Had a cracked windshield that went from one side to the other on my Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van. I was recommended of AutoGlass Express from Sierra Adventure Vehicles. I was informed they have experience serving several Sprinter vans. Upon arrival it's small shop that besides servicing windshields they also work on motorcycles. The employees were professional and helpful. They inspected the windshield and gave me a reasonable quote. I decided to file a claim with my insurance company. AutoGlass gives you an option of an OEM windshield or an after market windshield but with an insurance claim the OEM must be approved by the insurance company. I was fortunate that the OEM windshield was approved. They installed the windshield in a reasonable time and calibrated it too. My van was right at the height of their garage door but they made the extra effort to deflate the tires and get it inside their garage bay to calibrate the windshield. I know this was an insurance claim but if I had to come back their pricing is very reasonable. I highly recommend AutoGlass Express. read more

Excellent service! We needed a last-minute windshield repair for my boss, and even though it was Labor Day weekend, Craig was able to fit us into his schedule on a Saturday. He was responsive, professional, and arrived on time. The repair was completed quickly, and the quality of the work was outstanding. We really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to help on short notice during a busy holiday weekend. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality windshield repair service! read more

From requesting an appointment to the install, everything went great. I needed a full windshield replacement on my newish car, so lots of new doodads compared to years ago. There was a small hiccup in the order but it was handled quickly and professionally. The day of install there were thunderstorms so instead of a doing it at my house, an employee drove to my house, picked up my car, brought it back to the shop, did the swap, then brought my car back! Absolutely top notch! And in addition to the great service, they were almost $400 LESS than the "safe" nationally known company! So I didn't have to drive 45 minutes, wait, and drive home! Hopefully I don't NEED this service again but if I do, definitely will call AutoGlass Express Truckee. read more

ATTENTION TO DETAIL. You might find a better "deal" elsewhere, but the team at Autoglass Truckee really showed the attention to detail so many lack these days. Thank you again for an amazing windshield replacement . The campout was a great memory . read more

Auto Glass and their staff are the kindest and most professional people in the Auto Glass business!!! We were in Truckee on vacation and on our drive up a pine cone or rock smashed through our moon roof as we were driving 70 mph l and shattered it completed scared everyone in the car (my wife, two daughters (4 year old and 1 year old) and myself). We didn't know what to do or what we could do to fix it being so far from home. My wife saw Auto Glass Express online and we called them as we were driving up and told them of our situation they could not have been more helpful. The first thing they did was told us what we could do for a temporary fix and then they told us to bring the car right into them and they could put a pressure wrap on it so it could last till we get home (they didn't have the part because its not a common one otherwise we would have gone with them). We get to the repair shop and the staff couldn't be more friendly and empathetic to our situation. They took the car right into the shop and fixed in 20 mins. I can't tell how impressed I was with their service and I'm just sorry we didn't stay in Truckee long enough to have them fix the car so they could have received more of our business. If you ever need any auto glass assistance call and go to Auto Glass Express!!!! Thank you guys for everything you did for my family and making a very stressful and terrifying event more bearable. read more

Amazing customer service. They were fast, reliable, and super friendly. I was going to drop my car off in Reno with Safelite, but I was required to leave my car there all day. Autoglass Express was able to replace my windshield in 30 minutes at a fraction of the cost Safelite quoted me. This company is just gr eat! read more

Improperly installed windshield and a defensive owner caused my insurance company to get involved and get my money back.

Fast service, worked well with my insurance, new windshield looks great. Craig was super helpful!

I have lived in Truckee for 20 years as an adult. This is the only place I will take my vehicles for windows! If I need something fixed or added on to my rig I ask them first. A business that makes you feel like family is rare. This review is a thank you for all the home runs they have hit for me! The owner is a true Patriot also! read more

I have been here twice to get glass replaced on my Subaru due to falling object damage on my property. They are really responsive, quick, and professional. I came to drop off my car during their posted lunch break (unintentionally) and the owner Craig saw me wandering around and accommodated me despite being on break. Really great service. Hopefully I don't need their services again (getting my evil car-damaging tree removed) but if I do, I will know my cars are in good hands. read more

We scheduled a windshield replacement for 8am. They called a few minutes after the hour asking where we were. My wife had gotten turned around due to parking lot construction and was consequently a few minutes late. What they failed to mention was that the replacement glass was not even there, even though we had scheduled the appointment a week prior. The glass eventually showed up, but my wife, who waited there for 2 hours had a choice of waiting another half a day or having me drive up from Reno to pick her up (which I did). When I asked Craig the owner about it, he was somewhat indignant stating that he couldn't be on top of everything as he was busy working. We did not even get an apology for the inconvenience nor even a "thank you for your business" when we paid him. Crappy customer service. I would not recommend. read more

Craig saves the day! Seriously the best auto experience I have ever had! After having my window was broken into, I was in need of replacement immediately. I spoke with other glass shops and they couldn't get it done until Monday, but when I called Autoglass Express Craig was able to find the replacement glass and offered to work on it on his day off. Thank you Craig, I am extremely grateful to know that there are good people out there! read more

