Since I do not, the next best thing was finding LA Auto which is Woman owned and Operated to fix my ride! LA Auto was brought to my attention thanks to the Projects feature in the Yelp App. I sent out a request for a job or service and Yelp broadcasted it to businesses to reach out to me concerning the service. I had initially had a different mechanic before LA Auto that was going to do the job, but a price change occurred before the vehicle was in their possession. Decide to nix that mechanic and go back to the drawing board acquiring estimates for the job. By this point, I had already ordered and picked up my parts directly from the dealership so they would match my vehicle. All I needed was the labor to complete the repair. I was really intrigued that there was a Woman owned and operated auto shop in Houston, so I decided to reach back out to the shop about an estimate for labor. My inquiry was Friday afternoon, so I didn't expect to hear back until Monday. Liz, the Owner, however, was in contact with me in and out the entire weekend asking for pictures of the parts to ensure they were correct for the vehicle based on the VIN as well as making sure they didn't need to paint the handles. She gave me a range on the price for the labor, which I could understand because she never saw the vehicle before- only pictures of the damage. We did most of our communication on Monday which offerred a great opportunity for me to get the car fixed that afternoon since she had an opening. I honestly thought I may have to come back another day to get the job completed because EVERY OTHER BODY SHOP I SPOKE TO said I would have to drop the car off just to get an estimate. I did that with one Pearland body shop and received a quote of over a THOUSAND dollars just to fix some handles! They even stated the labor was high because the panels of the car had to be removed. Thanks to Youtube, II knew that was not the case and Liz the owner and my mechanic confirmed my research as she completed the work on the vehicle in less than an hour WITHOUT removing the inside panels. She worked fast and I was even able to see her work from the office which provides a chair or two inside for waiting customers. A/C is blizzard cold inside the waiting area, so bring a jacket. This is not your car dealership waiting room with tvs and refreshments, so bring your own, but Liz worked so fast I didn't need to indulge in either! Really friendly, sincere, and affordable service from Liz at LA Auto. I am so glad to not only have my car repaired (FINALLY, with the exception of one small part that the dealership gave me in error that doesnt affect the main fix) but I am so estatic to support a small business owned and operated by women. I am telling everyone I know about LA Auto if they ever need repairs on their vehicle. This place is a real gem and deserves to shine!

Hmm. Lets start this lonnng review from start to finish. I wish I would've read the existing…read morereviews first. I took my car in on a Thursday afternoon around 430'ish. Abdul proceeded to ask me where I purchased my vehicle from and I thought that was irrelevant. I mean, if you wanted to know that bad you could look up the vin history. Im not into bashing other companies to another company, even if they sold me a faulty vehicle. It also had nothing to do with my a/c not working. They asked me several times did I want a ride home and I declined each time. The next day (Friday) I received automated text updates from the shop to keep me informed. I then received a phone call from Abdul explaining everything over the phone. No issues yet. I receive about 3 other text updates and then the estimate of $1511 and some change. Once I spoke with Abdul I approved the invoice and he informed me that he did not think my car would be ready before COB Friday. I had 2 events to attend but getting the car fixed was wayyy more important. I received a phone call at 4:44pm on Friday stating they were closed on weekends but my vehicle would he ready on Monday. On Monday morning is when I received the text msgs below from Abdul. I was not pleased with knowing my vehicle was indeed finished on Friday. I had to ask a family member to drive me around to finish some much-needed errands on Saturday and that could've been avoided. When I picked my vehicle up it was dusty and had some sort of debris all over the seats, floor and dashboard panel. My vehicle was cleaned the day before I took it to them. Even for them to tell me they washed it was insane so perhaps they sprayed the outside with water but the inside was still dirty. I paid (They do offer a 10% yelp discount on parts not labor) and the guy that took the payment was very nice. I didn't realize Abdul was even in the building until he got up and walked out once he was asked how to apply the discount. Again, no acknowledgement to the customer and no apology. It's very hard to find a reliable automotive shop, let alone a car dealership with integrity, ESPECIALLY for women. I was bummed that the customer service did not live up to my standards. Hopefully, by the looks of their other reviews they will figure it out. I gave 1 star because I was misinformed about the time my vehicle was complete, my vehicle was returned filthy and the fact that the a/c issue is not fixed. It takes my car at least 10 minutes to get cold with it blowing on max. First impressions matter and equals lifetime customers. The employee even asked me to complete a review, so here it is. Im going to give it another day and if it still reacts the same, I will be returning my vehicle back to them unfortunately. Ive had to take my car back to them two more times after my initial review because my a/c still was not repaired. I came back to do an update. After my initial review, the owner contacted me. Needless to say after bringing my car back another 3 times, it was finally repaired properly. Justin was EXTREMELY helpful and nice throughout the entire process. They redeemed themselves and made it right. 3.8 out of 5

They charged me hundreds of dollars for a brake job and the car sounds worse than it did when I brought it! The owner/boss is never there for you too talk to him and the workers claim they don't speak english. I have driven over 25-30 miles (one way) 3 times to resolve this issue because they never answer the phone or return a message left. I don't understand how you can put a warranty on labor and parts and don't honor it but you still want people to pay money when you've screwed up the job. This place is horrible! As old, dirty, and rundown as it is, that's probably why they take people's money and don't care about the job. I was referred to this place by another business that sold me a busted tire and because men think female are stupid when it comes to vehicles, so they get over on us because we are not watching over them, which we shouldn't have to. Integrity in a business should make you care about a person's safety, you never know when innocent children are involved! I will never set foot on that raggedy property again and I would never recommend them to ANYONE. They're cheap side mechanics looking to make a quick buck and not caring about your safety on the road! I now forgive myself for making such bad choices, I was leary but desperate when I pulled up.
