He is super professional when it comes to his business and makes you feel confident about leaving your car in his shop. The staff is great and really knowledgeable about what they're doing. Mark doesn't try to rip you off like all these other mechanic shops and has really good prices for all the services he offers. Now about my transmission, it went in super quick and my truck is driving great. Mark goes above and beyond to get the job done and he's definitely proven that. I had a Groupon for an oil change. Made my appointment, when I showed up I was concerned. There were many cars being worked on and looked like more waiting. However, once I gave my name I received excellent service! Mark told me about himself, after a quick look at my Van told me I'd benefit using the synthetic oil as, like me, the Van is getting up there in age!! We take good care, regular maintenance but its 11 years old, runs great! Mark said he's give me a deal, new customer and it's Good Friday, $30.00 OTD (out the door). My coupon was only for the "cheap" oil change. Normal price of the synthetic is $49.95. I walked out 20 minutes after my appointment with an oil change at NO cost. Absolutely the worst experience ever. I took my car to them one time they charged me over $1,000.00 for something they really could not explain. Shortly after that my car had major problems which cost me another $1,600.00. Then the service I paid $1,600.00 for was not done right because 2 days after my car was "repaired" I now have bigger problems with my car and now I can't even drive it. This is the worst auto repair shop and I Don't recommend anyone take there car here for service. read more

I was a customer of Walters VW until Andy sold it to AutoPros and continued to use them. I was OVERCHARGED here several times and THANKFULLY found the BEST Mechanic for my VW needs and couldn't be more happy and relieved that I won't be ripped off anymore and can TRUST my mechanic! I encourage you especially if you are a woman to do the same and go see Richard from TANOS.....you'll be glad you did! (actually, Richard worked for Walter's for 25+ years) Sam charged me over $100 for a cable I could buy for $20! My VW front end needed repair and TANOS charged me $150 less than Autopros quoted me and I couldn't have been happier about the job Richard did. THE LAST time I came to AUTOPROS, I told Scott IN DETAIL what the problem was after researching it on the internet (the Samba). My bug smelled like gas when I filled the tank. I paid for it to be fixed but guess what?......it STILL smelled like gas!......so I called Scott. He was so defensive that I could hardly get a word in because he TALKED OVER ME CONSTANTLY, argued his side and said the internet is not a reliable source! When I asked Scott if he had passed on the info I had given him.....he only told them that it smelled of gas......in his notes to the mechanic he wrote NOTHING about what I had told him in detail and DID NOT fix the problem. I wanted him to fix what In my opinion I had already paid for but he sarcastically asked me if they were suppose work for free? Scott wanted me to pay again for fixing it right! This guy will fight you with all he has! Arrogance is all I can say about him! Another time, after driving away from Autopros, My car swerved to the left into another lane when I hit the brakes.....I immediately called Scott about this and asked him why they didn't tell me about it during the test drive...he told me he would call me right back but NEVER DID.....that showed me how much he cares about his customers! What happened to all the bad reviews from customers for AUTO PROS?......there were many but now they are gone. This shop is unethical and I am SO HAPPY to have found Tanos with good old fashioned HONESTY & SERVICE! JUST STAY AWAY!!! read more

I took my car here this summer and he gave me an estimate of $150. Within 4 days it jumped up to $900 and it still wasn't repaired. I had to have my car towed out of there before the price became any higher. I towed it to another mechanic and they fixed it for $100. I can't believe how nice he seemed at first. read more

I used to take my VW Passat here and every time I dealt with them, it became a nightmare. Thanks to these guys, I feel like I can't trust independent auto shops at all anymore. Every time my car came out of there, it had new problems. Once they worked on some minor electrical problems; an hour after it left the shop, the starter was ruined. Another time they replaced my front CV boots; they didn't put my axel back together correctly and I lost control of my car going around 45 mph on a big street the very next night because the axel completely fell apart!! One of the times my car was in they also replaced the battery. Less then two years later, the battery was shot. Now that doesn't seem like their fault, but I brought my car in to ask if maybe the battery was under warranty, or if they could find me a discount for a replacement since it died much earlier than it was supposed to. They claimed my car had never been there. They didn't have any history or records of my car, but I still have all my paperwork! Those CV boots were replaced just a few years ago and one of them is already torn again. A mechanic at a local VW dealer told me it looks like the boot was not installed correctly and didn't appear to be a quality VW part. I'd go back to Auto Pros to complain that they didn't do it right, but like I said before, they lost their records so they can deny having done the work in the first place. Sure, Auto Pros is affordable, but not when you have to keep going back. You always hear stories about crooked and dishonest independent auto shops not doing things right or intentionally messing up cars so they have to come back. I'm pretty sure a lot of those stories came from Auto Pros. read more

