We hate the buying car process. So much so that we tend to keep cars for a very long time before trading up. After my experience with Hamed at Autobahn Gallery our feelings have changed. We were looking at cars at the "No Haggle" site online and found a few that met our criteria: Two years or younger, mileage of 20K or less, and a warranty. After locating a few we decided to vet the pricing. That's how we stumbled across Autobahn Gallery. They had a fantastic one year old Mercedes with 17K, a warranty, and a very competitive price. We drove up from San Jose to see this car on a Sunday. Hamed met us on the lot, asked if he could help us. When we pointed out which car we were interested in he immediately informed us that we should look at the Carfax on it because it had been involved in a fender bender (we had seen this online before visiting and appreciated his forthrightness). He then gave us the keys and then left us alone. After viewing the car I took his business card and stated that I would get back to him. Early the next morning I called Hamed's cell. He picked up (although he"s not a morning person), Answered my questions regarding trade-in, financing, and timing. No pressure, no games. When I arrived, he copied my drivers license, gave me the keys, and said enjoy. After the (solo) test drive I loved the car and decided to buy. KBB said I could get $3k more for my trade-in than his wholesale database said that he could get for it. So we quickly agreed to meet in the middle. I felt that fair value for his car was slightly less than he was asking. He agreed, stated that he wasn't going to upset me by haggling. We shook hands. While he was running the credit check I informed his that my bank was willing to give me 2.8% financing. He came back at 2.39%. Dealers can make money by charging higher interest rates on financing. I would have been content if he would have just matched my banks rate. All-in-all, it was an outstanding experience. The lot was full of high-end, high quality cars. Hamed was forthright about the status of his vehicles. There was no pressure and none of the tiring back and forth of haggling with the sales person. And to top it all off the financing was excellent. read more

I walked in to see the 2008 Bentley Continental Flying Spur. I was greeted when I entered and was allowed to sit in and inspect the automobile I was thinking of purchasing on Friday. My husband walks in, mind you we are both African American and are dressed very casual. We happen to be driving a car we purchased for our daughter. As my husband walks in to inspect the Bentley and sits down in it, the sales guy darts over to him and say we don't allow folks to sit in the car. Then he ran over to his friend and made a negative comment about us. Do I think it was typical racial profiling? Yes! I plan on purchasing my Bentley for cash this weekend and was hoping not to have to go to Los Altos since I live in Dublin. The service in Los Altos was superior and they never judged my husband and I because we had on sweat pants. I would never buy a car from autobahn or recommend it to my colleagues. As the CEO of a startup, I wanted a nice car to impress investors and clients. I've researched this car for over a year and liked the one at Autobahn however the racist sales guy really pissed me off by disrespecting my husband. I recently purchased a 2012 Ford Transit from Autobahn. Great condition, low mileage vehicle. So far so good - she runs like a top and has served me extremely well as a full-time work truck. The sale was a painless experience, as the vehicle was priced extremely competitively. I'd been searching for a 2011-2012 Transit for a month, and most had high price tags, high mileage and undesirable customization. Autobahn Gallery knew what they had and priced it to sell, to my benefit. 07/30/16 Edit: I traded in the vehicle I purchased at Autobahn Gallery - unfortunately Autobahn misrepresented the 2012 Transit. When I saw an accident on the CarFax, I asked specifically about it. I was told in no uncertain terms that there was "no structural damage" to the Transit. I asked a 2nd time, and the salesman at Autobahn went so far as to open the hood, and point to specific points of the frame and support cross bracings and say, "this is what you need to look for, and they're original, and undamaged." The dealership I just traded the vehicle in to yesterday produced a CarFax that showed structural damage. That lie cost me roughly $2K in trade-in value. for this reason I am lowering my formerly favorable review to reflect the deliberate dishonesty. The purchase was still a reasonably fair deal, but the dishonestly leaves a very, very bad taste. read more

We bought a GL450 "as is" with no extended warranty, assuming it was a reliable truck that would not break IMMEDIATELY after leaving the lot. The next day, ended up needing New AC Compressor, front air strut, 2 rear shocks, ABS speed sensor, wheel alignment, and tire balancing. However, my main issue, is that they should not have let my very pregnant wife drive the car if they knew there was SERIOUS SUSPENSION PROBLEMS! I do not believe they did not know about the air suspension issues before hand. I will buy my next Mercedes elsewhere! read more
