Hoang and the H-Tech team are a very knowledgeable group in the auto service industry. I had…read moreinitially inquired with many different auto repair shops/dealerships and H-Tech Auto prices came out to be the most reasonable, all while not putting a major dent to my wallet. On the day of the timing belt service for the Acura RDX, I had dropped off the vehicle in the morning and was later notified at a reasonable time (as estimated), that the vehicle was ready for pick-up. Upon arriving at the shop, Hoang took the time to explain what his team had completed (torqued bolts to OEM spec, displayed the condition of the previous belt, etc.) and answered any questions that I had in mind. The quality in the work showed and I wasn't pressured into signing off any additional service work that was not required. I would definitely recommend H-Tech Auto to any family members and friends, if they are ever in need of any auto service repair work that needs be taken care of.

From the moment I walked in, Mr.Hoang's warmth, authenticity and welcome created an incredibly positive environment. He took the time to listen to my needs, as I tried my best to explain the car issues, and thoroughly explained the issues about the car, and proposed effective solutions without making me feel pressured. When I didn't understand something, he would either draw it on paper for me, or better, actually show me what a drain plug looks like and how dirty my air filter was. I learned so much during my time there!! His transparency and honesty instilled a sense of trust, which is often hard to come by in the automotive industry. Moreover, the overall customer service from the entire team was remarkable. When Mr.Hoang said that my drain plug was stripped and hard to come off, he asked what I wanted to do and offered to keep trying to get it off, which thankfully they were able to! Through every step of the way, he was communicating with me and made sure I knew what was happening. The whole team was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. The quality of work done on the car was top-notch and I left the shop feeling confident in their services. I wholeheartedly recommend this local, family-owned car shop to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy automotive care. The combination of technical expertise and genuine customer service is a rare find, making this the best place for car maintenance and repairs. Don't hesite to visit. You won't be disappointed!

Several friends recommended Edward Lee's shop in Sugar Land, near Highway 6 and the Settlers Way area. It's a 30-35 minute drive for me, but I was told Edward is honest and trustworthy, so I decided to get a second opinion. I called on a Mon morning, and Edward mentioned he was pretty busy and suggested I come in on Tues January 6. He had a doctor's appointment that morning and asked us to arrive at 11:15 am, which we did. After explaining the issues, he diagnosed the problem by 12:30 pm and recommended four items to be fixed. The total quote came close to $2K which was more than I expected. His initial assessment aligned with what my former mechanic had said, but additional repairs--especially replacing the spark plugs. While that hurt the budget, I understood the necessity. I had afternoon commitments, so I asked if a loaner car was available. I truly appreciated Edward lending me his Toyota Camry so I could make it to my event. He promised my car would be ready by 5:30 pm and I returned to pick it up as scheduled. Unfortunately, within five minutes of driving, the engine light came on and the car began shaking slightly. I immediately returned, and Edward told me to keep the loaner car overnight and come back on Wednesday so he could run a more thorough diagnostic. On Wed around 11 am, he texted to say the car was ready. I picked it up at 1 pm, and I've been driving it for several days now with no issues. Overall, despite the initial hiccup, I'm grateful Edward was able to take me in, stand behind his work, and ultimately fix my vehicle. His willingness to recheck the issue and provide a loaner car made a stressful situation much easier to manage.

After the repair, the replacement compressor immediately started making a loud noise, and I had to bring my vehicle back. Just three days later, they had to replace the compressor again because of the noise. Before I dropped my vehicle off, there was no check engine light. When I picked it up, the check engine light was on. The shop told me it came on when they started the vehicle. After inspecting it myself, I found the intake sensor near the air filter housing had been left unplugged. I reconnected it myself, but the check engine light later came back with a P0113 code. I also discovered the air filter housing was cracked around the screw mounts, which was not damaged before the repair. Even after paying for the repair, they only fixed the front A/C. The rear A/C still blows hot air, so the problem I brought the vehicle in for was never fully resolved. Instead of leaving with a properly repaired vehicle, I ended up making multiple trips back to the shop, finding workmanship issues myself, and dealing with additional problems after the repair. This experience has cost me time, caused unnecessary stress, and left me with a vehicle that still isn't fully repaired. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop. Before leaving your vehicle anywhere, take photos beforehand and inspect everything carefully before driving away.
