I moved to California from Miami a few years ago and was sad to lose my long time mechanic. Every other shop I've tried in California, I've left knowing I over paid, and having doubts about the repair itself. When I found Mark at AutoPros, it immediately felt like I've been a customer with them for years. Mark is very personable and actually cares about your experience there. He is interested in building a long term relationship with his customers and keeping their costs low, not inflating them. Came in today for an oil change, staff was very helpful and kind. It was definitely a hot day forsure and Mark let us sit inside in the nice ACed room. I had a group on voucher to redeem and they honoured it with no questions asked. They didn't try to upsell anything or charge me for extra services, which was very friendly considering most mechanics do when they service a female's car. There is no world where replacing a starter for an old japanese car costs $600. Let's agree on that premise. When my wife's car broke down, she called AAA and asked the driver for a AAA approved auto shop. That's the first mistake, you have to ask the dispatcher on the phone. The driver sent her here, which is not approved. This was Friday. Saturday she gets a call quoting $360 to fix the starter, including a $200 part. When I tried to ask about the cost of this part for a 2003 eclipse, I got pushback about the integrity of an $100 part and decided to back out off my wife's business. I estimated this job should have been about $100 for the part and $200 in labor, so $360 wasn't so bad and hey maybe AAA approved shops are a little more for a guaranteed job. Tuesday I drive her to work to pick the car up at 8am. We're informed by Cedric that there is a secondary issue with oil dropping onto the starter which is what shorted out the first one and caused this problem in the first place. I found it interesting that we didn't hear about the problem before this work was done, because although I can understand the argument for a more reliable part, installing it with known danger and a prior cause seems at best STUPID and at worst, a built in reason to charge double for labor to open the car up again at a later date. We were warned to get that fixed pronto and quoted $400 for the repair. Cedric then spent a good 15 minutes at the computer working up a bill for us. My wife was late for work and there was another delivery man who was waiting on Cedric to finish messing with the numbers until we got our bill. Cedric was very proud to tell us that we got $40 AAA discount plus $100 off. I'm not sure I've ever waited this long to just pick up a car and have someone get me a bill. Now, I realize we got taken for a ride (pun intended) and Cedric was fudging our bill. The bill lists we paid $218 for a remanufactured starter, and the only other listed charge was for "car will not turn over" no hourly labor breakdown, but I'd say two hours at $100 is reasonable. All in all, the bill came to $460 with 'generous' discounts of $140 which means this car cost $600 to replace with a remanufactured starter and the problem that broke the first starter is still present. In the history books of mechanic scams and taking advantage of women who may be in a hurry to get to work and in a jam to get their car fixed, this takes the cake. I called AAA immediately, at which point they told me this shop wasn't on their list... So, I'm my book, any mechanic I've never dealt with has more credibility than this one. Congratulations on taking advantage. The other reviewers here must have dealt with someone else or maybe they were purchased reviews. This one is real. read more

Great service, fast and friendly. Bought a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change. Read all the fine print and followed the directions. Made an appointment for a Saturday morning even though Mark was willing to fit me in the same day. I was 2 minutes late, but it was no problem as Mark took the car right in to get the oil change started. We chatted while the car was being done and the next thing I know, it's done! Paid nothing because he noticed it was my birthday and waived the taxes. My experience was great. I don't review business that much, but had to pay this one forward since I did receive great service. I came in for an oil change with a Groupon deal last week. After about 5-10 minutes of taking my car, the mechanic came back into the waiting room to physically show that my two air filters were completely black. I was shocked because I had just changed them myself very recently. Is it routine to open up my cabin air filter cartridge for a simple oil change? I asked them how this was possible, and the owner told me I could have parked on a "dusty" street. Upon personally replacing my filter today, I saw that it was completely white and pristine! I am very disappointed that the shop had outright LIED and had "props" to make their case. These are truly dirty business practices. They prey upon new customers to falsify reasons for upselling unnecessary services. read more

To make long story short.. you should avoid going to this place I asked oil change and check engine light issue 1.replace secondary pump 2.replace Bosch Automotive 0261230234 sensor 3.oil change total 480.60 Too much overcharged(just about sensor). I don't even talked about orther. I asked about overcharge and he said replacement part are $160 and $175. The sensor is only $20~25 and take around 5~10 minute to replace the part. I went there 5 time and he asked me replace other part. Also more money. My car still got engine light. read more

if you are a woman and educated, please PLEASE stay away from this shop. I had a wonderful initial conversation with a gentleman who gave me background on the company, ethics, and expectations. I called one day prior to schedule a fix for my front end struts. Little did I know that 8 inches of snow would make my situation more complex with my vehicle. When I showed up at Auto Pros, I felt confident My vehicle would be taken care of. Upon arrival it was a very different story. I was was mocked by two men who thought it was funny for me to ask for mechanical help. I called them out on this. I make over 125K a year. I may not be male, however I do not appreciate being degraded as I was. My vehicle was scheduled for a major repair taking up to 2 days and well over a thousand dollars. I left. yes, me and my vehicle drove away from this establishment due to how I was treated. No one deserves to be treated this way. To the owner of this company; please pay attention to your demographics paying your and your employees salary. I called Auto Pros back within 2 hours asking to speak with the owner. Guess who retrieved the phone call? Indeed, the man I have an issue with. We all, ALL of us want to be treated with respect. Bought a groupon deal took my car here and the guy said "next time don't get it off groupon I don't make any money from those" and he tried to say my car needed a lot of things done which isn't true. He also tried to say he couldn't find my groupon when I showed him the paper with the barcode and the confirmation email. Never coming back to this place. The customer service here is top notch! I was a walk-in oil change and they were able to handle it immediately. While I waited, I had the choice of sitting in some very comfortable looking chairs in the lobby but I was treated by the presence of the business's owner. Instead of sitting, I was engrossed by a very engaging and enjoyable conversation with the owner throughout the entire time it took to get my car's oil changed. At every other auto shop, whether I was getting brakes replaced or my oil changed, I was always given the cold shoulder and sat in a quiet, and very boring, waiting room. The absolute honesty and friendliness of the owner was an incredible breath of fresh air. I will come back to this business whenever my car is in need of maintenance or repairs and will, without a doubt, recommend them to family and friends. I'd also like to note that during our conversation, the current owner mentioned he bought the business in December 2017 and took the full reigns (and the keys to the shop) in January 2018. So if you look up a bad review about the company prior to those dates, take it with a grain of salt! read more

Took the 2009 Altima with 240k miles to Auto Pros a few weeks ago for an oil change. Also asked them to take a look as the car had nasty vibrations particularly at 20-40 mph. The engine mounts were bad for a long time but never had these types of vibrations so I thought it might be the drive shaft going bad. Mark mentioned it was due to the mounts and not the drive shaft. Got 2 passenger side mounts replaced and drives great again. Car was ready for pickup at requested times. He mentioned one of the shocks going bad but did not try to upsell any unneeded work.
