Genuinely the best service I've ever received at a car mechanic, and I have a hard time believing I'd ever go to someone else. Adolpho is a gem and his uncle is lovely as well. The price was fair & consistent after the service despite them needing to do more than they originally thought. I'm so impressed by how prompt, kind and professional everyone was! read more

Adolpho is first class! Very experienced and courteous. He was able to swap in new glass on my old Wrangler quickly and with great skill. His price was the best I found. read more

Fantastic! I called in the morning when they opened, got the windshield ordered, waited for it to be delivered, and went right over to get it fixed. Took all of 45 minutes (walk to Solarc Brewing to have one IPA and then walk back) - very very nice guys, Adolpho is the best and a great choice for this work in the general northeast LA (Glassell Park, Cypress Park, Highland Park, Eagle Rock) area. read more

I am so impressed with the service I received at Universal. Adolfo was super responsive, professional, and goes the extra mile for good service. Universal offers competitive rates, gets the job done efficiently, and Adolfo's sense of humor makes it an enjoyable experience. I'm only going to Universal from now on. read more

You rarely get service like this in LA : I called in panicked on my way back from my toddler's daycare with my back glass windshield broken so bad it was marbled into a million pieces (held together by the glass tint layer!) and about to collapse. What happened - I had just slammed my trunk onto a hard object that I accidentally placed where the glass meets the trunk. And when I called Adolfo in a panic he paused all his jobs to rush back and fix it for me so I could safely go back to my child's daycare to pick her up - the glass was holding by a thread and could have easily collapsed on her since the back seat is just below the glass. Thank god for people like this. read more

Adolfo is THE BEST. I had a problem with a leak that I thought was my windshield. Instead of just quoting me a price like other vendors, Adolfo took a look in person and helped me figure out that the problem was not the windshield (it was the sunroof) and also how to fix it. This is 5 star customer service! read more

AMAZING JOB! Did a windshield replacement on my 1987 el camino, showed me that i actually had rust and he sanded it for me, primed it and did new silicone for me! I appreciate his work. read more

Great work, and fast with an added challenge on my accessorized truck. Fair, reasonable pricing and upfront. If ever the need arises, Alex and team are the place to go. read more

Adolfo is your guy! Very kind & professional - not to mention the price was great in comparison to other larger auto glass companies! We had a couple cracks in our windshield and needed to leave on a road trip. We got his number from a (car dealer) referral and called him immediately. He was able to get us a quote, obtain the windshield, and come to our location the following morning before we left! He went out of his way to squeeze us in, which made for a worry-free, safe road trip. And the process was quick! read more

When a random crack appeared in my windshield, my car dealership recommended Universal Auto Glass. I worked primarily with Adolfo, and he quickly assessed the situation and ordered the replacement windshield glass. There was a bit of a delay in getting the replacement in stock, but he kept me up to date on the progress. Setting up a follow-up appointment once the glass arrived was easy! The installation process went smoothly, and i found the price to be reasonable. Overall, I appreciated the attentive customer service. While I'm hoping it will be a while until I need to get my windshield replaced, if I have to do so, I would go back to Universal Auto Glass. read more

Three years later and Adolfo is still providing excellent service at an affordable price! Within a day of me contacting him, he was able to get and replace the windshield of my Toyota Corolla in 30 minutes. He also went above and beyond to hide the wires of my dashcam at no additional cost. I can't recommend his services enough for all your auto glass repair needs. read more

Someone broke into my car and I needed to get the window replaced as soon as possible, and Adolfo was the nicest, friendliest, and fastest person to ever repair my car. I can't even tell you how pleasant of an experience this was. He has amazing pricing too. If I could give him 6 stars I would :D read more

