SIR, I showed you the temporary registration, you shook your head over and over and kept refusing to listen to me. I couldn't even explain to myself how unprofessional you were to me because you kept cutting me off. Had you listened and apologized I would not have to take to yelp to make a review. You attitude and, lack of customer service skills was clear as you stepped out of your vehicle. I own my business and work as a nurse and I understand refusal of services but you clearly said you would perform a service on the phone and when we got there you took 30 seconds to refuse service when you saw myself, my daughter and my luxury vehicle. All of the sudden the documents we had didn't suffice. You could have told us over the phone you couldn't do it, there where so many other business we could have went with and in the end we did. Updated Review: I spent some time on the phone with this guy explaining that I only had a copy of my passport and I just moved and somehow my registration papers had been misplaced. I explained this to him so that neither of us would waste our time as I waited 1.5 hours for him. He assured me it wouldn't be a problem. However as soon as he saw me and my daughter, he gave me attitude and refused to help me even though I was polite and explained to him that I felt it very unprofessional of him to say he would create the key and then refuse service as soon as he saw me. Maybe there is a language barrier? That may be an issue for him, I can only guess. And yes I see race as I am black and have had people mistreat me and my family because of our race, so when you say you will do something over the phone and then as soon as you see me, you refuse, I can only come to one conclusion. And to just call me crazy and to gaslight my experience shows your lack of customer service skills. We called some other company out and they came over in 30 mins, made our key and said that this guy didn't know what he was talking about. I was already 5min away so I stay there waiting for over an hour at the storage facility and a guy finally arrives at 1:45pm. We go to the storage facility's office and they ask for a locksmith license. The "locksmith" say he's going to go back to his car to get it. Im waiting for him to come back but he's taking forever. I go outside to check and he's gone, he drove away. I call him multiple times and no answer. I have no reason to bash this business other than the service they provided, I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Im a business owner myself and it's very clear that this business is a piece of shit. A business is a reflection of the owner and I can't respect people who let their business look like this. I see the business owner replying to 1 star reviews here on yelp and that alone shows what type of person he is. I bought a spare key to upgrade my Toyota Corolla key to one of those regular flip remote key, so it'll stop jabbing me in the freakin thigh when I try to put it in my pockets and easier to fit into my smaller bags. I then needed it to be cut and programmed. Best places are always word of mouth so upon asking the people I knew, "hey, do you know any good locksmiths?" I was actually recommended First Bay Locksmith (lol bet you thought I was gonna say Real Time Locksmith). Unfortunately, First Bay had stopped working on vehicles. Instead, Ben recommended Kfir of Real Time Locksmith for me. Kfir had answered my calls/texts and questions promptly and had agreed to cut my key the same day after I get off work. I offered to drive to his shop since the time I get off work varies from 4:30-7pm. We ended up meeting half way from his shop and my work around 6p. During my inquiry I was quoted at $100 for cut and programming, but upon meeting for the services it was discovered that the shop I bought the key from didn't put the chip of the key into the actual key- I received the chip separately. Kfir ended up telling me he'll have to charge me extra because now it requires him to do extra work to open up my key to insert the chip. I agreed and said it was fine (because fair, extra work = extra money. Also, if I say no then this would've just been a waste of both of our time and it had been a long ass fuckin day at work. I just wanted to get home.) I was also told he couldn't insure my key because he wasn't the one providing it. (Okay, makes sense.) He seemed a little grumpy, but he noticed and apologized. Kfir and I started chatting a little while he worked and overall, he was friendly enough. He's a new dad! Congrats! RUN AWAY DO NOT DO IT. No refund, refused to reprogram my car key, and managed to bring up a bunch of race stuff (unprompted too). Other people had mentioned that a non-programmed key will drain your car battery via the alternator (AC/DC inverter, easy to look up). He did not reprogram my key. He then consistently refused to check the interactions between the key and avionics, despite all evidence to the contrary. Then when my friend calls, he decides to try to cuss us out via speaker phone and never answers the questions provided. Truly a class act in bad news. Horrible value and service. read more
