This shop isn't even close to where the car is held but I was somewhat in the area in West Plano. So many of these shops are just so terrible and want you to come in so they can rip you off and not be transparent. I'm helping my friend to get her vehicle repaired and one thing I have learned during this process is that shop after shop are rude, dismissive, vague in my expected fees and if their diagnostic will even diagnose the issue with certainty....most people are probably okay with this and will just pick a shop and take their chance. I would rather rent my friend a vehicle and find a shop that's going to business the right way. When enough shops open that are customer service focused, transparent about their process, and don't charge prices that are a ripoff (if an independent shop is charging prices comparable to a dealer, that's a ripoff) - they are going to take market share and hopefully end up shutting down shops like this one. Busca otro sitio.

They've all ranged from never-going-back-again to not bad, but Reed's Car Care has definitely been the best of them all. I took my beloved 1995 Geo Prizm there recently to get her all fixed up -- she needed not only an oil change but new brake pads and several other things as well. Reed's crew took care of my car and understood that -- although I have a much newer Hyundai back home -- this was my pride and joy. I've taken care of her for years, babying her and making sure that she got all the maintenance she needed, and then some. I want to keep driving her until she collapses in my arms, and Reed's made sure that she was back in business within hours after I dropped her off. The staff there are friendly and professional, and Reed himself makes sure that he's available if a customer has any questions or concerns. I've seen everything from a workhorse Ford F-150 there to a classic Mustang to a DeLorean (!!) in their shop -- their reputation is such that people who love their cars trust Reed's staff to know how to take good care of them. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for auto repair work done in Irving and the Mid-Cities.