This place is fast and efficient with a great friendly staff! My truck window was completely replaced in less than one hour! A bear broke my window at my house in Tahoe. Thanks bears (this happens a lot) There was nothing in there so the bear was super disappointed but not as much as I was when I discovered it early on a Saturday morning as rare storm clouds were rolling over the Lake towards my truck. OF course. Stop it bears! You can't even drive a manual! Luckily, my boss is friends with the owner of this place and I was able to text him the specifics on my truck so he could order the glass over the weekend. This was key as I didn't know they might need to order the glass-so call them first before you drive over. Highly recommend this for all your glass needs! Even non-bear related ones! read more

This place is great! I had a broken side window in my Subaru and they found me a used one and had it installed a few days later. I got a few other quotes, and they were for $500 plus. These guys got me the best deal possible (about $300) and made me a happy customer, where other places were more concerned with making more money off me. I would definitely recommend Auto Glass Express! read more

Literally a duck hit my windshield in whiteout conditions the other night. I called AutoGlass Express in the morning at 9 hoping I could get the windshield done in a few days at most. Their truck was en route to the warehouse, so they were able to get my windshield on the delivery truck and installed that afternoon. Craig was very helpful on the phone and the price was the same as Safelite in Reno, but being able to shop local saved us the drive and gas money, so really, it was cheaper than fixing it in "the big city." Our other car has a small crack in the windshield, so we will return again when the crack spreads. Note: the location pin on the map is incorrect and it's just West down Pioneer Trail a bit further than the map says, but the address number is correct. read more

These guys are amazing! After an unscrupulous individual in San Francisco took my bag via breaking my window then a windy drive home I was not excited about the hoops I imagined were necessary to replace the window -- thinking it'd be rather hard here in Truckee. I called them first thing in the morning, my car was picked up from my work and I was back with a whole car by the afternoon. The price was also very reasonable. I will recommend this team to everyone. Thank you. read more

They are the best! I've been dealing with BMW of San Francisco , sadly, for two plus years - but had my car towed here over the holiday weekend, and they were nothing short of EXCELLENT. Josh and Adrian get special shoutouts: they know their stuff! Both were on top of my repair, efficient, provided a cost estimate ($150 less than the typical BMW quote), and I was impressed with my level of service. They even coordinated an after hours pick-up for me so that I could get my car at a time that works for me. I will not hesitate to use this place again...in fact, I'll even go as far to say, I'll pay the 100+ mileage towing fee to use this place OVER BMW San Francisco for all future issues with my car. I'm a type A, fussy person who is not pleased often. But AutoGlass hit it out of the park with me. Thank you. read more

Excellent work, and very accommodating with the service logistics. We had a badly cracked windshield just before Christmas, and set up a mobile repair appt just after Christmas. The morning of the appt, they called me to say that since the weather was a little unsettled, and outdoor repair wasn't a great idea. They offered to drive our car from Soda Springs to their shop in Truckee, as I was already out skiing, and also I didn't feel comfortable driving with such a big spider web in the drivers side. They had the car back in our driveway by early afternoon, with glass looking as good as new. BTW, they also ordered both the heated and non-heated versions, as I couldn't tell which one I had, and installed the heated one, which is what I had. read more

On vacation up here in Tahoe City. A day ago, a pinecone fell and shattered my windshield during an afternoon storm. Found Autoglass Express Truckee on Yelp. Left a message after hours and within 20 minutes got a call from the owner Craig. He was extremely helpful and immediately got my windshield ordered. One day later, two employees came to my cabin to install the new windshield. They called ahead to let me know they were running ahead of schedule and could they come earlier? Fine with me! They could not have been more helpful or friendly. Also, the cost of the replacement windshield was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this business and I am happy I was able to support a local business. read more

Had a rear window busted out on my Audi during an overnight trip to the SF Bay Area, bummer! It happened on Memorial Day weekend so I was stuck driving windowless until the following Tuesday. Called Auto Glass Express and was booked for an appointment in two days! That was great as bigger places in Reno couldn't get me in until the following Tuesday-an entire week. The work performed by Auto Glass went great. From the customer service in the front office to the actual repair-everything was flawless. Personable and professional. I prefer giving business to local outfits in Truckee so that worked out as well. Best part: the repair cost was some two hundred dollars less than the quote I received from the Reno outfit-and they wanted me to wait a week-unacceptable. Hopefully I won't be needing any additional glass repair, but if I do-I'll be back to Auto Glass Truckee. read more

Craig and his team are fantastic! My son had a windshield break over weekend on his way to Montana. AutoGlass Express Truckee is an excellent glass repair shop with super friendly and helpful employees. I've used them twice now for a window replacement and a repair, and each time the process was easy and yielded great results. It is also super convenient that they will come to you to do the repair (I live in Incline Village up at the lake). AutoGlass Express is the best in the region. read more

Every place I called had a appointments booked out until the 1st week of April - it was only March 21st. I set my appointment for a windshield and side front passenger window replacement for April 5th, but, also put myself on their cancellation list. Craig really helps us out when our sunroof shattered.
