I called to get a remote key fob for my car and the auto locksmith was able come and help me within the next hour. The whole process was fast and easy and he was super chill and fun to talk to! And he helped me fix my loose car battery! So sweet! (Was not part of the service) I looked around at other shops but to my surprise, some of them did not work on BMW. Definitely a better price than you would get at a dealership for sure. So 10/10 I recommend this place if you need another key or an extra set for your car! read more

Called them needing my key fob reprogrammed due to a failed theft attempt. A guy called us to let us know his eta was 45 minutes. An hour went by and nothing. We called the guy back and he said 25 minutes. Waited 30 minutes called him back and he said he wasn't able to come out due to another job. If that were the case not sure why he couldn't have let us know before having us wait 2 hours for nothing. We called the main office again attempting to get someone else sent out instead. The receptionist told us she was going to give us a call back for more help and what do you know, no call received. If they're unable to complete the service due to a heavy schedule that's understandable but they should communicate that so people aren't waiting for someone who isn't planning on showing up. read more

Fantastic service! They came out same day I called & made me 2 keys & programmed my alarm. Life savers for sure!

I love going to the shop to get my keys done. I Really enjoy my experience with the lady that works the counter. Service calls. Wow, probably the most difficult process ever. They have two call techs that seem to be clueless and have the shortest memory. It takes legitimately 10 calls back and forth to get a tech scheduled. Everytime we speak on the phone, they totally forget that we spoke 2 minutes earlier. Concerning the techs, they tell me they will arrive in 20 min. I show up 10min early and wait for 10min after the eta. I call in and am told they showed up and left cuz no one was around. What?? Makes no sense. Being in commercial property management, I am not simply hanging around my properties and time is valuable. So if I am told a particular time, I will be there but I can't afford to wait around because the tech decided to change his schedule. Not business/commercial friendly. If you are in residential, it may work because you can hang out at the house. I'll continue to use them to get my keys copied but I will not be using this company for service calls anymore. Too difficult. read more

Ben came in when I needed help in a pinch! Quick and easy service. Saved my life. Guy opened the door for me with great professionalism

SERVICE WAS FAST QUICK, make sure you ask all questions, the price and the services. The technician will only consult with you about basic. If your car keys was stolen along with your ID like mine as I stated during the services, make sure you let them know about the manual key lock, as my mistake I assumed all professionals will be able to educate you about it, sadly no. I am clueless to this kind of thing. Unfortunately that service wasn't included so I had to go elsewhere because I already paid 1,000 for new key fob and reprogramming the system to remove of my old key. So no, I will not pay an extra 550. Will I ever recommend anyone to this place? No. FYI, Why would I ask for an oil change? You make no sense. You do locksmith, NOT OIL CHANGE. FYI, I never asked you for anything else beside the services I PAID for. Why would you reply on yelp and still text me through my phone? Wake you up with your newborn? It was 11:30pm when I texted you, NOT midnight. It was 2 simple messages and I was respectful when I texted you. You never ever responded even though you had seen the messages, I had to call the company. How professional is that? Please don't act like I was asking for free services. We paid you 1,000 in cash UPFRONT. We never asked for discount or haggled, we assumed you took care of everything because YOU'RE the professional and as I stated, I didn't know anything about keys. If you told us exactly how much everything was DAY OFF, we would have gladly accepted. We had to call again the next day to because we noticed the manual key doesn't work because it wasn't changed, I kept stating someone stole my ID, keys and they have my address, so I trusted you with everything, It's your job to educate your clients AS A PROFESSIONAL. So YOU MISCOMMUNICATED and now you're upset? Upset because a customer wrote an unpleasant review. You should stop making up false accusations. This review wasn't even for your service, which I said was great, it was YOUR LACK OF COMMUNICATION. You have a BLESSED day. read more

I dropped my VW FOB and unknown to me, the RFID or immobilizer chip came loose and fell out of the FOB. Called and was VERY happy with the results. In less than 15 mins., my technician put in a new immobilizer and programmed my auto computer to accept the "new" key. If I had to use the dealer, I would have needed to tow the car there and order an immobilizer, which they didn't have on stock. A MILLION THANKS read more

My KIA key broke off today. The metal part just disappeared so I could open the car but not start it. I called them and spoke to a very nice lady on the phone. She told me I would get a call back in about 15 mins. 5 mins later they called me back to let me know they were on their way to me. Maybe like 20 mins later a very nice young man, Benjamin, showed up. Super friendly and professional. Had a look at the key and my car's vin, went to his van to work his magic and came back with 2 keys for me in about 10/15 mins. We arranged payment through Zelle and that was it. Honestly it's been such a flawless experience. Can't recommend these guys enough! Thank you!!! read more

My Honda key fob decided to break in half, releasing the key. The problem is my spare key did not have a fob that could turn off the alarm! I called Auto Locksmith and they were able to have me come in immediately and it was fixed in about 30 minutes - I had a new key made with a new cover and the electronic pieces put back together. The key master was very nice and welcoming. I had a great experience. This was a fraction of the cost at a dealership and I'm so happy I found them! read more

