They were good and fair. A little hard to pull in and out of but maybe that keeps them the hidden secret. I will be back.

I wrote this same review for another site but it's worth reposting here. I've been going to Auto Surgeon for a long time now. For the most part, I have had decent luck going to other local mechanics in the area, with a couple of glaring exceptions, but decided to check out Auto Surgeon since it's pretty close to where I live. And now, I won't go anywhere else. Kevin, the owner, is a fantastic guy who has always done right by me. He's an excellent mechanic who has worked on at least four of my vehicles over the years. My engine started overheating while I was in the middle of a drive so I had to bring my vehicle in for repair. The people here were very forward about what they would need to do and what it would cost me. It's been about a month now and my engine is still working great. read more

Had engine rebuilt there after 12000 miles having coolant issues head gasket I know it was past the warranty but shouldn't have these issues after 12000 miles wouldn't do anything for me never have your engine rebuilt there. First my valve cover gaskets water pump leaking oil pan seal and head gasket problem had to replace engine waste of time and money. Won't go there again. read more

This is my first yelp review but I felt I had to give my review on this business! With the onset of cold weather coming on, I found that my heater on the driver side would not heat up. Of course many scenarios run through as far as is this going to be a simple problem or one where the news given is that you may want to sell your car. I was able to get an appointment quickly plus when I dropped off my car, Kevin was able to find the problem within minutes. This is where I had to send in my review. I asked if I could sit and wait for the car to be fixed as I could tell it wasn't going to take that long. But Kevin offered to either drive me home or he'd just loan me a car to use since I did not live too far. In this day and age, for people to offer above and beyond is unexpected and I was so very appreciative of his offer to help. I am sure they can't always offer a car, but I saw in other reviews that they do offer to help people get to their destination. Jose and Kevin are incredibly skilled auto mechanics and technicians. More importantly, they are very honest. I had another shop tell me I needed breaks and these guys showed me 40% of the pad was remaining. I had a fuel evap line leak. They quoted me $84 for a diagnostic which I approved. The same day they fixed the car and billed me $84 total with parts. These guys are class acts and offer incredible service. Don't pay outlandish rates for dealer service departments when you can be treated better for less. If your car is out of warranty, see these guys! read more

Finding a great mechanic is always a challenge, finding a trustworthy place is even harder. My husband and I are thrilled with all of the work that we have had done at The Auto Surgeon. Living in Eagle and working in Meridian makes getting to them a bit of a challenge, but it's definitely worth the inconvenience. We have even paid to have a car towed all the way over there from Eagle, because we knew they would take care of us. These guys are great mechanics and we will continue to be loyal customers, we highly recommend them for all of your auto care needs, but only if you like to be treated with respect, given fair pricing, and like to have your car in trustworthy and capable hands. read more

I took my car here on Friday after it had been making a weird clicking noise for over a week. Knowing nothing about cars myself, I took it in to see if it was something I should be concerned about. They took it for a drive to hear the noise and said that it sounded like my left axle could be breaking and to bring it back Monday and they would have time to get it fixed then. I was given a reasonable pricing estimate, so I was glad that this problem wouldn't be too big of a fix. Monday comes and I bring my car to The Auto Surgeon as I had set up. They gave me a ride to work so I wouldn't have to struggle with transportation without a car for a day - which was so nice! The person who drove me was very nice and friendly and we had a good conversation on the short drive to my work. When he dropped me off, he told me they would give me a courtesy call when the car was done that afternoon. When the call came in from The Auto Surgeon they told me they had some news on my car, so I was expecting the worst. Come to find out it wasn't the left axle like they thought, but just lugnuts coming loose on my front left tire, so they tightened those up and my entire service would be free of charge! I was beyond happy! Usually when you go to a mechanic they find more wrong than they thought, but not here. What honest and pleasant service. I will definitely be coming back here the next time something goes wrong with my car, and I would urge anyone else to do the same! read more

Twice they've had our truck in for repairs and I am so happy with them! Two different issues, fantastic, above and beyond service. Today they came to my home and got the keys to our truck, went and picked it up from the place where we had to leave it when the alternator died, repaired it (in less than 5 hours) and charged us less than we expected to pay. Broke down on a trip in a Saab. Fixed same day. Believe all the other five star comments. Truly a superb person and mechanic.

I brought my Toyota in for a diagnostic in Feb 16. I had a knock coming from the engine. The service manager gave me a diagnosis taht the engine had damage in the lower end, bearings or journal being the issue. I asked if he was certain , he replied that he had seen it before. He then told me on options to rebuild and replace the engine. I about layed an egg on the spot, 70 k and needing a rebuild?????!!! After spending a weekend feeling terrible I found out on monday that it was a bad waterpump. Wish I could get my weekend back. That says it all read more

Kevin was so professional and helpful. My daughter is a student from out of state at BSU and her car stopped running. Kevin not only facilitated the tow to his shop for us, but had it fixed the next day for an extremely reasonable rate. This shop is definitely one you can trust. We were out of state and desperate to get our daughter help and they could have pulled a number on us and we would have never known. I went to Auto Surgeon because of a good review, my son's car had a check engine light on and was running rough. They had it for a week and did a new radiator and intake manifold gasket, after they put it back together I was told the head gasket was leaking at #4 cylinder. I asked Jose if he had done a compression check, he said no but used a bore scope and was pretty confident thats all it was. 2 weeks later and $1700.00 dollars later my son picks it up. He lives less than 1/2 block away and didn't even make it home and it was running rough and check engine light was flashing. After Jose made excuses that the #4 cylinder had a problem and thats why the light was on. Kevin agreed to take another look at it, I was told the valves were too tight and needed to be sent to a machine shop. So another $500.00 more and the car is finally running. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. They misdiagnosed it and they know it. They actually had the balls to ask my son for a good review. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I have worked in automotive my whole life and I know when someone is trying to cover their ass read more
