Honest, straightforward Porsche repair. They don't work on anything else. Just the Porsche 911. If you have a 944... they will not do them here. I would not say they are extremely priced, instead, they are fair and very easy to deal with. Work was quick and accurate. It seems too they are well connected with many other local auto related businesses in the area. Robert is a fantastic person, very nice.. and helped me get through a difficult solution on Saturday when I got stuck just two blocks away. I think my car knew where to have a problem. I bought a used, high mileage 2007 997 and after doing a quick internet search, called Auto Strasse for an oil change. Robert and I talked about the car for a bit, I told him what I knew and he told me it shouldn't take too long, he'd call me later. After just a couple of hours I went to pick it up, he'd gone through the car, written a list of what he'd found (there were some coolant leaks, missing air dams, etc), did a far more extensive oil flush than we had discussed (found some shavings) and didn't charge me any extra than the original oil change. He gave me some great advice and driving tips for my car, told me to keep an eye on my coolant level, and I drove away feeling confident with my purchase and my new mechanic. The coolant level dropped pretty quickly so I came back to the shop and they got to work replacing coolant lines. No leaks since. Some time later I embarrassingly overfilled the oil reservoir, called Robert right away and he told me not to worry and just bring it in whenever I could. He drained the oil, looked for shavings (none), told me about my brakes (%'s front and back) and I drove away happy again. Robert and the AutoStrasse crew have been a great find for me. read more

I was very pleased with my visit to Auto Strasse today. Robert is a fantastic mechanic and tells you straight up what is on going with your car. I had just purchased a 2001 Porsche Turbo and wanted to get an idea of the condition of the undercarriage, suspension, exhaust, leaks, etc.. He went beyond my expectations and checked all fluids, filters, battery first. He did an excellent job telling me what condition all my fluids were in, and told me I could wait on changing brake fluid, oil, etc.. An honest guy, I have to say. My story can be minimum of 5 pages but I will try to make it short and sweet. After being ripped off at another Porsche Mechanic in lake forest for just the head work and spending near 12k , the engine gave up. I was introduced to Robert by a friend and I did my research online and visited Auto Strasse few times to get a feel of what this shop can deliver. After 3 months of my research I pulled the plug and asked them to replace my engine. The engine was replaced on my car around 150k and it's been running like a clock. Auto Strasse only works on Porsches which is one of the key points that was important to me. The clean work environment, amazing service, amazing staff at Auto Strasse have gained my trust and I will not trust another shop anywhere else. These guys know their stuff when it comes to Porsches. It is amazing how most of the reviews for Auto Strasse Corp have the word "HONEST" in it. An "honest" mechanic is extremely hard to find and I didn't think there really is one until I met Robert. I hardly ever write reviews, but I have to sit down and write one tonight because I truly believe that Robert and his team deserve to be praised for their hard work, integrity & honesty. My husband and I were originally quoted ~ $1,200.00 to fix the front breaks on our 911 Porsche. We made an appt to get our car fixed, ready to pay around $1K for our breaks. But to our surprise, the final bill came out to be around $400.00. Robert said that we didn't need to change all parts for our breaks, only some of it needed replacement. Robert could have gotten ~$1,000.00 from us, but he chose to do only what was needed to save us money. Now that's an amazing honest mechanic! read more

I was visiting Orange County from Northern California. My 1999 Boxster was overheating and I didn't know where to take it. Auto Strasse was favorably reviewed, so I called on Monday morning to see if they could help me. Robert was very helpful right from the beginning - told me to bring it right in and he would look at it. He diagnosed the problem (leaky coolant tank) almost immediately and assured me he could have it fixed for me by the end of the day. He was very thorough, fixed the problem as promised and had me back on schedule to return home the next day. He was professional, very knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. As a bonus, it turned out that he was several hundred dollars less than the dealer for this service. You can't ask for more than that. Very good and reasonably priced. Due to a large number of issues I encountered with my Cayenne one bad year, I had the misfortune of having to visit the dealer in Newport and number of independent places quite a few times. Auto Strasse totally rescued me. I live 55 miles away and was in their area on business. The belt to my alternator broke and I was stranded. I called first thing in the morning when they opened, explained my situation, and they took me in right away. I was fixed and out of there in ~2 hours and at a reasonable price. Had a front turn signal bulb acting up so decided to give the place a try. It turned into a minor project as the bulb was A-OK but the connections were not. so after they diagnosed and corrected a check engine light last year, i returned to them for my 80k service. the level of detail and care they take in my Turbo is second to NONE. avoid the dealership and only use these guys. take a look around the shop while you're there at the variety and rarity of the P-Cars under their care.
