I wish I could give 10 stars. Anyone that knows me will tell you that I'm incredibly particular when it comes to my cars. I've been a fanatical car enthusiast since the day I received my drivers permit, and collecting & racing cars has been my passion for as long as I can remember. With that said, I don't trust ANYONE when it comes to my cars. I've worked in the automotive industry most of my life, and have seen what most shops do to their customers. I've seen shops ruin cars through ignorance, cutting corners to save a buck, or maliciously taking advantage of their customers. Because of this, I do almost all of my own work, and do an excessive amount of homework on a shop before I'll let them work on my car. I have no problem tearing and engine out of a car, or overhauling the suspension, but I don't touch body work. It's a completely different skill set that I don't have, and one that I want perfect when it is finished. My homework led me to Alfred and the guys at Auto Perfection. After multiple recommendations, I decided to give them a try. I started off small, with a fender on one of my racecars. It was banged up, and needed to be replaced. From the start, Alfred was honest, and provided a fair quote that was exactly what he charged me. After receiving my car, the fender looked perfect, and looked like it had never been replaced. The car was red, and the color matched perfectly. Needless to say, I was happy with the result. Happy was one thing, but after a season of racing. I was truly impressed with the quality of work. The racetrack is hard on paint, and crappy bodywork becomes obvious after only a few weekends on track. After a full season, the paint on the fender held up better than the factory BMW paint, and now (3 years later) looks as good as it did then. Since then, I've sent any sort of body work I needed to Auto Perfection. Little things here and there, but nothing serious. I recently required a good amount of work on a Subaru STI. The whole front end needed to be repaired and painted. The paint on that car is a beautiful pearl white, and is very difficult to match. Even with Alfred's skill, I was worried about the color difference being obvious. I should have known better, because when i got the car back, it looked better than ever! On August 14, 2019, I was involved in an automobile accident. With great force, I was rear-ended and what I believed at the time, only the bumper on my 2005 Saturn VUE was a total loss. Brought my car in here after my sweet Camry got hit from behind. The guys who work here are really nice. Best of all though, they are very efficient. Having to take your car to a body shop is always a result of an unfortunate event. So taking it to the right body shop makes all the difference. Alfred and Auto Perfection Group are the difference maker. I bought my dream car just a couple of months ago (an E92 M3!!) and I was rear-ended on my way home from work. You can imagine my frustration and disappointment. My car was wrecked and I had to go through the headache of shopping around to find a body shop that would do a great job but at the same time wouldn't try to rip me off and make my life any more difficult than it already became. My brother collects and restores old cars and HIGHLY recommended that I speak with Alfred and take my car to his shop. I called Alfred the day after my accident and he told me to bring it in the same day. FIRST IMPRESSION: I immediately knew I was in good hands. First, there were high-end cars all over his shop waiting to get worked on. There was another E92 M3, a Lamborghini, and Range Rover, and a G63. Second, the shop was clean and tidy. It didn't feel like I was walking into a junkyard. Third, Alfred didn't make me wait. He stopped what he was doing and came to talk to me and inspect my car. And fourth, his love for cars as pieces of art was apparent right away. His face glowed up when he started talking about how much he loves BMWs and M3s in particular. This was just a rear-ender so the damage was only to the back bumper. But Alfred pointed out that the front fender was painted by the previous owner and it was an atrocious job. I'm not sure how I hadn't noticed that before. He was happy to take on the job and even told me that he would redo the fender job for free! Why? Because of his love for cars and his trade. He explained he wouldn't feel right working on a car and letting it leave his shop looking like that. Alfred truly looks at cars as pieces of art. (In fact, he's restoring a BMW 3.0 CS with all original parts. We spent a good amount of time talking about it. Ask him about it.) I left my car at the shop and didn't even consider getting another opinion anywhere else. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The fact that Alfred offered to repair my fender for free should already give you an indication of how amazing his customer service is. He was always available when I called. I called him quite a few times to get updates on what the insurance adjuster said, progress on the work, you name it. My calls did not go unanswered - not even once. And on top of that, Alfred himself picked up. He didn't have a receptionist screen his calls or anything. He even gave me his cell number as a back up. And even more surprisingly, he sent me constant updates and progress pictures. It felt like he was babysitting my child and sending me updates to make me feel confident my child is in good hands. But the biggest surprise was that once Alfred started working on my car he noticed that my trunk was in pretty bad shape - there were dings and scratches everywhere. You can probably guess what his next step was. That's right, he repaired it for no extra charge. And even with all the added work, he got the car back to me in no time at all. QUALITY OF WORK: There's really nothing to say here other than the car looked better than the day I bought it. When I drove my car out of the shop, it felt like I was driving the car out of the dealer lot. I went to a 5-star rated run-of-the mill shop close to home first and they would probably have done a good job but I am somewhat of a perfectionist and won't let just anybody touch my cars! I had an accident recently where a distracted driver ran into my car. I brought my car to Alfred and he took care of everything. My car was ready within two weeks even thought it was a pretty big accident visually the bumper, headlight and the fender looked completely recked when I took the car in.
