just a terrible experience overall with this place. and the owner somehow made me feel like i'm…read morebeing the unreasonable one. i paid out of pocket to get my door, which was dented due to me scraping my wife's side view mirror, fixed and repainted in 2024 when i was living in whittier. ended up seeing when i brought it home that the paint was missing in some places (some pinholes where the metal was still visible) and also some lint stuck in the paint (see pics). obviously wasn't happy, so i brought it back and the manager at the time, Orlando, agreed to repaint it. I wasn't the nicest about how I conveyed my discontent, and I own that. The owner, Tony, made it a point to say i'm just a picky guy which kind of pissed me off, but I honestly don't know one person that would be okay with paying for a sloppy paint job. well, fast forward to now, roughly 2 years later, and i see rust spots forming under the window trim and 2 chips in the paint under the TUNDRA badge where there's clearly another layer of white paint underneath. it seems to me that, instead of repainting, they buffed the problem areas and sprayed over the initial paint job. Well, the office manager, Cesar tells me to bring my truck on the weekend. i end up having to push to the following weekend. I drop my truck off, pay $80 to Uber home to the IE, and Tony calls me Monday afternoon to basically tell me he doesn't know why Cesar told me to bring the truck in and that i was a pain for coming back to him with my complaints back in '24, and that he wasn't going to do anything for me. he told me to come pick up the truck and hung up on me. keep in mind Cesar had over 2 weeks between when I first talked to him and when I brought my truck in to talk to Tony. anyways, I paid another $80 to uber there and pick up my truck and we're cordial to each other. he tells me how he buffed the rust stains off and added touch up paint to the chips so I don't get more rust. i'm over it so I grab my key and take off. they talk about how their work is guaranteed, but it wasn't for me, so be warned. the only place on that entire truck that has rust spots and chipped paint is where Whittier Collision 2 did work.

I took this car to this body shop twice for both upgrades; one for the bumper and lip and the other for the trunk and wing. Galaxy Auto Haus did a great job for all aspects of the upgrade, from paint matching to panel fitment. I really can't tell that the paint on the bumper, trunk, and body are not from the same painting run; the color match on these panels is that good. Pricing was pretty fair and Honorio was very meticulous when it came to getting all of the details right. If I have another kind of project for a car like this, I know that these guys will get it done right.

This shop caused multiple areas of damage to my car and I would not return…read more The damage was never disclosed to me, not when the work was completed, not when I picked up my car, and not when I paid for the repaint job. I only discovered it once I got home. When I confronted the shop owner, Pat, he admitted to the damages but communication from that point on became challenging and more difficult than it needed to be. There were long gaps without his response and at times the tone felt dismissive or unnecessarily tense, which made the situation even more stressful. I've made many attempts to work with Pat to find a fair and reasonable solution. To this day, I'm actually still waiting for a reply to my last message asking again to discuss a reasonable solution. After repeated non-responses and apathetic communication, it became clear that no compromise would be reached. The only option he is willing to offer is the one solution I clearly stated I'm not comfortable with: bringing my car back this same shop that damaged it in the first place. Given the damages my car received from 5 Stars Automotive, my hesitation is understandable. I even tried to negotiate a different solution by providing multiple repair estimates from other reputable auto shops and he responded by calling this practice "dishonest" (very ironic, I know). I'm leaving this review because I believe it's important to be transparent about my experience. I put my trust in this shop to restore my car's appearance, but instead I'm forced to deal with additional damages they caused.

Yen took care of the muffler delete and Lee and two other very helpful gentlemen took care of my coil overs. I have to say I am very satisfied with the quality of work for the value. They quoted me way under anyone else that I had called prior to going with them. I will recommend A-1 Muffler Express to all of my friends and family. They all make you feel that you're part of the family. They offered me coffee and cold water while I waited for my car to be done. One thing to remember, they are experts in mufflers, exhaust systems, and not any other type of work. But it never hurts to ask if they can do it for you!