Not going back. Sorry guys but I went in with a $99 coupon for breaks, it turned out my breaks were fine, but they took the liberty of running a diagnostics on my car without even asking and charged me for it. I paid and let them service my car for only one out of the 4 problems they stated it had since it was a safety issue. They said it would take an hour maybe two when they called me for a quote around noon, but never received a call that it was done, I called the next morning to check on the status of my car and found out it was ready. Once I took my car to my regular mechanic I use for major service he said they ripped me off. So much for trying to save money with a coupon when they run an unauthorized diagnostics and charge you $95 bucks for it plus the $195 for service. read more

There we were: On vacation. 500 miles from home. We are towing an 11000 lb travel trailer We parked our trailer at Orangeland RV park and spent a week driving our truck back and forth to Huntington Beach. On late Saturday afternoon on Labor Day Weekend as we were driving on Beach Blvd all of a sudden no brakes - no power steering - and instant overheating! We barely got off the road safely. What do you do when everything is closed???? Sitting ducks for a repair ripoff? Ya think? We got towed back to the RV park and started checking reviews on Yelp and dialing. Nobody open. No answers. My wife dialed Auto Pros and a guy named Sam actually answered. He was closed but said to tow in on Tuesday at 7:00am and he would get right on it. I met Sam at 7:00 and he understood our predicament. My family was stranded without the truck and this was our vacation. At 9:00 Sam called and explained what had happened to the truck and gave me a FAIR estimate and it would be ready by 5:00. At 4:00 Sam called and added a new belt. I picked the truck up at 5:00. New water pump and pulley New Tensioner New serpentine belt. Total $700.00 We finished our vacation and pulled our trailer to home sweet home without any problems. I have been a loyal patron for a few years now. All of my cars that are out of warranty are serviced here. The staff is friendly, the owner is a stand up guy, and the techs are well trained. The attention to detail is wonderful. And, they don't try on sell you on unnecessary stuff - just what you need at a fair price. They use quality parts and I keep coming back again and again. A while back I had the serpentine belt replaced - along with a squeaky pulley. After a few months, the belt started wearing strangely. The belt shredded a bit later because Auto Pros did not put the guide wheel back on with the proper spacer. The belt was only partially on the wheel. My first belt lasted well over 100k miles. The one they put on - the same factory part - only lasted a year or so. I am very disappointed and, they took care of their error. I am happy with how they responded to the issue. read more

It was 2:00 PM on our last day of a trip to Disneyland when our Town & Country suddenly went on the fritz - AC died, then all instrument panel displays flat-lined and check engine light came on. AAA recommended Auto Pros, they took the car in, diagnosed and told us it just needed a resynch of 3 on-board computers. They helped us get back to the park, pushed the car through and got us out of the shop by 6:00, then helped me get back to the park. He also told me if I had any problems to call him back and he would make sure issues were corrected - but no problems at all on our drive back to San Jose. Sam was as honest and helpful as anyone could be. He got us going for less than the cost of most of our meals at Disney. I tried to tip him an extra $20, and he wouldn't take it, said he just wanted to treat us the way he would want to be treated. If Anaheim hasn't given him the keys to the city already, they ought to! Auto Pros is so convienet! They have two shops; one is L.A. and one in Orange County! They are nice guys wanting to help. They do repairs and also does oil changes and fluids! I went to get my oil changed and they were so nice and honest and i learned a couple things from them. This was the best experience with an auto body shop I've ever had. My boyfriend and I drove down to LA from SF to go to Disneyland in my Honda Civic. During the last stretch of our trip, just when we got off the freeway (less than a mile away from our hotel) my engine died. There was this awful rattling noise and we just barely made it to our hotel at 1 AM. It was a nightmare. Long story short, AAA recommended Auto Pros to us. Sam and Scott were soooooo incredibly helpful and professional. Not only did they thoroughly inspect every single thing in my car, they also did all that hard work for a VERY decent price. There's no way I could've gotten such a great deal at any other body shop...and all for excellent service. The guys at Auto Pros are honest, and they're good at what they do. They kept me updated regularly and explained the damage to my car as clearly as possible. They were very patient with me when I called them several times in 1 day because I was so panicked. They left no stone unturned with my car. By the time they had finished working on it, it was basically like a brand new vehicle. If your car needs work, don't bother taking your car elsewhere. I brought my BMW in for a repair of and oil leak. The work was done so poorly that I am now needing to take it to another shop. I tried to speak to the owner and I all received was yelling at me for not bringing it back to him. Why would I trust a second service when it was not fixed the first time. Think twice before you bring it here. They did not even know I had a transmission leak. I had to find that out . If you have BMW go to Precision in Anaheim Hills. Our 1991 VW Vanagon outfitted with a Subaru engine, overheated on a Friday night in Southern California on our way home to Berkeley. Our lucky stars brought us to Mark at Auto Pros (on as Saturday morning, no less!)....and over the weekend he researched and diagnosed our van's very ideosincratic issues on his own time. He rebuilt the radiator fan, replaced the faulty thermostat and a fuse, and fixed the pressure throughout the whole system.