My friends keys got left on the dashboard so we were basically locked outside the Toyota. Auto locksmith was responsive and attended quickly but left the car door damaged. I needed an extra key and emergency key for my Range Rover Sport. I first asked how much it would cost me at the dealership and they quoted me $450 for just the key plus $350 to program and $200 for the emergency key. Also I would have to wait about a month to get it. I wasn't about to wait that long so I called Auto Locksmith San Jose and they immediately were able to help me. I was able to get a genuine Land Rover key fob programmed and 2 emergency keys for nearly half the price and they do it while you wait. I was super impressed with the service and I highly recommend their services to anyone who is locked out or needs a new replacement key like myself. They have mobile services or you can just visit their shop in San Jose. read more

Big thank you to these guys! I had my Keys stolen at the gym and was freaking out. They arrived within the time frame they said they would. Super generous, they communicated with me the whole time. Going thru a tough family crisis made me even more absent-minded than usual, and after tending to my ailing parent, I locked myself out of my car on White Rd at Alum Rock. I don't have AAA so this seemed like the only other option. The van showed up in 20 minutes. The service person was calm, friendly, sympathetic and quick. The door was unlocked within 4 minutes. I had a rough morning of backtracking over my steps and kicking myself after I discovered a hole in my pocket and realized my keys were maybe somewhere along the path of my morning walk or had maybe been picked up by a stranger. Once I gave up searching and decided to call a locksmith, I was delighted to find Auto Locksmith and Mark. Even though it was a Sunday, he came over quickly and worked through the problem. It was expensive, but roughly what I expected, so the fix was no economic surprise. He also advised that I can make a claim with AAA. I felt bad for Mark because it was a hot day and my car was parked in the direct sun, but he did get some relief in his van's air conditioning while his device talked to the computer in my car to figure out the alarm code. I have more work to do replacing the other keys, but the most important problem was solved thanks to Mark. read more

Long review. I called his business because I was trying to save a buck and avoid the dealer. I ordered two keys and two fobs for my Chevrolet Tahoe from a reputable source. All I needed to do was have the two blank keys cut and two fobs programmed. I was told to meet the service person at an address in San Jose and it would be about $130-140 dollars to cut the keys and program the fobs. I traveled from Morgan Hill and met the service person/owner. I handed him two keys to cut; his machine was set to cut the keys he stocks and not mine. First key was ruined, no problem he replaced it. When it was time to program the keys there was an unknown issue with the chips in the keys. He told me he would have to reset the 'immobilizer' in my vehicle, basically wiping out all the keys, including my original, in order to program new keys. Well after that 'reset' my vehicle would not start up again with any of the keys, including my original. Mind you this is now two hours into a process that was supposed to take 15-30 minutes. Now I'm in panic mode because I had to pick up my daughter from school at 2pm in Morgan Hill! I have no vehicle or way to get home. I had to call AAA to pick up my Tahoe, tow it to a nearby dealer, and have the reset issue reversed to have my original key work again. Luckily there was a nearby Enterprise walking distance from the dealer. The owner met me there an paid for the rental car until the dealer resolved my issue. One day later and $300 more my car is finally back on the road. I wasted half a day because I tried to save some money. Beware, you get what you pay for. From now on if I need chipped programmable keys I will get them directly from Chevrolet and not get stranded 25 miles from home. **Owner was not happy with my review, blamed me for bringing my own keys. He texted me saying I was mean and said this would come back and "bite me in the ass." What a horrible way to do business. How about be accountable for your mistake.** He seems to think that by not charging me he was doing me a favor. Ridiculous. Take your business elsewhere. read more

I needed replacement key fobs for son's Toyota Corolla. Mary responded quick and gave me a quote over the phone. When I arrived at a time we had arranged, Mary was ready and the original key fob was working again (Mary was very honest that she did not do anything and that I may not need a replacement fob -- could be an intermittent problem with existing key fobs or car electronics). I decided to get a single key fob as a backup -- Mary did the the work quickly, with high quality, and at a fair price. Mary is honest and easy to work with. They have all sorts of automotive keys. If I ever need lock work done for my car, this will be the place to go. read more

I needed to get a replacement remote key fob for our 2008 Honda Pilot. Dispatch put me in contact with Mary immediately and I had an appointment set and was seen 90 min later. Mary educated me as to what the issues were and what she was trying to do in trying to remake the key. The valet key we were using was pretty worn, and as much as she tried, she couldn't get the ignition to recognize it. She explained to my why, what the mechanism inside the ignition looked like, and why it wasn't the key, but that it was the ignition. She then quoted my what it would cost to have the other technician at auto Locksmith San Jose rekey the ignition. While I am still deciding if I want to rekey the ignition (or just continue to use the valet key), Mary was informative, hard working, and patient during my time down there. Highly recommend. read more
