what I wanted and he was ringing me up, but it wasn't an issue. He then, like my previous review, offered to install my wipers. Of course I took him up on the offer. I appreciate that service. (As a side note, you should get this warranty. It's only a couple of bucks, and within a year, just return and you can get the wipers replaced, no cost. Just renew the warranty for those few bucks when you do it. No catch!)

I told Terry over the phone what make and model my car was, and he said they did have them in stock. When I got there, I asked for Terry. But, he asked Robert for assistance in the diagnosis. Robert showed Terry the codes that came up, and that I would need to Google what they meant. But, then Robert went a step further and did it for me. We went back inside to get windshield wipers. Terry looked up my wipers and told me of their great program if you buy the warranty (only a few dollars) and they wear out (which in Texas sun, they do a lot), you just come back, pay just that warranty again, and the wipers are no cost. When we were done, he went to look for the wipers, had to ask Robert for assistance in finding them. We proceeded out to my car, which we were just at and he asked "This car"? I stood back and let him work, but he was having difficulty. He said he had to go back in to get screwdriver. That did not work. He went back in and got Robert again. Robert then took over and showed him how they came off and how to reinstall. Glad they provide those services. It was of a great help!

Me being able to see a woman install a battery which I know is not a big deal but for me it is because I'm use to always seeing Men care to this type of service. This is the second time this week. I've actually gone to a place and had assistance from a woman when I typically think that this job growing up it's a guy job. As I continue to grow up as a older adult, I realize that we are such powerful woman. I appreciate the two ladies that helped me out today and getting my car back up and running. Being able to be knowledgeable of how to navigate and use our resources is very key and should never be restricted to gender setting. I felt not only happy to write this review about the ladies who helped me today, but I want to encourage us as women that we should never continue to limit what we know is accessible to us as women. We don't have to live in the stereotype that I have grown up in where men have a certain job and women have a certain job. We can continue to transition and grow as we thrive through this changing world . Thank you to O'Reilly for giving ladies the opportunity to be just as equally qualified as a man to service our community. Thank you again to Jen and Sabrina for making sure that I will fully navigate and use the resources that have been provided for this new battery if needed. I am excited to ride this battery out for the next four years.

My name is Curtis Ayers and I recently purchased a car from Austintatious Autos. I am a college…read morestudent and I needed to purchase a semi-affordable car. I borrowed some money from my parents to help pay for it. I purchased the car for $5000.00 and neither the salesman nor anyone told me about the problems the car possessed. After a period of two and a half months, my car had to go into the shop. My mechanic informed me that my car had a broken Axle, a broken rear differential, among other things, I had to pay $1384.00 to get everything fixed (27% of the orginal car cost). In addition to the damage, he also informed me that this damage could not have happened within the short time frame I had my car and that he would place a solid bet that the dealership knew about it as well. Since I have only had the car for a few months, I went back to this dealership. I went into the office and calmly informed him of my issue and gave him the business card of the mechanic working on my car to talk to him, so the mechanic could talk to the owner of the shop directly. I returned to the dealer about a week and a half later to see if he had called the mechanic. He told me that he was busy with a bunch of stuff and didn't have the time to either call the mechanic or me. In addition, his wife called me an idiot for taking their word. So I am giving every consumer who is considering buying a car from them a heads up. If they are going to treat me this unprofessionally they might do it to you too. Have a good day.
