Beware!!! The mechanics take your car apart and don't put everything back the way it was brought in. My car has several screws missing, a couple of missing fender plastics missing and undercarriage pieces not clipped back on. I was driving home and could hear the plastic under my engine flapping. They also put one headlight lower than the other and not lined up with the hood. My grill was loose half clipped on. It's discouraging going to this place thinking you will get your car back with all the cosmetic pieces it had prior. After finding all of these issues, wait there is still more someone in the shop put a dent on my driver door even paint chipped off. Never coming here again, I do not recommend. read more

Called beforehand to ask about brining in my car to get diagnosed on a headlight issue, something they said they could definitely do. Hate to be the one to write a bad review but I took my vehicle to Star Tech Foreign Auto Repair hoping to get great results but instead I received very rude customer service from Khaled father my vehicle needed an upper and lower oil pan replacement so I took it into the shop. My vehicle is lowered and they took the job on but once I got it back it still had an oil leak. I took it back because of warranty but then they started to blame me for my vehicle being so low that I must of hit the oil pan but my vehicle isn't leaking from my oil pan it has no cracks! I am a very careful driver when I am on the road. It was leaking from the silicone gaskets. They finally agreed to redo my silicone seal but not worth all the headaches and ropes I had to jump for them to agree to use my warranty, received my vehicle back so far so good don't see any oil leak let's hope it stays that way! I would not recommend going to the shop if you want to be greeted with rude customer service from the father he is the main reason I am so upset. read more

I have a Mercedes E class. I had a red battery light come on so I took my car to star tech foreign auto repair where I normally go for repairs. I usually deal with the Dad very polite, great man, honest but today I was dealing with the son Khalid . So I went in to get my battery checked one worker Sam took it to the back to go check it next thing I know Khaled comes up to the front tells me that I need a new battery and it's gonna be $400 so I say OK I'm gonna come back later and we can replace it, then as he goes to Get my car. He comes back and says my car 's not working. It's not turning on. I need a new alternator $1200 before even checking on how much parts are or how long it will take for labor. He just threw out the number $1200 so after that I stepped out I told him I'd let him know I'm going to me make some phone calls. I called around to three other places that work on Mercedes & foreign cars . Star Tech was by far the highest easily. The three other quotes were $ 895, $760 and $650 which is a big huge difference from the original price($1200) that Khalid told me. So I called back Star Tech and let him know that I found some other prices and that he was way higher than everyone else at that point he finally asked what year was your car? What was the make and model so he can look up the part price and then came back and told me that he could do it for $900 Which is still higher than everybody else's so after all that I took my car to another place, and he had the nerve to call the place that I took my car too and complained to them and told them that their taking his business I ended up saving $550 and my car is back to normal So I would watch out for this place on pricing once they give you a quote I would call around and do some research SCAMMER for sure read more

Situation: Instead of going to the beach this morning, I noticed the "Service Engine Soon" light on after starting my car. After checking the reasons for this indicator and crawling under the car to see if any of the parts for the catalytic converters were stolen. Luckily the undercarriage covers were still intact. The 328i convertible is not my daily driver and has been sitting outside of the house for about 3 weeks. By coincidence, I looked up for the nearest BMW 3rd party mechanic in google maps to find "Star Tech Foreign Auto Repair." Driving there I expected to pay a fee to merely look at the car and a quote in the thousands to possibly repair or replace the catalytic converter, oxygen sensor, or whatever is needed for this system. Surprisingly, after 15 minutes from handing over my keys, the mechanic returned my car to tell me he had reset the oxygen sensor, instructed me to continue to drive the car, and if the "service engine soon" light indicator comes back on, drop it off at the shop overnight for a detailed analysis. That was it. I was on my way without any cost. Zippo, nada, squat, nothing! Took the car and drove on my way. You can't get better service than this! Honesty, Integrity, and Timely Service! A little background, I have been always taking my cars to get the maintenance done at the dealership ONLY for at least 10+ years since I was cheated by many local shops back then and sometimes even got scammed by the mechanic working for that shop who told me to bring the car to his home for a cheaper price and surely, I was young and poor, I did what he told and got scammed. Surprisingly I didn't feel that way when I talked to Khaled (correct me if I got your name wrong). But seriously, I will choose the convenience of going to one place for help with our cars, that is much more local to me, and 50% the cost of the dealer. I had a check engine light on my 2015 Audi q5 and a whistling noise, and I had 3 weeks to have it smogged, I been taking it to the Audi dealer's , but I was tired of them charging me an arm and a leg , anytime I had a problem, so I was looking at yelp , for a independent foreign car shop and found Star Tech, they had great reviews and said they were honest , so I called , and they said bring it in , so they can check it out they put it on the scanner, and told me what it was, at no charge, this was on a Friday, they told me to bring it in Monday morning , cause they were busy , and it was gonna take a day to fix it , and they're closed on the weekend, so I did , dropped it off , and it was done Tuesday morning , they said I had to drive it 200 miles so it could reset it self , so I did, and took it to smog, but it wasn't ready , so I called Khalid, and he told me to bring it in , Sam took it for a drive , he said you have to drive the Audi's a certain way , so it could recognize and reset, after about 15 minutes he brought it back and checked it on the scanner and he said it's ready to smog, so I took it back to the smog station and it passed, Star Tech is a hour away from me , but it was worth the drive, they did a great job on my Audi, it's been over a month and no problems, thank you!
