This place is the real deal. They're booked a few weeks out from how busy they are. I had an emergency and Sham was able to take me in. He is honest and very clear on what needs to be done. His motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" If you're anywhere near his shop, definitely make the trip, whether you need an oil change or a major fix. They're also super diligent. About two weeks ago, I ran over a pretty fat nail on my way to work with my rear left tire. The tire went from about 34 PSI to around 22 PSI over the course of 8 hours. The next day, I called about getting a tire patch and Jay told me to come in and they'll see what they can do. I brought my car in and Jay and one of the other gentlemen working took my car in and patched up the tire within 30 minutes. I, unfortunately, don't typically carry cash on me so I didn't have the cash to pay for the service. I just thought I could've paid by card, but no matter! Jay told me "don't worry about it. Just take care of it whenever you're in the area again!" I'm sorry, what!? I mean, of course I was going to pay for the service. So I left to an atm and returned and paid for the tire patch. This review is over-due! I just have to thank all past reviewers - it's because of you that I have found this gem! Everything everyone has previously said is true - there's a reason Auto Technik has 5 Stars! I took my husband's car and my car in for oil changes and tire rotations at the end of June/beginning of July. I interacted mostly with Sham and he was excellent! I had a weird piece of black rubber/plastic hanging down from the front of my car & asked if they could check into it and see if it was fixable. I always wait in the waiting room for my oil changes and Sham keeps me updated on my car's progress and lets me know the estimated charges before they get to work. After the oil change, he has me come into this office and he reviews everything - I mean everything! It's AMAZING!!!!!! First of all, he lets me know they were able to re-attach the black thing for FREE! (Like, what?!) And then he goes into detail on my tires - he lets me know they need to be replaced and WHY they need to be replaced. He also recommends a place to go to that other customers have had good experiences at. I've only lived in CA for two years, so this was extremely helpful! Not only that, but he puts ALL of the detailed notes on the receipt! So you don't have to have a perfect memory or take notes to remember what he said! This in itself is GOLD! (Can you tell I'm detail oriented?) I can't say enough great things about Auto Technik! They truly treat their customers with respect and kindness and go the extra mile - which is extremely difficult to find in an auto shop! Last weekend, my car was starting hard so I called Sham on Monday to see if I could bring my car in - they were crazy busy, but he scheduled an appointment for me a few days later. Cheers to finding a reliable auto shop that is local and AAA certified. I used to take my car to the dealership 25 miles away so I needed a good mechanic who was local and I found Jay. Let me start by saying before I decided to come to Auto Technik I had called three other local Chino AAA certified shops for price quotes. Jay was the only one who gave me a direct no nonsense answer. I definitely appreciated that as the other three gave me a range some up to $200-400 dollars which I found suspicious. I made an appointment and it didn't take him longer than 15 minutes for him to in-take my car. The price he quoted on the phone was the same price he quoted at the shop. I really appreciated the fact that he did not defer from his said quoted price. I wasn't hassled by up charges or other fees, everything was very direct. The charges included a complete break check for the front and back breaks and pads for only the back breaks $145 total. I dropped off my car at 11:30 am and picked it up at 3:30 pm. The service was surprisingly fast. When I got my car the price he had quoted $145 and the total sans taxes were the same. I was very happy with the service as there were no air in the breaks from the sound and the car ran smoother. I felt the shop to be reliable and honest with the overall best prices. I am going to bring my car to him for all services now. There is a reason this shop has five star reviews honesty begets loyal customers! This is an honest review. Based off of customer service. Everything seemed great until....... I was charged 100 for a vehicle inspection. The day of inspection I waited hours for my car. Ive waited hours for my car before at shops this was no different. The main guy behind the desk gave me a quote. After quoting me, I asked for an appointment. This was in June 2020. He said TO CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE HE HAD ANOTHER CUSTOMER WAITING. So the fact that I couldn't make an appointment RIGHT THERE IN PERSON BLEW ME AWAY! I mean if you have customers waiting then let them WAIT. I left without making an appointment. I left feeling disregarded. I didn't yelp right away because I was angry. Jay and sham are no questions asked, the nicest and most importantly the most honest mechanics out there. I can proudly say I have been taking my families cars to them for over 15 years. *****Let me tell you a story***** once upon a time my car made this banshee / bat from hell sound when i backed it out of my driveway. Thinking it couldn't be that bad I moved it a few more inches. The sound was so loud and deafening that the neighbors woke up and ran outside!!! Asking if someone died they all told me to NOT move that car again. So I called my buddy who has AAA platinum and begged him to tow my car 50+ miles to Chino to Jay. He called me crazy and stated he didn't want to waste 1 of his unlimited tows on something like this. I told him I would give him $100 bucks if he obliged but at that point he acquiesced since he could tell how desperate I was and therefore could only imagine how bad the BMW was. Fast forward a few hours and the car is towed on a flat bad (tow truck driver had me move the car a few inches and said DAMM your screwed that's going to be expensive) all the way from Los Angeles to Chino. Jay meets me in the front and I tell him the story. He calmly waits for the car to be lowered and says I will take it around the block. I scream NOOOO but hes already moving it a few inches and then stops, gets out of the car and frowns. I take this to mean that its going to be over the $$$ I was expecting. I mean if you heard the sound you would have sworn the car was about to rip itself to pieces or explode. I mean any person would have cried knowing that it would have been better if their car got stolen rather than having to pony up so much money for something that just appeared out of no where. 5 minutes later he comes back to me and says try it now. LIKE VOODOO MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DEATH SCREAM GONE!!!! CAR DOESNT SHAKE!!! So feeling really embarrassed at this point I ask how the hell did he fix it? The answer was that a 1 in a Million chance, a piece of jagged metal jumped in between the caliper and brake pad and lodged itself into the mechanism which caused the death scream and vibrations. I asked him how much and he laughed and told me to have a great day looks like you were stressed enough. 10 STARS!!! I mean with no hesitation was I ready to pay over $2000+ , but honest and caring is exactly what that is. That's the reason why I had a car towed past hundreds if not thousands of other shops to get to Jay and Sham. The last honest and caring auto shop that I have had the utmost privilege of being a customer!!!! *****End Unbelievable Story***** I worked at dealership for most of my life and I NEVER took my own car to our own service lane because they are so inherently crooked. Let me educate you on how it works at a dealership. The service writer is a sales person not a mechanic! Let me say that again the person helping you can't even change their own oil or tire. They are paid on a commission based on the overall ticker repair amount. That's why they are always nicer to you when you spend more money rather than when you come in for warranty repairs or just an oil change.
