Guy always takes care of my cars and charges a fair price. He can be a little short handed at times but he works hard! And gets you rolling!

Well How the mighty have fallen! Guy used to be the best in town. Honest ,fair,kind.Move forward to today with a bigger garage and wifey at the shop and you have poor quality,rude phone service (if she answers at all or returns your call ) and forget about talking to Guy anymore! You get Guy being snappy and rude and tired and even found asleep on the garage floor! Took my daughters car in for headlight replacement it just fell out twice because Guy didn't remove bumper and install it correctly! Then we moved and found out Guy over tightened the bolt to the oil pan and the wrong oil filter! I mean basic mechanic work here GUY! I won't even go into the shotty work he did putting in my Cadillac converter! Didn't last a month! Very disappointing how money changed such a nice young man. I'll never go back again! read more

My car completely broke down and I had it towed to Guy's told him what happened in 2 days it was fixed and he told us what happened and the price was amazing! I was shocked to find out my car was still working and he inspected the rest of my car and told me not to worry it was fine. I'm pretty ignorant about auto repairs. I went in to this shop with a car issue that gave them a big opportunity to upsell me, but they weren't interested in that. Instead they explained how my issue wasn't a problem at all, and they showed me how to deal with it without repairs. This is by far my favorite car repair shop ever! It was recommended to me by a group of people at my job and I am so happy they did. Guy is one of the best and most honest mechanics out there, which these days is very hard to find. He will let you know exactly what needs replacing and if he has to try and figure it out he keeps you in the loop so you know what is going on and how much it will cost. It isn't the cleanest shop but it's the clean ones I worry about - I feel that is what we are paying for, to have a nice clean place. I had a part in my car go out and another place in the area quoted me at $175 parts/labor. I was able to go to a car parts store and get the part that they were charging me $75 for around $30 then it took him less than 10 min. Instead of the $100 in labor it was going to be he charged me $8. I stopped by his shop the other day to look at my convertible top that is starting to separate from the back glass and leak when it rains. While he can't fix it I went to him because I knew he would give me an honest answer on who the best place is to get it done. I would really suggest that if you are anywhere in the Houston area and can make it to his shop it is really worth it! It will save you both time and money! read more

So my husband drove my 2019 Acadia Denali into the garage when it wasn't fully opened and broke my antenna off. Got a quote from dealership and it was a pretty penny. Went to yelp and called a couple places to get quotes and came across here which had great reviews. Spoke to Guy and he was quick to give me a quote that was 1/3 of the dealership price!! This is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned so I want to be sure it's cared for properly and it looks just as good as the day I got it. When pulling up to the shop it isn't the nicest place you've ever seen and I was a little nervous but I am more than satisfied. We have to support our small businesses. I get the transmission flushed here in my 99 Silverado every couple of years. Sitting in waiting room Is a good way to observe how the customers are treated as they come and go, and as he is talking to customers on the phone. Just opened recently. I was referred to the shop by a friend after the shop I've always gone to closed down. I had taken my car three different places and couldn't get the problem fixed. He was able to fix the problem and have it ready to go by the next day. He discussed with me what he found, what he fixed, assured the service with a one year guarantee and said to call or come by if I have any questions. They do honest, quality and quick work. My wife and I took her car to Guy's Auto Repair after her car supposedly failed the state inspection at Kent Kwik with two different diagnostic codes. They had informed her to drive a certain amount of miles around town to help her diagnostic lights to clear the codes. After driving all over town yesterday, she went to Kent Kwik again and it still failed with same two codes. They referred her to Guy's Auto Repair to check into it further. After we arrived at Guy's the following morning, when we arrived I was a little concerned based on the outside condition of the building and the facility didn't look to promising, but let me tell you something...those looks are deceiving, don't judge a book by its cover. Upon arrival shortly after, one of the mechanics came out to her car and checked it with his diagnostic tool and this time only one code came on. Once done speaking with the mechanic, we went inside and Guy proceeded to tell us that this should not cause my wife's car to fail the car inspection along with a few possible other scenarios that could've caused the problem. After discussing ideas back and forth, Guy told us to take it back to Kent Kwik and that it shouldn't fail with just the one code. My wife took it back to Kent Kwik the same morning and sure enough her car passed with flying colors! I can't tell you enough how impressed I was with Guy's honesty and how he didn't try to up sell you something you don't need. Better yet, he charged us absolutely nothing!! He's fair, honest and highly dependable just like all the 5-star reviews he has gotten so far. We will definitely take our cars to Guy's Auto Repair again as he is a great guy who truly cares for you as a normal customer. The starter in my Civic died on me which didn't seem terrible until I realized it is virtually impossible to change on your own because it is between the engine and the firewall. I shopped around on the phone to get quotes for repair and Guy came in 35% cheaper than the next best deal I could find(which I honestly thought was pretty good before calling Guy). Dropped it off the night before and it was repaired by noonish the next day. You can even buy the parts and take them to him as he charged me the exact price the auto parts store quoted for materials. I will be taking all of my cars here in the future and save a ton of money from now on. read more