My car was broken into last night and the thief completely smashed my passenger side window. I looked into a few options for mobile repairs but ultimately the 5-star rating and close location of Universal Auto Glass won me over. I called Adolfo around 9:30 a.m., he gave me the most competitive quote, and said he could have the window by the afternoon and finish installation whenever I could make it over. At 1:00 p.m., he called me as promised (!!!), I drove over to his repair shop, and my window was good as new by 2:00. Not only did he fix it quickly, he vacuumed the rest of my car, which was a bit dirty from a camping trip a few days ago, and he fixed a loose bumper which the car dealership had said required all these extra parts that they did not have in stock. Adolfo is extremely nice, efficient and organized, and he works at lightspeed for very fair prices. He turned an annoying inconvenience of city life into one of the better service experiences I've had in years. Thank you, Adolfo! read more

Adolfo is outstanding. Kept in contact throughout the process with a realistic timeframe and decent cost to replace my son's Volvo windshield. Rain delayed our being able to get started for a couple of days but once the clouds cleared up the work was done quickly and well. Strongly recommend this top-notch tiny repair shop and will definitely use them in the future should the need arise. read more

To be honest, Adolfo was not my first choice to replace the passenger side window of my Acura, but it was only because he was honest. Another shop promised me they could replace my window, the next day, but they couldn't. Then then they said they could do it the next morning, but they couldn't do that either. Then it was an additional 4 days, at that point I gave up and went to Adolfo. Adolfo found a salvage yard with my window, I was able to pick it up myself saving me money. He installed it the same day. I should add that his price was excellent. He is a hard worker, a nice guy, and knows how to properly run a business. Because of all this, he is always busy, but he still managed to squeeze he in which I appreciated because I definitely did not want to be driving around Los Angeles with a car wide open to any hoodlum that wanted to break in. For some reason, about a week after he replaced my glass, my door stopped working, meaning I was no longer able to open it. I am definitely not blaming Universal for this, everything was working fine when he finished the repair. Adolpho did try to help me remedy this problem, which I appreciate because this was not his responsibility. I give Universal a solid 5 stars for value, service, and professionalism. I would not hesistate to go back to Aldofo for all my future auto glass needs. read more

There is no better glass place than Universal Auto Glass!! The owner treats you like family, and he replaced our windshield incredibly quickly and beat every other price we were quoted by A LOT! Do not get overcharged by going through Safelite, insurance or a car dealership. Universal Auto Glass will take care of you and will work to beat all of the prices that those places charge!! Call Universal Auto Glass immediately and save yourself the headache of getting overcharged! read more

Replaced my windshield same day for 25% cost of the next lowest quote. Nice to have an honest shop in the neighborhood.

Great guy. Quick. Easy. Reasonable rates. Called him on Friday morning, the vent window was replaced Saturday morning

Adolfo was recommended to me by both my body shop and the Ford dealer, and for good reason. Super nice guy, too. Does work on new cars and classics alike, and knows the different approaches that each requires. He has the small business-personal touch thing down. read more

- glass installed when promised, at price promised - installation done quickly - new glass looks great - friendly, honest owner - much better price than Safelite - got a real person when I called I'm not sure how this could've gone any better. My windshield got smashed by a large can that flew off the truck in front of me on the freeway. Although there was shattered glass on my dashboard, no one was hurt (thankfully). First thing I did when I got home was to call my mechanic, who recommended Safelite. But there isn't one near me. There's an extra charge for them to come out (which I was willing to pay); but I couldn't get past their automated phone system. They encourage you to go online, which I did. But I didn't hear back. So I started looking at the other places listed on Google Maps. I saw that Universal Auto Glass was near me and got great reviews. I called, and Adolfo, the owner, answered. He gave me a price quote right away, and said he could do it first thing Monday morning (it was Friday). Since I didn't have to use my car over the weekend, I was able to schedule the appointment. Later, Safelite started emailing me with discount codes. But I figured, if I couldn't talk to a real person when they were courting my business, what would they be like if there were a problem? I got to Universal Auto Glass first thing Monday morning, and there was no waiting, no bs; Adolfo started working on my car right away. It took less than 45 minutes, and I was on my way. And as great of a guy he is, I hope I never have to see Adolfo again 'cause getting your windshield smashed while you're driving on the freeway is no fun. And at the risk of sounding like a drama queen - if the guy driving the truck took away some of my faith in humanity, I have to say that Adolfo restored it. I would recommend this place 100%. read more

