Thanks to Yelp, I found these guys. Talk about fast and responsive! I discovered a chip in my windshield when I got into my car at 7:58 am, called them at 11:00 am, arranged to have them meet me in the parking lot of my doctor's office because I had an appointment at 3:00 pm (hey, I like to multi-task!) and everything was fixed and done promptly. Even better, Allstate, my insurance, covered the cost of the repairs and called them, taking care of the paperwork all over the phone. Jeff and his brother are super nice, very friendly, very informative, and pointed out I actually had 2 chips in my windshield. I thought it was just bird poop - LOL. The repairs for both was $40 (I don't think they even charged for the second ding) and charged directly to my insurance. Wish life's little dings were always this easy to take care of. read more

Never got service called two different times and left messages. I never got a return phone call to set up any services when I called over a week time frame. Apparently they didn't want my business and I was forced to find someone else. My husband found action through his place of work and since I needed a new windshield for my Honda as the last place that installed my windshield didn't seal it properly, leaving me with cracked window sound when I drove and I dumbly cracked it last winter he gave Jeff a call and he was able to get me a new windshield in a week. It's so awesome that they were able to come to my place and fix not only the windshield but the gaskets as well so I no longer have that annoying sound when I drive. The price was way less than what I paid for four years ago on that mediocre replacement where the individuals then went to "fix" the seal but only filled it with some sort of adhesive and the sound was still there. After my car rear window was broken in, I called a couple of garages here in Reno and one of them recommended i call Action Glass. I did call and spoke to Jeff, who quickly gave me a quote but sadly the proper model of window for my car was not in stock in Reno. After several phone calls with Jeff, he suggested that the fastest way to fix my car (not fun to drive with a broken window) would be to find the closest dealership who could source the part. The dealership in Reno could get the part in 48 h and since Jeff was close by when the part arrived, he even went to pick it up himself. The ford dealership referred me to Action Glass, and it was not successfull. I had a broken slider window on the back of the pickup. What a great place! I called around to several places most quoted me closer to $100 to fix the chips in my windshield, and the wait was going to be several days. This guy/place does really good & fast work. I was given their name and number by Reno Vulcanizing Works. They were only going to charge $39 for the first chip fix and $15 for the additional one. The price was way below other quotes. This included coming out to my work/home and saving me the trouble of taking the vehicle to them. When they got here, they took 20 minutes to fix the chips in the windshield. They were super fast. They were available before any of the other repair places were. I even ended up not having to pay because they told me that the car insurance companies often pay for chips. I called the insurance company got the authorization like they suggested and ... it was al taken care of. I highly recommend this place! They're super! read more

My windshield chipped and cracked recently. I called my insurance, glass repair was not covered and they quoted a price through their primary preferred provider. The quote seemed high to me and decided to call around and found Action Glass. They provided a quoted and completed the work the next day for around half the price my insurance originally quoted. While removing the windshield they noticed rust, which was the result of a previous replacement. They cleaned and primed the area to arrest the problem. They also used the highest quality glass, the same product originally used and installed by Subaru. They are extremely friendly and pay attention to the work that they do and provided great service at a reasonable price. Since I was paying cash for a new windshield (too high ins deduct) thought I would check out Yelp & chose a seemingly smaller 'local' guy. Jeff answered right away, gave me an immediate quote, appt the next day, replaced the windshield at my work site & probably fit the glass better than the original.
