Good service. Took two visits but it worked and was economical. Highly recommended. Got two keys made.

Leon is an absolute professional. My only Maserati key got stolen and everyone I called gave up and could not help me make a duplicate key. He used his expertise to make a working key and have the immobilizer system work with it. His rates were beyond fair. I cannot recommend him enough. Thank you again for performing a miracle. read more

Leon at Automotive Key Doc is great. I shopped around and he had the best price for programming and cutting keys for my car. He came out to my work during lunch to do the job. He was on time. The replacement FOBs I had bought a year ago had bad batteries that were dead, so Leon replaced them and got the job done with plenty of time for me to grab a sandwich during my lunch hour. Leon responded promptly to my Yelp quote request, arranged to do the job during the first time slot I had open and had the best price out of six people I contacted. You should definitely use him if you need a FOB for your car programmed and cut. read more

All the positive reviews are true. This guy earned his solid 5 star Yelp rating. I lost all keys to my motorcycle, called locksmiths closest to me only to hear a fast and firm "no, we can't do it". When I called Leon, it was like talking to Liam Neeson in the movie Taken "what type of vehicle?....it can be done, let me know when" He made the house call and 20 minutes later I have two keys to my moto. This is a solid business that will stay in my contacts list. read more

Leon, was awesome. Came out, at a difficult time, and saved the day. I needed, the ignition and door lock changed. He needed a different part for the door, because of the age of the car. His prices were already lower than the rest, but because he had to make to trips he heavily discounted the entire job. This is how you do business, this is how you have a repeat customers. 20 minutes. That's how long it took him to inspect the car and create a new car key. Leon arrived 6 minutes early and was fast and efficient. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! My boyfriend lost his Nissan Sentra 2004 car key and after calling a ton of other car locksmiths, we found that Leon's prices were the best. He charged us $160 flat, while other places were asking for $200+, some not including other random fees. Leon was understanding when I told him I was comparing prices the previous day. I called today and he said he was available an hour later! Leon is a super chill guy who gets the job done the day you call. He'll also give you the exact cost over the phone! Amazing! Will be recommending to others in the future. read more

I honestly can't speak highly enough of Leon and his business. If you're in any need of making new car keys or making a spare here are the reasons why you should go through Automotive Key Doc: + Incredibly responsive with a quick turnover. I had my backpack (with my keys) stolen on Saturday. I messaged him through Yelp on Sunday to reprogram my spare and to make me a new spare. By Tuesday it was done -- whereas most other businesses hadn't even replied. + Reasonable/competitive prices. For me to get the same job done at the dealer it would have cost me ~$600. Leon charged me $250. Easy decision. + Fast work and flexible locations. Entire process took ~25 minutes. He was flexible to meet me wherever made sense for both of us which made the entire process easier. + Super chill dude. 10/10 recommend. Thanks again Leon. read more

Leon is your guy for automotive keys! Not only does he come to you but he's flexible, fast and reliable. I called Land Rover dealer about having a replacement key made and they wanted to charge over $1000.00!! My BMW at the dealer would've cost me $650! You can't beat Leon's prices (more than a 50% savings!) and his convenience. He doesn't rip you off, he's timely and he's friendly. Ended up having him make me a key for each of my Turo cars (Land Rover, BMW, Audi). I would highly recommend Leon to anyone needing a replacement key, you won't be disappointed. DONT REPLACE KEY FOBS AT A DEALERSHIP, IT'll cost you 2-3x the price of what Automotive key doc charges. They finished in under 20 minutes as well! Great service! I asked for a quote on Yelp and he got back to me right away with a reasonable price. When I called, he told me right off the bat that he might not make it the same day as he had other jobs. He called back later and said he couldn't do it, but didn't leave me hanging all day waiting for his call. Rescheduling was easy, he showed up right when he said he would, and got two keys cut and programmed very quickly. No hassles at all and he did a great job! read more

Quick and easy. I would contact him again for a programed vehicle key. It didn't take more 20min and he way on his way

Automotive Key Doc was one of the first locksmiths to respond to my Yelp Quote Request and, more importantly, was also the most affordably priced. In hindsight, I shouldn't have even bothered wasting my time waiting on other quotes -- Leon and his apprentice were that good! I appreciated that the guys were on time, since of course I was already highly anxious; and the icing on the cake was that they were really down to earth. When I first requested the quote, I cited that I am a broke, unemployed student (all of which are entirely true), who just happens to drive a bougie car! Leon joked about this with me. I did not feel judged and it was nice to have the entire process completed in less than 20 minutes from start to finish. Thanks for saving the day, guys. You turned my frown upside-down. read more

Losing a car key can be stressful, sometimes painful. Especially if it's your only key. Enter Automotive Key Doc. Truly excellent customer service, and expert workmanship. It doesn't get better than this. After losing the key (and freaking out), Leon did a home visit to help us out. His communication was top notch--he was running a bit late due to an earlier job, and called to let me know. He was super clear with price and timing, which I really appreciated. But really, this man knows his stuff. He did a great job making a new key fob, programming it, and then ensuring it worked properly. This was all done very fast. Throughout it all, he was extremely professional. Highly, highly recommended. read more

Jan 2022 I had a simple "need spare key fob"for my BMW job. Leon gave me the best quote online via Yelp compared to two another highly rated mobile key person and a fraction of dealer price. I explained not a rush and we arranged a time to meet at my office late in the afternoon. That afternoon he texted to let me know that he had two emergency calls and asked if we could do the next day. Fine by me and good to know he prioritizes stranded motorists. April 2022 my good friend is that stranded motorist since her last solo key for her Toyota was lost. Leon came to her remote Santa Cruz Mountains location on a Saturday and made two new key fobs within hours of her call. Leon provides "Just Like, WOW" service hard to find these days. read more

I could not have asked for a better experience with Automotive Key Doc. After trying and failing to seek help from a local dealership and auto body shop, I frantically called about my Hyundai's locked steering wheel. BRAHHHHHHHHH... I guess I am getting too old. Over here losing car keys like its the thing to do, SMH. Then forcing my little ones to work, searching for keys they had no part in losing, SMH. Then forgetting to tie the draw strings for my shorts, knowing my wallet has no cash but maxed out CCs and regrets, and the weight of that pulling my pants nearly to the ground like R Kelly at a high school gradu-..ahhhh SMH. But at least the capeless heros are working Sundays, ready to rescue a brotha from parking in a red zone and that $250+ ticket + tow that comes with (SHEESH!). My man Leon came in CLUTCH like those quarters you find in your pants pocket when its time to do laundry. Called him up, 3 min convo, bro came in the next 25, fitted me for a new key, and voila! Sienna is back on the prowl, rawr...LOL. Quick, easy, affordable, and there in my lonely hour. Ooh he know what I like! Good eat-...oh, this aint for food...well Good Keying! lol read more

Needed a key programmed. Contacted Leon, and he responded immediately. Rates were not only better than the dealership, but better than other automotive locksmiths as well. I highly recommend. Quickly responded as advertised and was very responsive. Although we did not have an emergency, Leon was able to service our issue the same day. Leon thank you for quick service! Leon tested everything before leaving. Door lock, remote working and my car battery was also down and he helped it as well.
