I was also frustrated because GEICO's repair estimates were lower than expected. When I brought my car to Thibideau Autobody, their team immediately took the initiative to work directly with GEICO and address the repair costs. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and made sure I understood what was happening at each step. Within a week, they helped arrange a rental car, and one of their representatives even drove me to pick it up. When my car was ready, another representative picked me up so I could return the rental. The repairs were excellent, and my car was returned to me spotless and clean. Their professionalism, communication, and willingness to go the extra mile made me feel valued and supported. I highly recommend Thibideau Autobody to anyone looking for quality work and excellent customer service.

Gibbs Auto Shop is one of those places that I always go to and ask myself why haven't i written a…read moregood review for them yet. Well.. Here I go finally :) I always go to Gibbs before I go anywhere else for my car. The owner, I believe his name is Jose, is always so honest and upfront with me not only giving me the best deal possible in the area but also takes his time to educate me. As a young female, I can't help but feel taken advantage of in the past with auto repair shops so i am genuinely greatful to find "Jose". In fact, I am getting my oil changed right now as I am typing this up at the cafe (sipping on a nice iced Americano yum!) next door... The fantastic location is a bonus :) .. He educated me that there's only two types of oil changes -- a regular one or synthetic one.. If its some kind of blend, then they're fooling you. I called around for quotes all day and he gave me the best price around (30$ less than another place so i was happy bc I rather support a small local business anyways .. Plus I love Gibbs!). The last time I went to him, he told me he could fix my issue by getting a brand new part for 300$ or if I just go to a specialist who can mend what I already have since they have the right tools they could do it for less than 100$ .. I definitely took his advice, saved a good chunk of money, and just overall appreciate of his honesty and never taking advantage of a young gal who wouldn't know any better. Honestly, I just want to send lots of good karma his way because I don't think i ever came across a better mechanic with such a good and honest soul. I really recommend Gibbs especially if you want someone who is honest and just want to help you make the right and smart decision for your car. I'm moving away in a few weeks and I honestly will still drive close to an hour for his services bc I will be as loyal of a customer for as long as I can! Thank you "Jose"!!! ** oops I just read the other reviews and I guess his name is George.. Now I feel bad calling him Jose this whole time.. sorry George.. I better find out today when I pick up my car :p

The sway bar bushings for my V40 consist of four separate components. I supplied these parts because the Volvo dealer doesn't stock them and I didn't want to leave my car for two or three days waiting on the parts. I also supplied an installation diagram as I know these bushings are often installed incorrectly, which is what in fact happened despite my best efforts. Rave discarded two of the parts I'd supplied in the process of installing the other parts incorrectly. The front struts and coil springs.that were installed incorrectly by Rave were Volvo OEM parts purchased from Rave Imports.

I went through a quart of fluid between Providence and Boston. I couldn't wait to get back to my mechanic in Toronto. Based on other Yelp reviews I contacted Nick's garage and Rave. I explained the situation to both and waited for them to call me back with a quote. Rave provided an estimate within an hour while Nick was still waiting for a callback regarding parts costs, but did estimate costs similar to Rave. I went with Rave, we looked under the car together and Dave pointed out the signs of what the problem is. While under the car he did check a few other steering related things like tie rods an ball joints. They also had chairs in the garage area if i wanted to watch them work. So the story ends up with a happy, very satisfied customer who feels the customer service, attention to detail, and swift but not too swift as to miss anything service put meback on the road the same day. I needed my car for work the next day by 11 am and they were more than willing to work with me, and my car was actually ready to go by 9 am the following morning. Since then I've been there several more times, and have always appreciated their time and effort to help me. Not going to lie, I know absolutely nothing about cars and I'm the type of person where that is clearly written across my face.