After our front windshield cracked and we were horrified at the cost of replacement at the dealership, we looked around for other options. My side sunshade suction cup got trapped in my window and our window wouldn't roll all the way up. Adolfo was so great and quick to respond! Adolfo, is the man, I came in thinking there was something wrong with my window regulator, and after he took it apart and showed me what was actually wrong, that one of the wires was actually holding the window from coming down, I can say that I will definitely recommend him to my friends and family, he's honest and definitely tries to fix your issue without trying to cost you an arm and a leg!!! Thanks again Adolfo!!! read more

Don't write that many reviews, but these guys were great. Driver's side window smashed out, nothing in the car taken. Made a safelite appointment first thing, then called around. Canceled appointment and was not disappointed with the service. Small, local, a third the price and just all around nice people. Also small chat was easy. read more

Adolfo has to be one of the most honest business men that I've encountered in my life. After my truck side window was broken into, the last thing I was expecting was a huge expense to have to repair this damage. I had called around to get estimates on price and timeline from a few shops. Not only was Adolfo the best with communication, he was also the most straight forward with price and expectations. He saved me $375!! He got my window as promised the next day and completed my job in under an hour. I am so impressed with the way he runs his business and I would recommend him to anyone in need of auto glass. Not only he is an excellent business man, he's an even better person. Thank you Adolfo!! read more

Adolfo is good people. I really miss shop owners who care about what they do and their customers. That is Adolfo. Old school customer care. The glass fix was pretty routine, but in all aspects he handled it with care and professionalism. Very responsive on Yelp messaging, from first contact to setting up an appointment. He deserves all of the five star ratings you see here. Definitely use Universal Auto Glass for your glass needs. The work is great and the customer service is, well, perfect. read more

Yup, Adolfo and his team are definitely who you want replacing your windshield. Very fast. They were able to get a new windshield delivered to their shop the same day I called. I dropped off the car at 12, and they installed it before I finished up a nice lunch in Atwater Village. I called 4 different places, and they had the lowest price. Awesome service, reliable, honest, responsive, family owned, and local. read more

I wish I could put 6-7 or even more stars. I called them to replace my 2014 kia optima's Windshild. Which was chipped and I knew it will be a huge $$$$ when I return the lease. ADOLFO was the man. He made this replacement so fast and easy. Even they came yo my work place and replaced it right here. I even haven't drive the car to them :) They complete the job in 20 minutes. Fast and clean. But you know the best part was the cost. I look around and got done pricing but believe it or not their price, even with VIP service was 50-60% less than anywhere else. Just call them and make sure ask for Adolfo. He is the man read more

I took my car in today to get the front windshield replaced, damn flying freeway rocks! Lol. Universal Auto Glass was recommended by a friend of mine by word of mouth. I am so happy I went with this recommendation! Adolfo is such a professional and very straight forward type of person! As a woman you are sometimes worried about navigating anything to do with your car. But the moment you meet Adolfo.....he puts you at ease. Needless to say my car's windshield is looking top notch! To whom it may concern, I just had my windshields on 2 vehicles replaced by Adolfo and pleased to tell ya how professional and honest this guy is. After searching for the best price Adolfo came in lower then the others. He told me when he could come by and he was right on the money. Adolfo did a fine job and I would recommend him to my mother if she was alive. I also got a quality glass for the same price. If you don't believe me, take a rock and break your own windshield then call him and then you'll see what I'm talking about. read more

I have a 2021 F150 I hit a large bird going 70 MPH smashed the whole windshield. My insurance company would only work directly with large glass replacement companies, unfortunately, these companies were telling me anywhere fro 7-21 days to even get the replacement glass from Ford. Adolfo from Universal Glass was able to get me the glass in less than 24 hours directly from Ford and after going through a bid process with my insurance company, they paid the claim. I can't give enough praise to Adolfo's work. He's professional, personable, encourages you to watch him work. He's probably the most experienced glass guy in LA. Do yourself a favor when your insurance company tells you to go to the bigger glass companies, call Universal and if you're not filing a claim they'll beat their prices. read more
