At the time, I had been saving up for a brake upgrade and decided to reach out via Instagram (as suggested on their page) back in 2024. I received an automated response, but unfortunately never heard back. Life got busy, and I eventually forgot about it. Had a smart key that unexpectedly failed on my Mom as she was having lunch. Luckily, she wasn't far away and was able to bring her the spare key. Called our local MB dealer only to be told that I would have to drop off the car for them to diagnose even though I explained in detail what happened. They wanted $325 just to diagnose the issue. Called another independent MB shop who was able to diagnose the issue (bad key) but referred me to a locksmith who would make a new key but that it would be an aftermarket one. That is when I remembered seeing videos on IG of Star Motor Werks and reached out. Geoff responded within 15 minutes and penciled me in the following week. Decided to make the drive down to Star Motor Werks simply due to the fact that they'd make a new key using OEM parts at an affordable price (compared to a MB dealer). They even loaned me their shop car so that I wouldn't have to wait around as I needed to run a few errands. Couldn't be happier with the service and professionalism provided by Geoff and RJ. Would happily drive an hour and half in the future should I need any major maintenance done on our MB. I was referred to Star Motor Werks by buddy of mine where I live in Fresno, CA. He told me that he drives 5-6 hours just to service his C63s and he won't take his car anywhere else. I followed his advice and drove my car down to Costa Mesa and I rented a car from John Wayne airport back to Fresno since my car needs time to get all the services done! I did set up appointment with Denise and I told her that I have to see Geoff.. I saw Geoff and he greeted me and he was very polite and patient while I explained everything what my C63s edition 1 needs. What I like about Geoff that he listen to the customer before he recommends anything. All the minor issues that require attention to detail he was able to fix them that my local Mercedes Dealership couldn't. He did many things, from basic engine oil, transmission & brake fluid as well replacing the spark plugs & gapping them since I got Renntech stage 1 tune.. drive belts, AC recharge, fixing the driver window and rear trunk, replaced car battery and update the infotainment system and few other minor things. I already have Renntech exhaust and exhaust valve monitor and I wanted my car to sound little bit louder. He recommended RedStar catted 200 cel Downpipes with heat shield.. let me tell what! Best mod that I ever done! Sounds absolutely amazing! This is a must for every C63 W205. I highly recommend Geoff and all his staff members as they know what they are doing and Geoff keeps you updated with video clips and explanations. Discovered a rattle in the left quadrant of engine compartment. Geoff diagnosed it as a faulty shock and strut assembly. It was leaking badly. Geoff and his team are awesome!! Very intelligent and are extremely thorough with the work they do. I took my C63S in for Service B, Lowering Springs, Spacers, Struts, and lastly I had the seatbelts replaced for yellow ones... Now onto the tedious install that Geoff and his team had to endure for 3 weeks since the seatbelts were not right multiple times. First the color was off, then the belts came without being in the correct holes from the store I bought them at.. all in all it was a struggle to say the least but Geoff and his team made sure that I was happy with the end result and worked with me on getting it sorted without ever wanting to throw in the towel. Seriously I think Geoff was pretty close though and I don't blame him haha. Also I just want to mention the attention to detail Geoff provides.. not only would he text me pic updates and or FaceTime me, but since I just had my calipers painted I asked him if he could be careful around them. He then texted me back a picture of them fully taped up so nothing could damage them and told me that's standard when preforming work around that area. Never have I received service like that. I recently reached out to Star Motor Werks for an estimate for a front differential service and reseal on my E63S wagon. I had heard about the shop through a friend and the stellar reviews gave me confidence that they would provide top notch care for my vehicle. Geoff and Denise responded quickly to my inquiry and provided a reasonable estimate for the work. I was pleasantly surprised that they were able to schedule me sooner than I expected to have the work done. After dropping off my wagon, they conducted a thorough inspection wagon and identified a few other areas that needed attention. I was most impressed because they identified issues that caused some of symptoms (e.g. uneven tire wear) that were previously identified by the dealer. They provided an estimate for the additional repairs that also allowed for cost savings on the labor charges. I thought the prices were fair for the amount of work that would be done. Geoff provided me with an accurate assessment of the time needed to complete the work and sent video updates to keep me apprised of the progress throughout the week. On the day of the pickup, they also had the car thoroughly cleaned (including the engine compartment) and took time to review all the work that was done and show me the worn parts that were upgraded (even though it was late in the day). Overall, I am extremely impressed by the attention to detail and expertise shown by Geoff and his team at Star Motor Werks. I found Star Motor Werks through Instagram and I am lucky that I found this shop! I started following Geoff's page and I saw how knowledgeable he is with Mercedes and especially AMG cars. I was having issues with my CLS 63 AMG and the local shop near me could not fix the issue. I'm in the Southbay area but I decided to tow my car to Costa Mesa to have Geoff work on it. Best decision I made. Geoff and his team were very detailed and had great communication regarding the various issues he saw with the car. They took pictures and sent them along with their inspection results. After the work was completed, Geoff stayed after closing hours so I pick up my car. Star Motor Werks is my #1 South County shop to handle any and all maintenance repairs. It's the first time having my new AMG at this shop, which has since had a change of ownership from Chris to Geoff. However, the same top quality of service is present as are many of the original technicians, not to mention the overall exacting standards that Chris established prior to moving out of State. Now here's where things get interesting. I came in for a simple oil change with a Liqui Moly flush + additive. Having said that, I'm all about preventative maintenance. Upon completing the standard vehicle inspection Geoff discovered my rear CCB (carbon ceramic brakes) pads were dangerously low and I was at high risk of damaging the rotors, which are somewhere in the neighborhood of $5K to replace. Geoff was able to quickly source the required parts on the same day and had me back on the road in no time. There are many shops that would have simply completed the requested service, but Geoff at Star Motor Werks went above and beyond, looking out for me and my ride. My wallet is grateful. I'm stoked to see there has been zero decline in the level of service that this shop has always had an amazing reputation for. read more

I have never been so in awe and appreciative of a mechanic in my life! When I purchased my 2023 GLB 250 a month ago, I found Star Motor Werks on Yelp and reached out to see if they were available to do a full vehicle inspection to make sure I purchased a quality used car without hidden problems. Having inquired first via Yelp, Geoff and his team were quick to respond and offered a competitive price for the used car vehicle inspection. The day after I purchased my car, Geoff was able to get my car in so he and his well-trained team could thoroughly inspect it. Although the shop is small, they were able to finish the inspection by the end of the day and spent time with my husband and me explaining in detail everything Geoff observed. He emailed and went over a detailed report. After that, he was able to educate us on how to take care of my first Mercedes so it will last a long time. The care and concern, honesty and integrity Geoff displayed was heartwarming. All of the people who work at Star Motor Werks are truly wonderful. Leaving the shop, I felt happy that I purchased this car, confident in the Mercedes brand, and relieved that we discovered our new mechanic for the life of the car. I should have written a Yelp review immediately after this fantastic experience, but a few weeks passed and time got away from me. Unfortunately, less than a month after buying my new Mercedes, I was rear ended at a stoplight on my way to work. I was devastated upon impact, but my car didn't look too bad.
