I called 3 places who wanted insanely over $1K to replace and recalibrate my windshield. Most new cars have the electronic box for lane assist, cruise control sensors and heated steering wheel on the box mounted on your windshield. Well, here's the thing, having worked with many computer systems, shouldn't things get reset when you unplug and plug them back in? Why does anything need to be recalibrated from a hard restart? Mr. Pink's does not charge for that. Replace the glass, mount and replug in the electronic mount. Everything works great. Just as it did before the pinecone pounding. My new windshield was done and set in 2 hours. You guys rock, are honest, and don't rob people blind...especially women. We all know how auto places try to tell women we need extra services that are usually not needed or even made up. Shop was recommended by a friend who knew the owner (I guess he retired and friend said people say quality has gone downhill). I stopped in to check on progress and my truck was parked outside with the rear taillights removed. I asked why and was told it was "to match the paint with front fender (replacement) so they painted the entire side. I accepted this at face value, not thinking it was covering something up. I would have even opted for a complete repaint had I known ahead of time (or if they had let me know about the cover-up). Fast forward a few years, paint started spidering and cracking on the hood replacement, but metal wasn't exposed. Then a bubble appeared on the rear (repainted) fender and it grew. It split and primer appeared underneath. More cracks started appearing across the entire area of respray. I looked closer while taking pics and saw the Bondo separation (wheel well) where they just slathered Bondo, shaped it to match the body lines and called it "paint matching" ("phew, time to pop the Coronas)." I called and emailed, Eddie said he would "look into it." Now they have gone radio silent. This truck was purchased new in Oxnard, had always been hand washed, just used as a commuter. No accidents or previous dents or repairs. I'd have accepted working out a solution before, but deciding to ignore leaves me no option but to have the proper repair done and sue in small claims. Use caution if you any service performed and keep a close eye on the repair afterwards. Better yet, find a shop approved by your insurance company. I learned an expensive lesson.

I had been dealing with my insurance company for ten days. Second, his company had to send the car to Toyota for calibration. The car came back defective. Casey would not let my wife this car until the issue was resolved by Toyota. They did it free of charge. Casey did not want my wife to be stranded. Finally, when the Prius Prime, 2025, was returned back to his shop Casey stayed an additional one half hour as my wife was running late so she could pick up her car and return the rental car.
