I hired Express Locksmiths to install, but not program, a smart deadbolt in a door that never had a deadbolt. This required drilling into both the door and doorframe, which AJ accomplished with exacting precision. The new deadbolt aligns perfectly with the door frame and it freely opens and closes without issue. I'm delighted with that outcome. Unfortunately, his chiseling skills are much less accurate, leaving a large chip sticking out a bit in the side of the door, and making square recesses for a rounded strike plate and deadbolt plate. A router should have been used for both, which would have provided both rounded recesses and reduce the risk of damage. read more