My previous review was moved to Not Recommended. Reposting with some tweaks, I have spoken to Yelp about this suppression as well. Where do I begin? Three words to sum up my experience with ACG..Dishonest, Shady, Unreliable. My wife hit her tesla going 3 miles an hour by making a u-turn and scratched the two right rims and front bumper. A bunch of error lights and alignment were off so took into Tesla. Tesla quoted me $500 to realign and get rid of all the errors and quoted me $850 per rim replacement. An hour later they they called me recommended I take it in to an approved Tesla Repair shop to check for internal damage. I took it to the closest Tesla approved repair shop which was Auto Collision Group..what a mistake. A lady came out and stated it was going to be over $10k to repair. I asked how does she know, she didn't even look inside? Long story short, it took them over two weeks to get back to me to give me a quote. (In hindsight, this is intentional...keep reading below). They confirmed no internal damage..To replace two rims, and fix scratch on bumper was going to be $12,500. Pretty crazy, so I told them I would like to take the car to get a second opinion. They said you can but I would have to tow it out as is and they would charge me $4k for storage fees. I then stated for the rims, I will just buy two off of ebay. They stated that is not allowed and they have to fix everything on that $12,500 quote. Why is this body shop holding my car hostage and telling me what to do with my car? Long story short, because of this, I had to go through insurance when it really should have been a $4000 all in repair job at most. (Rims from dealer $850 each, $500 to align and fix errors, fix scratch). Insurance negotiated them down and they proceeded with the work. This repair took over a month and the rep called me for 7 days straight saying it should be ready today, when it wasn't ready waiting for parts. Repair took over 1.5 months from when i first took it in. They then called me saying the car didn't pass alignment and they submitted a supplemental to fix..another $8K! I asked them what did they look at for the two weeks when they confirmed there was zero internal damage? The first place they should of checked was the front rim where it hit the curb? Wait,there's more! The day I picked it up, i had to wait 2 hours in. there because they didn't have the paperwork/insurance payments all reconciled. I finally drove it off and one minute into the drive, all the error lights from when I first brought in the car went off. I had to return back and they serviced it for another hour to fix. Wait there's more. They originally told me they would waive my deductible when I first took it in which they reneg'd on. They then came back with an offer to reduce it by 50% if I gave them 5 star reviews on yelp and google. I refused and am writing this review. Now I know how their reviews are so high! Stay far away from this place! I will be making a formal complaint to Tesla and to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. I've never been taken for a ride by a body shop like this before. read more

Huge shoutout to Andrew, Marisol, Vivian, Maria and the team at ACG Whittier for excellent work and professionalism throughout the repair process of my Tesla Model 3! I am so glad to have my car back and it looks great- shiny and dent free. My 2020 Model 3 was rear ended this past July and turned out to need extensive repairs totaling over 20k in repair costs. After the accident, I was referred to ACG Whittier by Tesla and saw that ACG was also highly recommended by other members in the Socal Tesla facebook group. From inspection, to handling processes with the insurance adjuster, to performing repairs, and everything in between, Andrew and the ACG team took care of every step with expertise. No lie, there were some hiccups along the way in regards to Tesla parts from the factory which led to delays to the ETA, but I truly appreciate the way the ACG team handled it to resolution with solid communication and Andrew took time to let me know the progress and next steps at each checkpoint so I was kept in the loop on the status. Sometimes these things relating to supply chain are unpredictable, but it gave me peace of mind to be in the loop and I could tell Andrew and the team really cared and were on it to take care of it so that I could be back in my car. My car was detailed and looked awesome when I picked it up. Overall, excellent experience with ACG Whitter and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an auto body shop. 10/10. read more

The entire team here is amazing, everyone's customer service is tremendous, from start to finish while they had my vehicle in their faculty. All they did was help me out from start to finish. After my car accident I felt like I had no hope and was referred to them two days after my accident. They helped me get my car from Moreno Valley and bring it to their faculty with no charge or towing fees after my accident and as soon as my insurance cleared all the amounts and cost it took them about 3 days to finish everything. It was estimated two weeks but took them a way shorter amount of time. My car looked like a total loss, the damages were extremely bad and when I got my car back it looks like I just got it out of a dealer. No complaints and no issues. To begin I would like to thank the ACG team. This bodyshop has excellent customer service. After being involved in a rear car collision I had $22k worth of damages. They rebuild pretty much the whole back end of my vehicle. They're BMW certified that's why I took my M3 with them. The best decision I made. The car now looks like new paint job was done on point no overspray or uneven spots. The whole way through the process they were there keeping me updated. Anyone if unfortunately you get involved in a car accident don't even think twice head down to this shop they'll take care of you and your vehicle. I brought my car in after getting backed into. I scouted out a few other places as well but none of them seemed to have the same experience working with teslas as Jorge and his team. I was still sort of reluctant though - being that this is not the average car. After asking about a million questions, I finally handed my keys over and they took it from there. I gotta say, the experience was overall pretty impressive. My car came out looking exactly the way it was before it went in. Everything they used was original and the process was explained thoroughly.They even went to bat for me with when my insurance started trying to weasel out of paying for smaller things. read more