This particular place was recommended to me by a true and dear friend...And I must say... Listening to her about coming here was the best thing I have ever done...Guy's is located in Rosenberg...Right off of Ave H... Directly behind Church's Chicken... It's not one of those over hyped fancy shops that's always neat and clean...But you can tell that Guy and his crew are knowledgeable and gets down and dirty...Guy is not out there to make money off you...And tell you things need to be replaced...When they don't...In fact...He would rather save you money...And that's a very rare thing to come from a privately owned mechanic shop...I recently took my Toyota truck to him and told him that I thought the torque converter was going out and needed to be replaced...Which would have cost me several hundred to have replaced...He told me to bring it in and he would check it out for me...He later called me and told me it was only the U-JOINT...And there was no need to replace the torque converter... Which saved me plenty $$$...Other mechanics would have changed the converter and let me drive off...Just to have me come back again to spend more money...Guy does excellent work...And even though I don't live near here...I would travel miles just to come to my reliable mechanic... Guy definitely lived up to the 5 star ratings! After a recommendation and good reviews, I took my truck to him. I had previously taken my truck to 3 mechanics and none of them could figure it out. Less than 24 hrs later, I get a call from Guy who tells me that he has fixed the issue.....simply WOW!!! Extra WOW when he told me what it was and how he fixed it. Its really hard to find an honest mechanic. Initially, we went to the auto repair shop by the reading road apartments and they quoted us 1200 to change the ball joints in my jeep. We went to guy who said we could bring our own parts and labor would be just 325. That's 500 less than the other place! Our jeep is good as new! He also doesn't charge for a diagnosis! read more

Guy is a great guy. My car wouldn't start so I had it towed to Guy's Auto Repair based on Yelp reviews. All previous reviews are legit. Guy's very friendly and he takes the time to listen. He got the car to start and was able to get diagnostic tests run to discover the 2 and 4 cylinders weren't firing. He recommended changing the spark plugs - 3 in front and 3 in back. Pricing was very reasonable - parts at cost plus labor. He had one of his guys give me a ride home as well so I didn't have to wait at the shop. I was able to get work done before I got picked up again with my car purring like a cat. read more

Great experience! I went in for a brake light issue and walked out a happy customer. They looked at my lights immediately and started with installing new bulbs. My vehicle had some issue that caused the tail lights to go out if one light was out. I was out of there in less than 10 minutes! What amazed me the most was that he didn't want to charge me much of anything for the time and parts!! Honest people with good hearts! I will definitely be back for my car needs. I would like to recommend Guy's Auto Repair-truly as good as it gets! The explanation of my experience is simple if you want an honest price for repair Guy's is the place to go. I had a problem with my Ford Explorer that cost half of what the other repair shops around the Water Side area had quoted. Honest, absolutely; let's see the other shops told me that in order to repair my Explorer they had to replace an entire assembly because Ford didn't sell just the subassemblies. Guy found the part (subassembly) I needed and only charged me for that and a fair price on labor, so if you like paying more continue to go to the other places, but if you want a fair honest deal then visit Guy's-he'll treat you right, tell you the truth, and won't cheat you. read more
