Most recently, I ordered two OEM liftgate supports for my vehicle, and they arrived very quickly. When I went to pick them up, I asked the associate, Daniel G., how to install them. He explained that it was very simple and only required a flathead screwdriver to remove the old ones and snap the new ones into place. He even offered to install them for me, and it literally took about five minutes. My auto repair shop had told me it would take 30 minutes and cost $45, so I was really grateful for the help. Another time I came in with what I thought was an alternator or starter issue after receiving incorrect information from an auto repair shop nearby. Daniel let me know they had an OBD2 scanner available and helped check the codes on my car. The scan showed a battery code and not a starter code/ issue, which helped point me in the right direction. He also recommended that I purchase a good OBD2 scanner for future diagnostics and even told me where I could find one, even though they didn't have one available for sale. I stopped by for a quick air check, but the line was surprisingly long with only one station available, so plan on waiting. It took me 30 minutes just to get my tire checked. A gentleman (whose name started with "L") found a nail in my tire and said it could be fixed, but it would take an hour. I decided to stay. Inside, I waited another 15 minutes just to get checked in. Miguel re-checked my car, added me in as a walk-in, and also recommended replacing my windshield wipers. I agreed. An hour passed, and my car still hadn't been touched. I stood in line again to ask for an update -- things were chaotic. The system showed my car hadn't even entered the queue, and to make matters worse, they couldn't locate my keys. Apparently, several people were quoted incorrect wait times. The lack of communication between the front desk and service team was obvious and frustrating. Even though dissatisfied my car ended up getting serviced and everything was properly fixed. I won't go back to this location because it seems everything is unorganized. The purchase experience was relatively good. But I liked the old shop and was disappointed when they relocated to the "Auto Show," and I was a bit put off by how posh the new location is. I associated the lux design and amenities with inflated maintenance and repair prices. It didn't help that, initially after the relocation, the Service dept couldn't find my extended warranty info, because of new systems and having switched to a different provider. And although I usually suffer from some level of sticker shock when I first get service estimates, Mark Mazda has proven itself to be honorable, trustworthy, and fair. They have also been generous. Not only did they find my original extended warranty documentation but years later covered the full cost of a major repair that the warranty company wouldn't pay for. Time and again, they have gone above and beyond to ensure that my car is safe, operating at the highest level, and looking good. In sum, the Service team's professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction, and the technicians' expertise and commitment to doing quality work, keep me coming back. When I ran into financial issues and needed to delay a payment by just a few days, I was met with terrible customer service and zero understanding. That kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. The staff, especially Tino and Frank, were extremely rude and disrespectful. Tino made threatening and harassing comments, and Frank was mouthy, dismissive, and out of line when I tried to call and work out a solution. It's clear they don't care about their customers once the sale is made. I work hard for my money and take care of my bills.
