We chipped our windshield for the second time in the last 6 months on our way to Tahoe and yelp messaged summit to get a quote. We booked an appointment for the next day and they were waiting for us when we arrived. They were super fast! Randy fixed our windshield and we also talked to the owner Chris. They were super friendly and fast as we waited in the car. Less than 15 mins and we were on our way. This fix was priced way better than our last one and you could immediately tell the work quality was much better. We definitely will be back next time but hopefully not for a while. This was the most painless experience I have ver had getting my windshield replaced... I requested a quote through Yelp, was quoted almost 1/2 as much as 2 other companies in less than 5 minutes, scheduled an appointment same day and had a brand new beautiful windshield by the end of the day. They gave me a time frame between 1-3 and showed up to my house close to 1:15, which almost never happens with time frames! They were friendly and efficient and the new windshield was done in less than 30 minutes. I was able to fulfill the payment via square space on my phone while I was waiting and they gave me a receipt with a 90 day guarantee. They have great customer service and pride in their worksmanship. I'm so glad I didn't use the default service provider used by my auto insurance. Their price was comparable to what was quoted by Safelite, so insurance accepted my request to use Summit Glass. So instead of me having to drive into Reno and wait around for hours to get my windshield replacement installed and recalibrated with Safelite, Summit Glass said they would come to my home and pickup my car, do the work, recalibrate in their shop and then deliver my car back to my home. They were so nice and did a great job, sooner than the other provider could have scheduled me. They also offer the same warranty that the insurance company required. Will definitely use Summit again in the future, when needed. Two thumbs up! Our windshield hot hit by something on the way to Tahoe, and a tiny chip quickly developed into a crack across most of the windshield. We called several local places in Truckee for help, but they were all booked. Summit said they were pretty booked, but still made time to fit me into their schedule and met us within a few hours. Repair was done in about 30 minutes--looks great and going strong a month later. The team was courteous, on time, and explained the process clearly. I requested quotes from a number of business on Monday morning when my windshield cracked on my way to work. Summit and one other place got back to me quickly. The place I was targeting never got back to me at all. I had read a lot of reviews from other places where people were charge $250. I assume because that is the common deductible if claiming on your insurance. Anyway, Summit Glass quoted a price of $165 and gave me a window of either 10-12 or 2-4pm that same day as well as some windows the next day. That was when I noticed they were mobile. Perfect! I was stressed figuring out when I was going to have time to take it in to be fixed. I went with the 2-4pm window. They called me around 1:15 and said they could come early. They arrived by 1:30 and completed the job by 2:30. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Summit Glass for uick, easy, and affordable repairs. We were driving up to resort at squaw when our sunroof just popped out of nowhere and shattered. I was taking my first mommy daughter trip with my 4 year old for the first time and so this freaked me out and then the pain of making sure we were going to be safe driving 3 hours to home. I called several car repair places and they were giving me instructions to go to hardware store on how to temporarily secure it myself - I didn't have time to do that given my limited time with my daughter and not being from the area and not wanting to drive my car. I knew I wasn't worth their time given I wasn't calling for an actual repair. So I called this place, and the woman on the phone (Sally) was super helpful n empathetic. Then Chris arrived the next morning to help tape up and wrap our sunroof so no chards would go flying off and so it wouldn't potentially have glass falling into the car while driving. He didn't even charge us for the effort of driving to us and taping up the window. As a woman who often deals with cat repair places, I felt an immediate trust with this place and felt taken care of.