Having lived in Whittier all my life I like to give business to local merchants however when a merchant tries to take advantage of a consumer I don't appreciate that hence my review, I needed some work done on my car and found this body shop on yelp, I went in for a simple estimate and they asked me if I wanted a verbal or a written estimate, well I needed a written estimate for my insurance claim, I had to wait a little while then they told me they wanted to charge me $50 for an estimate!! That is ridiculous, I would not pay $50 for an estimate let alone give them my business, my recommendation and stay away from this establishment read more

Run away screaming!!!! ACG STILL hasn't "found" all the missing (not to mention broken) parts from my Tesla S. "Oh, we'll check on it and get back to you"....not a peep from'em about the $1,000+ missing interior parts. And my my broken taillight?..."We'll have to check the 'intake photos' to see if it's our responsibility." What a load of crap. Then they tries to sweet talk me into signing for their "repairs" BEFORE they let me see the car. At $250/day storage fees, don't expect them to answer your phone calls, texts, or emails...that's their secret money-maker. DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE, YOU'LL BE SORRY AND MUCH POORER. read more

This is the best auto shop I've been to. The front of my car was damaged after a collision and I needed to get my car fixed ASAP. David was really accommodating and walked me through the process step by step. He gave me a quote quickly and took care most of the insurance process so I didn't have to worry. He also provided quick responses to any questions or concerns I had. Besides the spectacular customer service, they had my car looking brand new again. If you are looking for a body shop will take care of your car to look like it was before . I can assure to you this is the one . Someone hit my car from back and broke my corner panel . I tried this body shop for the first time and they bought everything brand new for me from BMW and when I got the car , I was so so happy how friendly they are and how they did such a great job . He gave me a very reasonable estimate and was willing to work directly with the person who hit my van, which made the whole process smooth and easy. My gut told me to go with him, and I'm glad I did. When I picked up my ProMaster, he walked me through everything they had done. The work was great -- really great. The final price was very fair, honestly the best out of everywhere I checked. One issue that came up was a backorder on one of the sensors, so they expedited the shipping. As soon as it arrived, they got the job done right away. Great work, great customer service, highly recommend.

just a terrible experience overall with this place. and the owner somehow made me feel like i'm…read morebeing the unreasonable one. i paid out of pocket to get my door, which was dented due to me scraping my wife's side view mirror, fixed and repainted in 2024 when i was living in whittier. ended up seeing when i brought it home that the paint was missing in some places (some pinholes where the metal was still visible) and also some lint stuck in the paint (see pics). obviously wasn't happy, so i brought it back and the manager at the time, Orlando, agreed to repaint it. I wasn't the nicest about how I conveyed my discontent, and I own that. The owner, Tony, made it a point to say i'm just a picky guy which kind of pissed me off, but I honestly don't know one person that would be okay with paying for a sloppy paint job. well, fast forward to now, roughly 2 years later, and i see rust spots forming under the window trim and 2 chips in the paint under the TUNDRA badge where there's clearly another layer of white paint underneath. it seems to me that, instead of repainting, they buffed the problem areas and sprayed over the initial paint job. Well, the office manager, Cesar tells me to bring my truck on the weekend. i end up having to push to the following weekend. I drop my truck off, pay $80 to Uber home to the IE, and Tony calls me Monday afternoon to basically tell me he doesn't know why Cesar told me to bring the truck in and that i was a pain for coming back to him with my complaints back in '24, and that he wasn't going to do anything for me. he told me to come pick up the truck and hung up on me. keep in mind Cesar had over 2 weeks between when I first talked to him and when I brought my truck in to talk to Tony. anyways, I paid another $80 to uber there and pick up my truck and we're cordial to each other. he tells me how he buffed the rust stains off and added touch up paint to the chips so I don't get more rust. i'm over it so I grab my key and take off. they talk about how their work is guaranteed, but it wasn't for me, so be warned. the only place on that entire truck that has rust spots and chipped paint is where Whittier Collision 2 did work.
